Hi all, I've just realised I maxed out our thread by posting the 1000th post earlier so I thought I should start a new one!

Hoping you all find me here...

I survived! Knackered now. Plan is to do max30 tomorrow after work but that will take discipline!

Hope you all had a good day

yumyumpoppycat · 15/06/2015 23:41

Well done on 1st day back at work Purple - that is a milestone....you can def be disciplined and keep on with IM30 please I can't do it on my own

SwampyTigga - rockin bodies sounds fun!

Hi everyone!

Had an unscheduled rest day today so really should get to bed and have some actual rest now.

jemstipp · 16/06/2015 16:05

Hi Ladies. Haven't been on for a while and actually hadn't done my insanity for a few weeks (lambs, fencing, spraying fields and shearing all got in the way). Thought I'd hest reset the dial and started at the start. BLOODY. HELL. lol

yumyumpoppycat · 16/06/2015 21:32

Welcome back Jems!

I maxed out at about 30 seconds today...got it done though!

Hi5s to everyone KOCOing

Purpleraindeer · 17/06/2015 07:23

Hello. So, I didn t do max30 last night as i gave myself a mild food poisoning so spent the previous night puking. Was still feeling pretty rank yesterday so decided that tabata power probably wasn't the best way to cure it. Tonight I promise!

Welcome back Jem!

And welcome swampy. I was quite tempted by rocking body. Is it harder/easier/same as t25?

spookyskeleton · 17/06/2015 07:43

purple hope you are better now, not a great way to start your first week back at work Grin

jem welcome back.

Disaster!! The website that I was using to devise my hybrid workout has been taken down by Beachbody Shock I stupidly didn't print it off and I cannot find a hybrid with the workouts that I want in the internet Sad I don't know what to do... I know I can make my own but I like being told what to do and I know I would avoid the workouts I hate if I did my own.

Jacksterbear · 17/06/2015 09:04

Nice to see you back jem.

Oh crap Purple what a nightmare! How are you feeling now?

spooky, just saw your post and went to check my hybrid schedule... and yep, same problem. And I am exactly the same as you re wanting to be given a workout schedule so as not to just avoid the ones I don't like! Bollocks! SadAngry

ps well done for getting through the workout poppy. What is KOCO?

OP posts:
swampytiggaa · 17/06/2015 11:03

Purple - rocking bodies is deceptively hard I find. It looks like it will be really easy but it isn't. There's no floor stuff - the abs programme is only 10 minutes but I feel I am doing it better than T25 iyswim.

I like it - five days into the programme lol. There are six workouts a week and they are longer than T25 but go quickly.

Husband is doing insanity. It scares me.

yumyumpoppycat · 17/06/2015 11:22

Purple that timing sucks - what did you eat that was off Shock Hope you are feeling better Flowers

What an annoying move by beachbody, Jacks and Spooky. Surely the hybrids encourage people to buy their workouts Angry Confused Was it the piyo/ T25 hybrid is the screen shot still on the last thread? I think BB are pushing the coach thing.

KOCO Keeping on carrying on - today it felt like a drag working out - I don't think I like the idea of maxing out everyday! I think I need to start writing the times down more carefully from scratch as at the moment my times are getting worse!

Fullsteamahead · 17/06/2015 11:23

Hi guys, so sorry for the long absence. No exercise to report, still taking it easy but glad to say things are improving, I've put a bit of weight back on and have had a period! Also started taking multivitamins and extra Vit B to help with hormonal balance.

Don't think I'll be exercising until about mid July now, we are moving house and I'm up to my eyes with packing at the moment!

I promise to come back then and will probably restart T25 to ease me back in. Good job all of you for sticking with exercise, I'll try to read through the last three pages later to see what you've been up to :)

yumyumpoppycat · 17/06/2015 15:18

Fullsteam so happy to hear your feeling a bit better! x

jemstipp · 17/06/2015 15:52

Day 2 nit so bad. My arse was a bit stiff during the stretches though lol.

spookyskeleton · 17/06/2015 16:56

full steam lovely to hear from you, glad that things are looking up for you Smile

yum no it isn't that hybrid - it was a custom built one with all 3 t25's, piyo and combat. I thought exactly the same jackster you would think that beachbody would be pleased that people are doing their workouts. Am wondering if there is a website that will generate random numbers and I can allocate numbers to all the different workouts?? Make my own Grin

Purpleraindeer · 17/06/2015 21:28

Hi fullsteam. Glad you're ok. Packing sounds like hard work. You'll be begging for a bit of t25 to rest! Do you have any idea what caused your symptoms?

Am feeling loads better today. Got a good nights sleep for the first time in months (thanks ds!) and no more puking. I'm a whole new woman! I will never reheat takeaway rice again. Managed tabata strength tonight when I got home from work so I was pleased. It's harder exercising at the end of the day for sure.
Poppy - hang in there with max30. I found it really hard at first to mentally start each workout as they felt so hard. I'm not sure it's really possible to improve your max out times each week as everyone has up and down days. I have noticed tho that doing month 1 again, it all feels so much more manageable (still couldn't do today's diamond press ups tho!).
Have a good evening everyone! Smile

Sarahlouboo · 18/06/2015 07:05

Hi everyone!

