New thread for park runners old and new. Who's running at home and away this weekend? Who's volunteering?

I did indeed, that's by far my fastest post injury time. I did a great (tough) hills training session this week, and I'm using my new hands-free leash with the dog, which also helps with speed.

Have a good run, Blathers!

Well done Melanie!
Edith I've just seen on the new parkrun Facebook page that there us a new one at Kilkhampton?
Do you know it?

EdithDickie · 28/09/2014 17:55

Oh really? Kilkhampton isn't that far from me, up towards Bude. Will check it out. Thanks Smile

Shock Shock Shock parkrun is cancelled this weekend for another event in the park. What to do? Tourism or lie-in?

You should come to cornwall Wink

The great thing about parkrun is that you have to decide until you wake up!

cinnamongreyhound · 30/09/2014 21:40

Tourism! Come and see my 50 t-shirt Wink

feetheart · 30/09/2014 21:54

I think St Albans is calling :)

standingonlego · 30/09/2014 22:51

My T-shirt has arrived!!!! Will have to go late to hockey to collect it :)

HalleLouja · 01/10/2014 07:10

Am going to Bournemouth this week.

feet check the SA fb page. I think they are doing fancy dress.

HalleLouja · 01/10/2014 07:11

My ds wants me to do Cake Smile

feetheart · 01/10/2014 09:31

Time to bring out the blue tutu again then :)

I predict DS will be Batman (has t-shirt with added cape that he wears at every opportunity :))

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 01/10/2014 11:31

Ooh choices, choices! feet what is parking like at SA? And do they start dead on 9 am? I will be arriving back from a week-long work trip very late on Friday night and may not be at my best on Saturday morning Grin. Given my record on finding and parking at MK and Northampton I need somewhere easy Smile.

feetheart · 01/10/2014 13:05

Ohone - parking is limited but probably OK if you get there in good time (we were very early last time as I was unsure how long it would take us) We can pick you up at Parkway if you want.
They did seem to start on time :)

HalleLouja · 02/10/2014 11:20

At SA if you get there early you can park at Westminster Lodge car park and walk. The other one should be ok if you get there at 845 ish.

I am doing the Bournemouth one on Saturday. My first bit of tourism.

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 02/10/2014 16:59

That's very kind feet but I fear that will mean me getting up even earlier!

Enjoy your tourism Halle

HalleLouja · 02/10/2014 17:01

Enjoy SA oh. I am going to miss it but looking forwards to some tourism. Trying to get DH to run too as my mum is around to look after the DCs.

standingonlego · 02/10/2014 20:59

50 T shirt arrival was a false alarm Sad, Mine is apparently on the "out of stock" list SadSad. Our RD got carried away and did not read all the labels.

Halle I have done bournemouth as a tourist, very friendly and good cake/bacon rolls in the pavilion afterwards so remember to take some cash :) Hope you can persuade DH to join you.

MelanieCheeks · 03/10/2014 13:47

No sign of my red Tshirt either. But I'm making my dog a red cape with "50" on it so we can have matching attire when it does arrive Grin

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 03/10/2014 17:11

I am not going anywhere tomorrow Sad. My flight home is delayed by at least 2 hours, and I've just had a reminder from the bank that we have a meeting at 11:00 tomorrow, which would have been do-able if I was running at home, but not if I have to get back from anywhere further afield.

OP posts:
cinnamongreyhound · 03/10/2014 17:38

Rubbish OhOneOhTwoOhThree, hope you're not delayed too long :(

feetheart · 04/10/2014 07:01

Boo to that Ohone - hope you didn't get home too late and managed a decent lie-in?

Batman predictions for DS were premature (failure to find cloak) so it's Superman now (using 2nd string red cloak :))

MelanieCheeks · 04/10/2014 08:15

Lovely piece on BBC breakfast this morning!

Happy 10th Birthday, parkrun Wine

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 04/10/2014 09:08

Good morning parkrunners!

Melanie I am loving the idea of your dog in a 50 cape Smile

feet hope St albans and fancy dress are fun today Smile

I am home and have lots of sleep to catch up on. Despite that I still woke up at parkrun o'clock!

OP posts:
feetheart · 04/10/2014 10:37

Woohoo - PB for DS and I today (possibly by over a minute for DS :)). Waiting impatiently for official times now!

ThursdayLast · 04/10/2014 10:40

melanie I too love the idea of your dog in a cape! Please please please don't let that happen without showing us a picture! Sounds like there's been a lot of cape action this morning with minifeet at it too Smile

I had a lovely parkrun, running with an old colleague I haven't seen since I went on mat leave. I didn't know she runs. Hope I wasn't holding her back!

Major GPS fail do will have to wait for my email.
