Anyone else starting a Beachbody workout programme? (T25, insanity etc)

Ok so my Focus T25 box has arrived today! Costs a lot but it has 11 25 minute work outs and some stretchy exercise band things. Idea is that because I have spent a lot I will have to knuckle down and see it through for the next 2 months.

I will probably try it over the weekend and start properly on mon. I am 3 stone overweight so this is going to be a mega challenge! Has anyone else recently started something similar or a new workout dvd and want to help motivate each other?

1000cals per day?!! Eek. That's nothing. Have no answers. I currently eat between 1200 and 1400 per day and that doesn't feel like an enormous amount
Can I just post one other achievement for the day? I went to buy some new jeans as my current ones are a bit baggy now. I am now the proud owner of a pair of size 10 skinnies!! I never thought that would be possible after 2 kids. Am sooo pleased. Thanks Shaun t!

I almost choked when I saw 1000 cals a week in your first post Sarah! Lol

My MFP is set at 1520 cals at the moment, not even sure how and why... But last night I used a formula for calculating TDEE and figured that I need to drop a few cals to carry on with steady weight loss. It is very hard and I do struggle with getting balance right, I either overdo it on fat or don't have enough protein :(

Purple, it's so exciting you are finishing Beta!!! Whats next for you? Can't wait to see progress pics! Great job!!!

Did rip't circuit tonight. Think I love it more than speed 2.0. I love working with weights and found the moves doable (in the main). Funnily enough the move I struggled most with was the 'hip up' which is clearly related to my weak arms yet again! It is SO much easier than TBC Shock cannot wait to do it 3 times in one week!

I nailed speed 2.0 this am and finished beta. Am sad actually but will almost certainly come back to it again at some point. Will do jillian ripped in 30 for a week or so and then the plan is to do insanity max30. Yay I love a new challenge!

Am amazed with the results I got.
I've lost 8.2kg and bmi is down from 28 (eeek!) to 24.8 (still not great really)
Clothes size down from 14 to a comfortable 10
Lost 2in from each thigh and somewhere between 4 and 5 in from my waist but am not totally certain of that as I think my first measurement is a bit suspect.
Photos attached. Am nowhere near as buff as all of you girls who've posted up to now but I think I started from a bigger starting point!!

purple your photos are amazing. Well done! So was this just from 10 weeks of T25? Have you dieted as well?

Your 'before' photo looks very similar to me so I am finding it really inspirational to see where I could get to. Flowers

Purple well done!! You look so slim in that side shot! Look forward to hearing how you get on with max 30 and whether or not ript in 30 is harder or easier now!

I have gained a lb or two this week so not sure about before and afters, maybe I will take some and see if there is any difference first!

Beta upper focus today - I think its one of the easier work outs? Alpha does seem easier overall Confused I wasn't really sweating so maybe I need to work harder and up the weights! But yes, hip ups are quite hard and I cant get my arms to bend for the pulsing version. Sometimes I think my body is the wrong proportions for the exercises! I really enjoyed speed 2.0 too spooky Grin (apart from pf issue of course!)

I am having an unscheduled rest day and doing my double at the weekend as I just CBA. Not the best week for me in terms of my food intake either! Never mind. Still done four days up till now and at one time I would have been chuffed with three! Happy exercising everyone x

I did double workout today - Beta speed 2.0 and upper focus. I can see how some people find upper focus too easy. It was great in conjunction with speed 2.0, just the right balance :)

Wow Purple, just wow! Over 8kg in 10 weeks - your photos look amazing! I'm not surprised you are over the moon with your results. I can't remember if you said you had changed your diet too, or if this is all just Beachbody? What is your goal weight?

I am going to the States tomorrow for work, for 4 days, so will have to somehow keep on top of the workouts whilst I am there.

Sorry I haven't elaborated on the Zone recipes. TBH though I just use those block menus on that link, and the suggested recipes on there. I must admit I have a LOT of salads with 2oz of protein and olive oil dressing, as that is easy to measure out and uses "favourable" carbs... and thus my meal planning isn't that exciting! I very much eat food for fuel though - I have never really liked cooking (lazy in the kitchen) and so I don't spend ages trying to find nice recipes which fit the Zone - I just combine the food blocks together very unimaginatively!

I'm not sure if I have missed any other questions out - this week has been a but shit. I found a lump in my breast on Wednesday, had it checked by GP on Thursday, and then mammogram, ultrasound, MRI and biopsy yesterday. MRI shows 5 lumps in total (but only one big one, which they biopsied)... the Doctor (in broken Italian) told me she thinks the lump has a 70% chance of being malignant, but the biopsy will show us for sure (results due back on Thursday post US trip).

So apologies if I am not around for the next few days - travel to US and medic appointments mean I will probably be a bit preoccupied!

But defo starting Max Insanity 30 on Friday next week - will that be you starting at the same time Purple?

Those doing Max Insanity 30 - how many diff work outs are there? Does anyone have an opinion if it's easier, harder, the same or just different than traditional Insanity?

Did upper focus this morning. Yes it probably is the 'easiest' of all the workouts apart from all of those damn hip ups but it is a different kind of workout. Bit like bodypump which feels so much easier than, say bodyattack or spinning, but it is a different kind of training. I enjoyed it Smile

Alpha TBC and cardio done this morning and pretty much nailed with the odd bit of huffing and puffing Grin. Beta next week. My stats haven't changed apart from Losing half an inch from my waist and upper arm but it's nice to know I can maintain. Happy weekend everyone

Jem - well done for wk one month 2 of Insanity, I am three weeks behind you so watching with particular interest. Could you do all the exercises in month 1 by the end of it?

I have struggled with workouts this wk but this morning my energy returned and I enjoyed cardio circuit. Have been for a bracing swim in a lake too and feeling recharged.

Oh boobz. That's horrible. I hope your work trip helps you not dwell on it too much whilst you wait for the results and I've got my fingers crossed for you.

I fell off the diet/exercise wagon big style today. I went out with friends last night, was hung over today and then ate loads of cake and crap to feel better. And I didn't even exercise. Oh well.
Ideally I'd like to get down to 58kg (i'm 61kg now) but Id like to find a way to make it more lifestyle compatible. I don't want to be 'the boring one on a diet who doesn't eat cake or drink wine' for ever. Has anyone had success having cheat days?
Spooky - I never found the hip ups hard. I'm now thinking I didn't do them right!! Confused