Welcome Swampy and welcome back Fullsteam! So pleased you are feeling better. I am also moving! I refused to pack anything until we exchanged contracts as we had a sale that fell through earlier in the year and now I am ShockShockShock, trying to get everything sorted in 1 week! Lol, I like a challenge.

Jemstip - laughing at your stiff bum!

Hi everyone else Grin

That's annoying about the hybrids being taken down! I am really all over the place at the moment. Done a run, a body coach HIIT workout and T25 gamma pyramid so far this week. Want to settle down and do a programme and I am like you Purple (was it you?), I like the idea of someone telling me what to do! I am really tempted by the body coach for that reason but I didn't think much to his workout. It was effective and very simple (I will def do it on holiday) but I suspect you would soon get bored. I still like the idea of having a personalised diet plan. Has anyone else been tempted?

Sarahlouboo · 18/06/2015 07:07

Sorry spooky it was you who said about the hybrids!

swampytiggaa · 18/06/2015 07:51

Just done 35 mins of disco with Shaun T. I have no coordination and my abs hurt. Good start to the day tho!

Well done everyone with insanity - it scares me!

Jacksterbear · 18/06/2015 08:24

swampy, rockin bodies sounds quite similar to Hip Hop Abs. Insanity scares me too! I have it, and have done all the month 1 workouts but never properly done the full schedule, even for month 1; and have not gone near a month 2 workout! Maybe one day I will take the plunge and do it properly!

Purple glad you're feeling better. Well done for fitting in some exercise on top of your first week back to work and being ill! That's great stuff.

Got to go, will post this now and continue later...

Sarah I mentioned about the body coach earlier in the thread as my friend has signed up to it. I have looked at his workouts on YouTube and FB and tbh, they look completely uninspiring and I know I would get extremely bored doing them - I am sure they work but they look very functional and dull and seem to invlove the same 5 exercises over and over again. My friend is on about week 3 and I haven't seen her to see how she looks (they are not allowed to weigh themselves) but she is struggling with the time commitment involved in shopping, cooking 3 fresh meals a day etc. Plus, not only has she spent ?150 on the diet itself, she is spending a fortune on meat and other ingredients - the photos on his FB page look amazing but I just can't justify the expense and I know that I would not be able to cook fresh meals 3 x a day plus find time to do a HIIT workout that I would hate Hmm

Right, I have put together my own hybrid - I wrote down all the different workouts from the 3 programmes (31 in total), numbered them all then found a random number generator on the internet which has given me a number list for 50 workouts Grin DH thinks I am crackers but since he is just choosing the T25 workouts that he wants to do, I am ignoring him!

yumyumpoppycat · 18/06/2015 10:47

I am very intrigued by phase 2 of the body coach. Phase 1 seems to be lowish carb, more or less primal MDA so 'clean eating' low on sugar/junk, bread etc, but what is in phase 2?! I have noticed this whey protein in a few of the photos on facebook. If you sign up for the lean guide you get £25 off the sign up fee at the end of the 2 weeks.

I am not that interested in his workouts at the moment, possibly they are more time efficient (?) and worth considering if dvds more or less every day become a chore, but I am kind of enjoying my beachbody challenges at the mo! (Haven't worked out so far today dc3 off sick as was puking last night)

How is work going Purple?

yumyumpoppycat · 18/06/2015 10:55

lol Spooky - prob as good a method as any Grin

This is quite interesting, gives advice on workout schedule towards the end www.bodymoment.org/21-day-fix-review/#more-2093 however I don't think it would work that well for t25 on its own.

Also shakeology alternative www.bodymoment.org/shakeology-alternative/

yumyumpoppycat · 18/06/2015 10:57

Actually spooky don't even look at that thing I linked to your plan sounds more fun!

stonefree · 18/06/2015 17:59

I can't believe the hybrid site is down. I was going to use it after I finished t25.

Well, on friday I didn't do my double, I stayed in and ate junk instead. The rest of the weekend wasn't much better and it even spilled over into monday night. Do you ever just fall off the wagon a bit and feel unmotivated? Does anyone else miss the occasional workout? I feel like it's cheating as I've 'mentally' committed myself to finish t25. So I was feeling down about my lack of discipline and feeling down about my body but managed to snap out of it on Tuesday and did a double.

I'm now wondering whether it might be better for me to do a couple of doubles a week instead of every day.

I'm moving onto beta soon and i'm dreading it. When I did it before I had my weights but I only have resistance bands as I'm away for work til August. I really don't like the resistance bands, I feel like they're maybe too short to do some of the arm weight exercises. I don't really want to buy more though and I can't buy weights as I'd need to take them home on a plane.

Gah.

Sarahlouboo · 18/06/2015 19:02

Spooky and Yumyum - yep I think the workouts are boring. 5 reps of 4 exercises. I am intrigued by the diet plan though and really like the look of the food. I think phase two carbs are reintroduced along with weight training. I think if I go for it I would stick to t25 cardio exercises in phase 1. Thanks for the tip re the discount.

Stone - I defo fall off the wagon diet wise all the time. I have found that for me exercising 25 mins a day works better than longer sessions more infrequently. But why don't you give it a go for a week and see how you feel? I rarely actually want to exercise but the thought of not exercising is less and less acceptable, it has slowly become part of my routine and I feel itchy if I can't exercise! So I don't often feel motivated is what I am trying to say but I make myself do it as I know I will feel better. Talking of which I need to go pack some more boxes - bleugh!
