MelanieCheeks · 22/11/2014 13:36

Valley parkrun

Oh Thursday, well done on getting so close, but it's gutting to miss it by such a small amount!

feetheart · 22/11/2014 15:18

Ohone - we were talking about those boys today.
DS's 10 t-shirt ordered (yay - added by mini-feet who is looking over my shoulder and adding comments!) Onwards to 50 now :)

feetheart · 22/11/2014 15:22

AND...we have a verbal OK for a Luton parkrun :o :o :o:o:o :):):):) (mini-feet let loose on the emoticons Hmm)

cinnamongreyhound · 22/11/2014 16:09

So near ThursdayLast!!!

Yay feetheart!

29:50 for me today with little dog and then dash off to birthday party. Dh actually had my boys dressed and fed by 9.45 and said he'd had a hectic morning Shock

feetheart · 22/11/2014 17:53

So close Thursday, most frustrating.

Melanie - looking at NI parkrun for Easter I think. Won't get home before then. May have to hire a car though as the parents live MILES from anywhere and there is no way they will drive us that early on a Saturday. Think Comber is the closest but if we have a car I am up for recommendations :)

Cinnamon - methinks it's time he did a school run :o

ThursdayLast · 22/11/2014 19:33

Even the RD mentioned it in an email!
I'm consoling myself by getting DP to buy me a fancy pants wristband for xmas Grin

karatekimmi · 23/11/2014 12:55

So annoying thursday

It was a last minute decision, but we all went in the end. DH got a sub 25 PB so he was happy, and I got 33.32 with the mini kimmi!!

cinnamongreyhound · 25/11/2014 14:08

Going to miss parkrun this week as I have a race.

What are all your home parkruns doing for festive parkruns?

ThursdayLast · 25/11/2014 14:57

I'm not sure if Lanhydrock is doing anything - but I'm going to be volunteering on the 20ty Dec, so I shall be dressing up,maven if I'm on my own!

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 25/11/2014 20:05

Not sure yet although St Albans are doing a joint one with Panshanger on New Years Day. We want to do them both (9am and 10.30am starts) but it depends when we get to bed I think :)

Need to pinch any good ideas for next year :o

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 26/11/2014 20:42

I managed Huntingdon last year on NYD. They do a double with Peterborough, but I didn't want to disappear for the whole morning on my own. I might do this year though Smile

feetheart · 26/11/2014 22:44

Not sure if you have seen this list Ohone. It doesn't actually show who is doubling up with who though I know Aylesbury and Tring are and Panshanger and St Albans.
Anyone know of any others?

Need to check if the cafe at St Albans will be open as that will be a big lure if it is :)

Mayvis · 27/11/2014 20:50

Gatecrash...

Great Notley and Chelmsford Central are doing the double on NYD. Notley first at 9am.

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 27/11/2014 21:19

Thank you feet

Hello Mayvis - do stick around Smile

littleomar · 28/11/2014 11:56

Oh hello I haven't seen this thread before. I will be running Riddlesdown for the 6th time tomorrow. What's the protocol for running/volunteering (if there is one)? Think I must be due to sit the next one out in a high vis vest.

feetheart · 28/11/2014 12:00

Hello littleomar - there should be a bit on your parkrun's website about volunteering or just accost someone in a high viz jacket tomorrow and ask. They will be delighted and you get to shout encouraging things at people for an hour on a Saturday morning :o

Blatherskite · 28/11/2014 20:56

Ooh OhOne, we're going to do the Peterborough/Huntingdon double this year I think :)

cinnamongreyhound · 28/11/2014 20:59

littleomar we usually mention it in pre run briefing and out scanner has a clipboard to write future volunteers down. You can also email the team or post on our fb page, so all worth a try! We love runners who volunteer :)

HalleLouja · 29/11/2014 08:42
