actiongirl yes, I like running with friends & the club, but just as much I enjoy running on my own (or with my border collie Sam) whenever and wherevet I want. Running is just so easy.

Mitchy1nge · 03/12/2014 20:30

god suzanne I'd love to be armed for that sort of occasion, unloaded maybe, but would be v satisfying to ask them to repeat what they just said into the barrel of a machine pistol wouldn't it? my biggest fear is getting run over though, I went to sweatshop today to find a bright yellow showeproof type jacket but they only had men's and the smallest one made me look like a hot air balloon Hmm. I don't want to spend £65+ on a less visible pink or purple jacket.

action I do go on a bit of an eating spree on my days off, the hunger and tiredness wait to catch up with me when I'm less busy I think

anglaise I like to run 5 days a week ideally, even if shorter distances but I think I can prioritise the Long Run and one club night and do less in between, but what suits me mentally seems to be less good for me physically. Life is cruel! Are your half marathon times for trail? That is even more awe inspiring than before!

Mitchy1nge · 03/12/2014 20:46

anyway 64.22 is our new total

cinnamongreyhound · 03/12/2014 21:23

My running buddy had to work last night so we postponed to today and now she's got too much work to do to run tonight :( have managed to get my other running friend who I'm running with fri am to do tomorrow am too. Now need to find someone to go with me after parkrun or sun am to get my 3 runs in! Or perhaps Dh will be ok with me going on my own in daylight?

I don't mind the cold for running but I really hate the dark at the moment. Doesn't take me long to warm up!

I got one of the parkrun fleeces from wiggle for my birthday and it feels pretty warm but super lightweight. Haven't worn it yet for running yet as I haven't been since Saturday!

69.28

Hi anglaise there is talk of a 2016 trip to the Rome Marathon - let us know how it is!!

Mitchy1nge · 03/12/2014 22:09

is weird to think I ran with you on Saturday cinnamon - pity we are not a tiny bit closer because I would love another excuse to run in the forest

cinnamongreyhound · 03/12/2014 22:10

Yeah it's a bit of a trek! That's why I'm surprised the gays are regulars at our parkrun and striders!

OP posts:
Mitchy1nge · 03/12/2014 22:15

heh @ the gays

I noticed he didn't have his striders vest on, am going to report him Grin

cinnamongreyhound · 03/12/2014 22:16

Don't think it was cheaper for club runners, I didn't wear mine Shock did have my rnr top though which says 'Thetford AC eat, sleep, run, repeat' Grin

Mitchy1nge · 03/12/2014 22:17

(obviously there is nothing funny about their name, they are a lovely couple and I'm not 12 years old Blush)

cinnamongreyhound · 03/12/2014 22:18

We always call them the Gays at parkrun but perhaps here it sounds wrong! For all those who don't know they are a mature couple who run with Mitchy1inge's club but come to my parkrun who's surname is Gay :)

Mitchy1nge · 03/12/2014 22:19

oh my god I was right behind you at the start! When all the dogs were barking and I couldn't hear which arrows to follow. Or were there more of you in that top?

thank god I didn't gush 'it's me mitchy Inge' to random at the halfway point then

standingonlego · 04/12/2014 07:20

Arrrooooo....mn Wolefs, I think race entries open today for April WOLF. Anyone want to join me and crockery in a pack on the Saturday?

cinnamongreyhound · 04/12/2014 07:25

I was in with everyone else as my dogs don't bark so didn't need to stand back :) only heard the red, red and blue and red and blue twice at the end when he was really shouting though!

I finally have some December miles to add and I did it in my long sleeves Grin lovely 4 miles with my doggies and friend with her doggy and none got lost! 73.28

OP posts:
Mitchy1nge · 04/12/2014 08:58

you ran 4 miles before 7:30, hardcore Shock

really really want to do WOLF run, scared of registering and not showing up but have made it to two events since then so maybe it is safe now? Confused

CardiffUniversityNetballTeam · 04/12/2014 09:14

Another 3.1 from cold, grey Berkshire this morning. It was supposed to be a long run but I started to get some knee and hamstring pain in my right leg and, quite remarkably, rather than risk an injury, I came home.
I will stick to cycling swimming and yoga for the next few days and try and run again next week.
New total is 76.4

HalleLouja · 04/12/2014 09:40

Mitchy I want to do it too. Though after XC not sure if me and mud get on.

feetheart · 04/12/2014 10:02

Arrroooooooo I'm in lego

Go on, go on, go on Halle and Mitchy :)
I thought it would be pretty hardcore but it wasn't and we all ran together. Great experience :)

cinnamongreyhound · 04/12/2014 10:14

Yeah have to be back by 7.10 for Dh to leave for work so we meet at 6am, half way between mine and my friends houses :)

Mitchy1nge · 04/12/2014 14:16

unplanned 10 miles (took advantage of a car problem, worked well because friend not keen to keep up our Friday long runs and just wants to do 5 or 6 tomorrow) am v pleased with self for running on some of the more frightening (not really dangerous, am a wuss) roads by myself

86.4

standingonlego · 04/12/2014 16:56

I am booking tonight so PM me your vital stats ( feet dni have yours from last time) and I will try to get us a pack reduction. Got RL folks too :)

It will be fun

Anglaise1 · 04/12/2014 17:08

karatekimmi I'll report back on the Rome marathon. I know someone who ran it last year and it was very wet, very flat and difficult at the start as there is only one departure place and with 14,000 runners all at once it is chaotic.
Mitchy My 1H43m was for a road half marathon - trails can take so much longer I took 5 hours for 41kms back in September but there was 900m altitude and it was v technical.
Did 10km with my dog this evening, so
92.5

Mitchy1nge · 04/12/2014 18:14

anglaise that sounds awesome, how tough was it at that altitude? do you regularly run without oxygen? Grin

shall I do wolef or not? I did register and pay last time so you might still have my details lego, don't want to jinx myself, how late could I sign up?

standingonlego · 04/12/2014 18:17

You can sign up quite late but the price goes up. You will just need our pack code to ensure we are in the same "wave". Will PM it when we have it :)

Mitchy1nge · 04/12/2014 18:24

ok brilliant, let's do that. will possibly need to organise overnight stay etc so I won't leave it until the very last minute anyway

is there a thread? I suppose I could go and have a look for it . . .
