I can't see anything. Maybe its a private group.

Mitchy1nge · 09/11/2014 12:46

try now

garmin is SO frustrating

you should be able to just wander in

would be nice to have more group activity although they have v limited functions we can at least go 'rah! rah!' at one another when we have been for a run!

Mitchy1nge · 09/11/2014 13:15

any luck halle?

HalleLouja · 09/11/2014 13:37

I think it worked and I joined. I can see my runs on there..........

Mitchy1nge · 09/11/2014 14:17

think can see you, have attempted to connect

postmanpatscat · 09/11/2014 17:21

Well done mitchy and congrats emummy

A not-very-impressive 4.5 miles for me, yet again I have gone a whole week without running at all! Have college til 8 tomorrow and governors mtg on Weds so might try and run again on Tuesday if DD remembers to take a key when she goes to rowing club after school. Really need to get back in the groove.

Can't add my miles yet as I can't see the total, it's on the previous page!

postmanpatscat · 09/11/2014 17:21

Was 242.6 so now 247.1 miles.

postmanpatscat · 09/11/2014 17:22

Mitchy, any idea why when I click on your link it comes up in Spanish?!

originalpiratematerial · 09/11/2014 17:45

Hiya all, still rehab-ing here! I did 1.6 miles on the treadmill on Thursday which I don't think I've added here, and 3 miles today Smile. So added to 247.1 that's 251.7.

Mitchy1nge · 09/11/2014 17:47

no

that's weird! Is English for me

Garmin is so strange lately, it insisted that my Thursday run took place 3 days in the future, so, today and even though I edited the date my watch still thinks it was my most recent activity

MirandaWest · 09/11/2014 18:13

Ran 1.9 miles this morning with DP and DS (ended up going up hills in my mum and dad's estate). Think DS got a few stitches due to time breakfast was eaten compared to run. But he kept going and sprinted at the end. We looked on the parkrun results for our local one and saw a friend of his did his first one yesterday in a similar time to DS so maybe they'll both do one at the same time.

iPod nano still being an arse with distance. May try running with my phone another day...

Total 253.6

originalpiratematerial · 09/11/2014 18:18

Anyone else used a sort of walk/run programme to get back to running after an injury (in my case, pain on iliac crest). Last week I did four lots of 2 mins running, 2 mins walking x 5. Today I upped the running intervals to 4 mins. WAs actually quite pleased to do 3 miles thusly in under 35 mins.

Mitchy1nge · 09/11/2014 18:45

I did it for ages, 4 minutes run 1 minute walk

and lots of walking, and some heroic 5000m/10 000m stints on rowing machine for endurance

was fairly seamless transition to normal running, starting with a mile or two once or twice a week until back up to 5 days/25 miles a week

my problem threatened to recur as soon as I went over 30 miles recently but that could be a number of things really

Blatherskite · 09/11/2014 18:46

I need to upload my Garmin to be sure but I should have lots of miles to add from this weekend.

I did an inaugural parkrun on Saturday plus the last 3 laps of my friend's marathon with her which should be about 14 miles and then I went back this morning to do a recovery run and ended up walking another 7 miles with one of the other marathon runners who was struggling. Does it count it I walked? It counted towards her marathon but isn't technically running I guess....

HalleLouja · 09/11/2014 19:00

9.3 miles to add for this weekend. 262.9.

My running club use Fetcheveryone.com so you can put on races but not sure how you put the time on not being the brightest tech person this weekend. Managed to figure out how to put on training runs though.

Blatherskite · 09/11/2014 19:14

I think you can make groups of Fetch to keep track of combined totals. Maybe someone could look into making one to track our mileage?

HalleLouja · 09/11/2014 20:10

We could definitely can set up a group in Fetch.

cinnamongreyhound · 09/11/2014 20:11

Was your 7 miles in stowmarket Mitchy1inge, just seen a friend of mine did it today an unusual distance so guessed it's the same race :)

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 09/11/2014 21:06

(Halle, tis me you are connected with on Garmin - I didn't have time to post to tell you)

Well done Blathers and Mitchy and Miranda and postman.

Hope you continue to recover well pirate

Hello to anyone else I might have missed.

I have told my colleagues that I ned to hog the treadmill this week. I don't think either of them will be fighting me for it Smile.

cinnamongreyhound · 09/11/2014 21:10

I haven't spoken to her but posted on fb that is was very scenic Mitchy1inge, they run at Thetford parkrun and have had their own purple Thetford parkrunners t-shirts made and I think there was 5 or 6 of them in their tops. I didn't know she was doing it until I saw the pics. I've seen stowmarket striders around at races maybe I've actually seen you Grin

I'm the one in the yellow and black vest over 75 layers of kit! our paths will surely cross!

it was great to see so many east anglian running clubs today

cinnamongreyhound · 09/11/2014 21:32

I gather you like to layer up Wink we will have to keep in touch over races! I'm doing one 29th nov (although I said no more already once!) and that will be it until after I've had the baby. I'm only doing this one because I can do it with both dogs :)
