This is a continuation of the parkrunning thread where are all are welcome to chat about tourism, tee-shirts, PBs and everything else parkrun (and sometimes non-parkrun) related.

If you have been lurking on a previous thread now is the time to come out and say hello Grin. Like parkrun we're very inclusive and always welcoming to new starters Smile. And we love hearing about new courses we haven't been to Smile

Message from Russ Jeffereys (parkrun Head of Marketing):

Apologies if you've received an email from Wiggle saying your milestone t-shirt is out of stock and won't be replaced. This is a technical glitch with Wiggle's automatic 'out of stock' notification system.

The good news is we have just signed off a BIG new order with Tribesports for thousands more milestone t-shirts.

This shipment should be with us in April and will mean we will entirely catch up with the backlog.

Thanks everyone for your positivity and support.

This is the response I've just had:

Thanks for getting in touch regarding your Park Run T-Shirt.

I can confirm that we will no longer be stocking the current the current 100 T-Shirt as Park Run will be changing it. We're due to get the new t-shirt in April 2016, Park Run should keep you posted.

Sorry for any disappointment caused,

Regards

April???????

Sheeesh I had to wait a year for my 50 shirt!

FiftyNineOhEight · 01/12/2015 20:25

I had a long wait for my 50 shirt too Melanie

My 100 shirt was out of stock, so i added myself to the wiggle mailing list to get an alert when stock came in - haven't heard anything yet.

On a brighter note, parkrun HQ have kindly re-authorised DS1's 10 shirt Smile

cinnamongreyhound · 01/12/2015 21:53

Yay for ds1's 10 shirt Grin FiftyNineOhEight!

Official announcement has been April, took quite a while to make the first batch so I guess it makes sense. Out of interest which size are you both after? I don't expect to do my 100 before March so I won't have too long to wait Wink

FiftyNineOhEight · 02/12/2015 08:20

cinners I went for a medium for my 100 shirt. And have ordered a large for DS. He looks as though he has slimmed down a bit (not that he was very big to start with, but he has swapped rugby for rowing now that he is at university and that seems to have changed his body shape a bit).

MelanieCheeks · 02/12/2015 08:41

My 50 shirt is a medium, and is on the baggy side. I was intending to order a small 100, but will see how I feel come April Wink

Blatherskite · 02/12/2015 13:09

They're changing them? Again?!

cinnamongreyhound · 02/12/2015 14:26

Thanks ladies, I love my small volunteer one so will be going for a small again. No change blatherskite just the new batch being ready. Many sizes are out of stock again.

ThursdayLastWeek · 03/12/2015 08:41

Definitely get a Small! I ordered a medium and it fits my 26 weeks pregnant body perfectly Hmm

Blatherskite · 03/12/2015 09:46

That Wiggle e-mail definitely says changing.

Then again, it also repeatedly says "Park Run" so it's probably not to be trusted Wink

HalleLouja · 03/12/2015 10:44

I have ordered my 50 T-Shirt.

FiftyNineOhEight · 04/12/2015 23:52

Oh goody Halle we can do a red shirt meet up when you come up my way Grin

It will be wild and windy volunteering tomorrow! Happy running everyone!

MelanieCheeks · 05/12/2015 07:20

Storm Desmond is upon us, very wild and windy out there this morning. But we have our parkrun Christmas lunch to look forward to later, so I'd better get out and burn off a few calories in advance.

reallyneedmoresleep · 05/12/2015 07:25

Oooohhhh it's cold and windy and dark and my bed is looking more inviting than the parkrun ...

cinnamongreyhound · 05/12/2015 07:44

It dark here but the sky is pink! Just feeding ds3 then off to set up.

FiftyNineOhEight · 05/12/2015 08:20

I am secretly glad not to be running today - yesterday's yoga class felt very gentle, but it obviously wasn't, as I hurt in places I didn't know it was possible to hurt Smile

Royal Mail sent me a text to say they are delivering a parcel from Wiggle today - excellent service all round!

ThursdayLastWeek · 05/12/2015 08:38

Oops, DS had a bit if a bad night last night and we only just got up.
No parkrun for me today I actually don't mind sshh

Have a great day everyone! Don't get blown away!

reallyneedmoresleep · 05/12/2015 09:57

Did it!! And I think I managed under 30 minutes (I am slow - this is a massive achievement) but I wet myself at about 4km. Oh the horror...

standingonlego · 05/12/2015 11:09

It was wild out there today!!! Well done *needmoresleep, under 30 is a huge milestone :)

FiftyNineOhEight · 05/12/2015 12:11

That is a massive achievement indeed reallyneedmoresleep! It took me ages to get under 30 minutes.

Quite wild and blustery here, and numbers were down - well below 200. It's our local HM tomorrow and several of us who were volunteering today are running tomorrow.

MyBlackCat · 05/12/2015 12:50

Well done reallyneedmoresleep that's a great achievement.

I wasn't really feeling it this morning which showed in my run, I haven't ran that slow since my 4th parkrun back in April Sad 50mph winds also didn't help

cinnamongreyhound · 05/12/2015 13:04

Well done reallyneedmoresleep! Get going with some pelvic floor exercises.

We didn't put our gazebo up for fear it would end up in a tree!! We had an OK turn out despite the weather today.

reallyneedmoresleep · 05/12/2015 13:30

Clench clench clench

chutneypig · 05/12/2015 13:49

Well done reallyneedmoresleep I'm very jealous!

I didn't run today. DDS woke up feeling poorly with a cold and I'd been awake half the night thinking the scaffolding next door was about to appear in our garden. DH braved the winds to go but said it was very hard going. I've not seen such slow times since I started.

MelanieCheeks · 05/12/2015 17:11

Gosh, I wasn't expecting a good run today-haven't been out all week and conditions were awful. But I managed a respectable just-over-26 and was 4th female!
