New thread for park runners old and new. Who's running at home and away this weekend? Who's volunteering?

Sounds like everyone had some lovely runs this morning.

I was dead on 30mins and had a lady I know only from parkrun touch my 'bump' this morning! We had so much fun, a vampire rd, grim reaper round a corner, lots of fancy dress, decorations and chocolate at the end!!!!! So many pics on our fb page too :)

Despite me having my nice key fob type bar code I didn't seem to register my results. Have messaged them on fb. Not sure if that's the best way to contact them. It was a lovely event. Just need to get my mojo back.

There will be cake for added mojo next week HalleLouja :)

And the lake is back too. Woohoo.

I will travel great distances for exercise when cake is also involved.

I managed to be RD and run this weekend as we had a local running club do a volunteer take over and so I only needed to be there to make sure it was sut up properly and do the results. Means I've now done 89 parkruns! That black tshirt is getting closer and closer...

Is anyone going to Daventry for the inaugural next weekend?

Costume turnout was a bit disappointing at ours to be honest

I tried though and freaked out our ED by standing next to him dressed as a zombie

He's lucky he hadn't seen me the night before when we did the club halloween run as I had toned down my make up a lot from then! OhOne will have seen the pictures

I have had an email to say my 50 t shirt is still out of stock and they can't tell when it will be in stock. I'm on 61, and have missed a couple/volunteered, so it is at least 3 months since my 50th. Never mind, I will prize it all the more when it arrives

And as for the hot dogs I was glad I only saw them on my phone

Life keeps getting in the way a bit at the moment. Will try to be around more now all those half marathons are over and training can back off a bit.

I should probably change my profile picture back now if it's that scary! The hot dogs were disturbingly realistic. Kids didn't seem bothered though

Our rd for the day dressed as a vampiress and got her oh to be the grim reaper, frightened a few people appearing from behind trees and bushes! She also made little nets with heros inside and we put pumpkins around the course, an inflatable skeleton and some pitch forks on the finish funnel

Sorry to hear about 50 t-shirts, I haven't had any sent for ages. We have one person on 76 which isn't bad considering our parkrun is only on 86!

We got a new bag full this week but I haven't had a look as to what's in there yet. It seems to be mainly men's and kids ones recently though. Fingers crossed they get the situation with the ladies shirts sorted soon.

Well, if I don't volunteer again between now and then and manage to do a double on new years day, I should run my 100th parkrun on the 17th January.

At which point, I will be in trouble with a LOT of people as I will be in Copenhagen doing parkrun there!

So I will have to volunteer one more time so that I can be at "home" when I earn my t-shirt. Pencil that MK trip in for the 24th

I'm planning my 59th for the first Saturday in the new year!! If I do one on Christmas day (not my nearest but doable) then New Years day would be my 50th but I don't think realistically I can do it) I don't think I can double on new years day, but I'm keeping an eye out!!

It does mean two Saturdays of double races, but as I'm trying to up my distance it's not so bad!

And whereabouts are you kimmi? Do you want a posse of MN park runners to descend on you? These milestones have to be celebrated you know :)
If not we can do it virtually and provide our own .

I had a lousy run this week - just about managed to sneak in under 30 mins, and was 5th in my age category! I blame lack of dog, and too much wine the night before, plus you English with your early 9 o'clock starts

But Crane Park was very pretty, and it is quite literally round the corner from my best friend, so maybe I'll get to do it again some day.

I'm quite happy for a meet up but I'm over in Telford which seems to be quite a way away from most of you!!

Mind you, now blathers has got some of us me!! hooked on tourism it'll be another parkrun!!

Hmmm, that's a little far for a Saturday morning, but we will be there in spirit and with cake
