Not running Xmas day, but going up local hill with boot camp nutters ladies, then local Boxing Day fun run, which sadly also includes a big hill! Next time we move it won't be to a town on the side of a hill!

HalleLouja · 21/12/2014 16:54

Have messaged them as it says no more entries.

Suzannewithaplan · 21/12/2014 17:19

glad you enjoyed your mudbath Thursday I dont think I could cope with that sort of thing, I'd be too afraid of slipping and wrenching something Blush

I am planning on running dec 25th, but then I am a christmas refusenik so it's not quite the same as participating in the festivities and also going for a run!
9.95 from me = 651.42

actiongirl1978 · 21/12/2014 17:53

I wish I could run on Xmas day but with a 4 &6 yr old plus both sets of parents, I won't be allowed out of the kitchen..

But I will be there in mind and spirit, planning 11 miles on Boxing Day though Grin

actiongirl1978 · 21/12/2014 17:59

Oh and Suzanne I made it to the gym, none of the big scary blokes even gave me a second glance as I selected my kettlebells, I finished my programme and I was very pleased with myself indeed!

Suzannewithaplan · 21/12/2014 18:12

well done Actiongirl, I find that once you get over the initial self consciousness its much easier :)
(remember that in all likelihood you're a better runner than all those gym behemoths Wink)

actiongirl1978 · 21/12/2014 18:21

Thanks Suzanne, and I knew you were right, I think it is just the general disbelief that I can identify a weight and do the right thing with it that I am trying to get my head around!

cinnamongreyhound · 21/12/2014 21:35

Well done on your mega run OnTheThursdayOfChristmas!!!

Glad you're feeling better CardiffUniversityNetballTeam Xmas Smile

Thank you everyone, dh has sinusitis but his chest is clear, the tightness is just his asthma not coping with him struggling to get enough air in! He's got antibiotics and decongestants and he's also taking anti-inflammatories to try and help. Hoping he'll be a little clearer tonight as he couldn't breathe at all while laying down last night.

A holiday 6.1 from me, beautiful early morning country run with dd. Really enjoying my first running winter. Planning a Boxing Day run too.

Suzannewithaplan · 23/12/2014 17:30

10.57
new total = 662.52

FestiveChopinLizt · 23/12/2014 17:31

668.6 then with my 6.1 Wine

Suzannewithaplan · 23/12/2014 17:34

my run was in wind and driving rain,
although exhilarating in spite of the weather
possibly because of the weather :o

cinnamongreyhound · 23/12/2014 19:08

4 from me, rained at but at the end but not much. struggled at the start with a very tight bump, eased off and it was fine but tightened up again when I stopped. Not painful at all but will need to keep an eye on it I think!

I've got 6.1 from my run in England (lots of traffic, not enough pavements or quiet roads, I don't know how you guys manage) and around 10 from todays club run and gym session (plus a beer afterwards).
682.62

cinnamongreyhound · 23/12/2014 21:20

668.62+My 4+ Anglaise1's 16.1=688.72 I think?

Lovely day for a run here but no chance - DH working up to the wire (the joys of self-employment Hmm) and there are things to do!
Hopefully the weather will stay until at least Boxing Day when we have a gentle 3.2mile race/run planned.

Realised that I haven't added any miles since early December so I have 22.8 miles to add including 3 club runs, 2 park runs and a Santa run :)
Hopefully that makes 711.5

feetheart · 24/12/2014 09:35

Halle - did you get into the Boxing Day Run?
Also, I have just done the wages (the joys of being self-employed and working for DH's company!) so I've been paid and have entered the Fred Hughes 10 :)

cinnamongreyhound · 24/12/2014 09:40

I don't have anyone to run with Boxing Day but may take the dogs for a slow one as it'll be light so I can hopefully persuade Dh I'll be ok!

I'm working until 2ish as my last child's mum said she'd pick him up after his nap which is usually after lunch. Dh will find out mid morning what time he's allowed to go home. He had yesterday off as we have dss here and no one else was in today, ended up home Monday sick so he'll only do a half day this week Xmas Smile

Feet they didn't get back to me about the run Sad. I did try to contact them. Not sure if its worth risking it. DH was keen to go. Woo hoo to Fred Hughes.

Am not fully well and trying to get myself to run. Am in kit.

feetheart · 24/12/2014 10:47

Halle - just sent you a message.

emummy · 24/12/2014 13:53

2.5miles from me, up the hill with boot camp. Was a climb of about 570 ft, so there was a fair bit of walking going on, especially at the icy bits! Very windy at the top, but we managed burpees, mountain climbers and press ups before running back down.
So 714
