I may be being thick and have missed something but if you go to a parkrun you've done and click on your name, then all parkruns by this athlete it does the same?

Blatherskite · 20/03/2015 22:13

I'm being naughty tomorrow and going to an inaugural! Blush

Better go to bed, I need to leave at 6.30!

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 20/03/2015 22:42

Night night Blathers, I need to go and pack my bag as well Smile

cinnamon In mine it only shows the last 10 runs and a list of events, whereas the link shows all in chronological order.

feetheart · 21/03/2015 06:28

Which one Blathers? Think there are 4 today!

I'm RD for the first time (with most of our team volunteering too) and am more than slightly nervous - may all the runners remember their barcodes, enjoy an injury/accident-free run without annoying the general public, may the results-processing work first time and the breakfast be good. I don't ask for much in life but would like today to work please :)

Happy park running everyone :)

karatekimmi · 21/03/2015 06:39

Good luck feet I'm sure it'll all be fine and you be eating a bacon butty thinkng what was I worrying about!!

karatekimmi · 21/03/2015 06:40

Good luck to everyone else as well, runners, volunteers and those who are still in bed Envy

feetheart · 21/03/2015 06:43

Thanks kimmi, mmmmmmm bacon :)

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 21/03/2015 07:33

Hope the RDing goes well feet I am in awe of what you have taken on Smile. Enjoy your bacon sarnie!

Morning kimmi, I was awake before the alarm today. This weekend is going to be manic, so I'm glad it's starting with a parkrun.

Hope all goes smoothly, feet!

HalleLouja · 21/03/2015 07:53

Feet you will rock. I am not going today as am tapering for Welwyn HM tomorrow. Is mini-feet coming too?

Happy parkrun day everyone.

cinnamongreyhound · 21/03/2015 10:17

You will be fab feetheart and if all those things don't come together you will sort it!

Just snuck under 32 with a poo stop for little dog today, it's cold, windy and wet or there today Sad

I probably sound really grumpy saying this but I'll be glad when Im just a runner again! I'm not good at attention and I'm getting a lot now! I had a bloke who was clearly determined not to be beaten by me and nearly killed himself trying to stay in front but didn't manage it and everyone has some comment about how well I'm doing, how they can't beleive I'm due so soon etc, roll on anonymity Grin

cinnamongreyhound · 21/03/2015 10:18

Should have been over here not on here.

ThursdayLast · 21/03/2015 10:53

Hi everyone!

I was a barcode scanner today - I really enjoyed it! The time went so fast, I much prefer it to timekeeping.

Hope you've all had a good day - I'm going to an inaugural next week then getting married the next Grin

ThursdayLast · 21/03/2015 12:42

Im a liar. There's another week between me and the wedding.

feetheart · 21/03/2015 12:57

SA survived, as did I :)
336 runners mainly listened when I yelled at them at the start (the mega-phone was too cumbersome and I wasn't sure how loud it was whereas I know how loud I can be :)), there were no incidents, very little grumbling, the results processing went smoothly (helped a lot by the ED talking me through it) and the crumpets with Nutella tasted GOOD :)
I now have 3 more Saturdays to fill before the off - Tring next week I think, then I'm not sure.

Blatherskite · 21/03/2015 15:20

I went to Maidenhead. It was a lovely course but not one of the easiest!

I heard about SA feet. "The Wife" said she had to tell you about whoever it was doing the newbie briefing telling people that writing down their time and name was OK! Glad it wasn't too stressful.

It looks like I might be away for your inaugural Sad DBro is doing his 100th that weekend and I'd promised to be there.

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 21/03/2015 16:00

Panshanger PB by almost a minute, despite turning up just in time for the end of the briefing and starting at the backGrin Grin Grin

Oooooh Nutella crumpets! Glad it went smoothly, feet.

I had fun in Armagh-will post my blog later. A tough course, but quite a few 35min plus runners, so it's a good one for slower and newer runners to enjoy.

familygermsareok · 21/03/2015 17:42

Glad it went well feet Smile

Grin at the bloke trying not to get beaten by the pregnant lady cinnamon, I hope he has seen the error of his assumptions now Wink

Well done on PB OhOneOhTwo!

I am very chuffed, came within 2s of my PB today and I have never been near it before. I did have a sneaking suspicion that it wasn't real and there might have been an error with the timers that day as there were an awful lot of PBs and my Garmin which usually gives me a faster time than official was actually a bit slower. But with today's result I feel justified in claiming it fully Grin.
just have to beat it now........

feetheart · 21/03/2015 19:00

Blathers - aah, that was 'the wife', if she had said that I would have known :) Passed on the info about the newbie briefing to the ED (not my problem that one :)) Any other feedback would be good.
Never mind about the inaugural, we'll be there every week from then on, apart from Week 6 (May BH) as that's carnival w/e.

Well done family and ohone for your times and cinnamon for putting annoying person in their rightful place :)

DS's club awards night tonight so best get a move on...

karatekimmi · 21/03/2015 19:26

I often find people don't want to be overtaken by a pushchair either, cinnamon well done on a good run, and here is looking forward to running san bump soon!! although I wont be overtaking much in the near future!!

Glad everything went well feet where is your new parkrun going to be? I suspect it will be far to far away from me in telford, but you never know!!

Glad you were close to your PB germs and even better if you beat it 010203

I handed out finish tokens and it went fine. I'm looking forward to running next week!!

cinnamongreyhound · 21/03/2015 20:36

I did a 10mile race with my club mate who is very speedy last year karatekimmi and she got a reasonable amount of verbal abuse from 2 men she over took. Very sad that they are so insecure about themselves that they need to be so horrible. The men in our club welcome competition from her as they know she's good and equal to them in ability it's not about sex at all. Bet the blokes wouldn't have been so unhappy to be beaten by Paula Radcliffe or maybe they would. Everyone has their own ability and that's what I worry about when running. My PB is 6 mins faster than I did today but a 32min 5k is good for me AT THE MOMENT and that's all I care about. I do my best and I don't mind where I am in comparison to everyone else but then I'm not a competitive person at all! I am in awe of anyone running with a pushchair, regardless of time. I've done two mins downhill with my double when late for school in the past and it nearly killed me Wink

ImBrian · 21/03/2015 20:42

I did my 4th park run today since I started running 8 weeks ago, got a pb with 30.31 so over the moon as 3 minutes off my time 3 weeks ago and ten minutes off my time from my first one Smile. Now to get under 30!
I love parkrun, everyone's so friendly and supportive. I'm going to take my dd next time as she's desperate for a go and ours has a lot of children who go at various paces. Today's first female was a under 10 year old with a time of 21 minutes!!! Amazing kid!

familygermsareok · 22/03/2015 08:27

Shock and Angry That is awful about your friend getting abuse cinnamon. Could she have reported them to the race organisers? I suppose the best response was just to ignore them and get satisfaction from beating them. I just don't get why some men think they must automatically be better because of their gender.

Well done ImBrian, that is a fantastic improvement in your times Smile. It is such a good feeling to see them come down.
I love parkrun too, I love that everyone can do it and it is so friendly. We have some very speedy kids at ours too, I am in awe of them and sometimes wonder if I will see any of their names in a future Commonwealth Games or Olympics!
