I'm having a rest day. I'll do my final day of the shred over the weekend.

I had a rest day yesterday - forgot to set the alarm and didn't get up in time to do my workout. RI30 L3 D9 done today. I'm hoping to finish RI30 by the end of August but I'm away on and off so it may not happen.

Congratulations, Tango! Fantastic results. (And congratulations Oubliette in anticipation.)

Right I'm back on it. I've just done 30DSL3D8. I need to do 12 days at this level as I moved up to level 3 after only 8 days at level 2. I've had two weeks off due to family stress, general low feelings and I realised I was starting to obsess about my body and how fat I felt rather than how big I actually was. So I took a week to just eat whatever and not focus on workouts, just took the DCs on lots of days out. Then I was on holiday for a week. Was lovely and had great time, felt much better about myself and actually wore swimwear on the beach all day every day which is a first for me.

So we got back yesterday, I've spent this morning getting the house back to normal and the did the shred. I struggled ever so slightly with the strength moves, I'm guessing I've lost a bit of muscle but other than that was ok. So 4 more days to go which will take me to midweek and then I plan on either doing ripped or getting heavier weights and going back to the beginning.

Yesterday ended up being a rest day too. However, this morning I got up, put my kit on, and did 30DS L3D10. So.... I have now completed the 30 day shred.

RI30 L3 D10 done (planned rest day yesterday). On to L4 tomorrow. Groan.

Pleased to see you back, Shadows, and even more pleased to see that you're feeling in a better place.

Welcome back shadows - glad your break has done you some good and you're back on the shred thread!

Well done oubliette - feels good, doesn't it!?

Thanks all for your congratulations, and I'm back on it!! Went to a festival, had 4 days of beer and bacon and no shredding and I've just done 30DSL1D1. Was harder than I was expecting, but I suppose I'm doing a bit more than I was when I started out. 2kg weights and mostly Natalie. Going to try and have fewer rest days this time and hopefully be back in my pre-DS clothes by the end of this second round.

Like Tango I have decided to repeat the shred before moving on to something different. (I'm going on holiday on Sunday, and I have exams at the end of September, so thought I'd better stick to what I know).

I did 30DS L1D1 this evening - managed to flow Natalie for everything except the second set of press-ups.

DD (10) decided to join in - she didn't even make it through circuit one ('how do you keep going mummy?'). Apparently the shred is harder than it looks...

RI30 L4 D1. Ow. Too many planks, too many push-ups. I've been doing sodding push-ups in various forms five times a week since late May when I started the Shred, and I still can't do them properly.

30DSL3D9. Did it on an empty and very hungry stomach which was v tough but I left it too late yesterday and stuff got in the way.

30DS L1D2 - done. Really appreciating the cooler weather - not as hot and sweaty at the moment.

RI30 L4 D2. Groan. Pulled a muscle in my calf doing scissor jumps - they take more coordination than I've got or am likely to have! I think I'm going to go back to the start of the Shred with heavier weights when I finish, but I've also ordered her Killer Abs DVD in the hope of shifting the wodge of podge on my midriff.

Welcome back Shadows!

After 3 rest days, did 30DSL3D3 today. Strained back again last time (hence the rest days) so taking it a bit easier!

'ello fellow Shreddites, might I join in?

I started 30DS on 21st July, complete level 1 but then went to a festival and had 5 days off Sad . I then did 3 more days at level one and started level 2 on Monday just gone...completed L2 W3 this morning.

Level 2 is horrendous! I'm struggling with the planking shit. I can do about 15 seconds of the plank twists before I keel and do the leg and ab crunch instead cause I'm shit Grin

not seeing results yet but that might be due to my period causing bloating!

I get married on 6th September...The day after I finish the 30 days! need to look half decent.

Anyhoo, thought I'd say hi and seek comfort in anyone else moaning Grin

30DS L1D3. Really feeling it in my legs now I'm following Natalie rather than Anita!

Ugh, let DD stay up late to watch ice age 3 and am only now having my dinner, having finally cleared up and fed pets etc. so shred won't be happening tonight.

Back on Shred after a whole week off, which was unintended. Feeling very stiff and very lazy! Surprisingly it was fine, so 30DSL3D7 done!

Away again on Saturday and this time definitely will NOT be able to take my stuff and shred whilst away. So I have two more sessions, then will have to finish off after hols. I have GOT to get this finished before the end of August!

30DSL2D4 done...feeling less sore, still struggling with the plank twists, squat and v raises, and jumping abdominal twists. However, I've definitely improved since day 1.

I do mine at 5:30am, but having a rest day tomorrow as I'm having the coil out this afternoon and not sure how sore I'll be. Will do my 5th day at level 2 on Saturday!

Have fallen a day behind you oubliette on our second round as I skipped a day yesterday already , I don't even have a decent excuse. 30DSL1D3 done.

I'm managing all of it but I still find the first cardio v v v tough (jumping jacks and jump ropes). I also get cramp doing the static lunges, I guess because I've actually got muscles to do work now!

Out all day tomorrow and sat, going to need an early start to cram it in, will take inspiration from you deftones.

Don't worry Tango - I go on holiday on Sunday, so I'm sure you'll overtake me before long.

30DS L1D4 completed.

I find jumping jacks followed by jump rope really tough too (the first time around I swapped butt kicks into circuit 1 and jump rope into circuit 2, which was much better). Also have similar issues regarding cramping muscles on the lunges. Bicycle crunches seem less evil this time around though.

30DSL3D10. I may concede defeat and say I've finished the shred. I know I haven't done the full 30 days, I'm 4 off that I think, but I've lost my umph and just feel very "oh noooo" at the thought of doing another 4 days of level 3. I think I'm going to try out either No More Trouble Zones or Burn Fat Boost Metabolism as I bought a collection of JM DVDs and they are the next two in the collection. Think I need something new to re inspire me. I've had a good inch loss everywhere, which is so alien as my weight is actually up slightly. I'm trying not to look at the number on the scale and panic but it's hard! So yes, 2.5 inches off arms, 3 off waist, 4 off stomach (a lot of that was diastasis related though), and 4.5 inches off my legs! My thighs have never been this toned, even as a teenager!

I want to keep going though and hopefully get this layer of fat off everywhere. I think if I could get .5 worth of a stone off I'd look far more toned, it's just all hidden ATM. I think I just need to accept that the weight coming off is going to be slow and steady.

30DSL3D8 done. Arms and shoulders are exhausted.

Have swapped the cardio jumps on circuit 3 for the cardio workout on circuit 2, as my sacroiliac joint is sore and osteopath has said to avoid high impact moves.

Shadows, that's brilliant . Well done.

RI30 L4D3 done. I had another unscheduled rest day yesterday as I was just too tired to get out of bed, but if I do a workout tomorrow before going away that'll be five this week, which is OK. I'm not taking JM with me but might take my Darcey Bussell Pilates DVD, which doesn't need any equipment.

Wow Shadows - your results are amazing! I dont blame you for not wanting to do any more than 10 days of level 3. In your position I'd probably deem that I'd completed the shred too and move on. After all, it isn't as if you are stopping - just changing to a new set of exercises (no different to moving up to the next level because you feel ready in my mind).

If for some reason you feel you need to get to 30 days, then why not do a couple of days at level 1 and a couple at level 2?

30DS L1D5 completed. Will probably only manage one more session before I head off on holiday. Haven't decided whether or not to take my sports kit with me yet. (Definitely won't be taking my weights).

Hello - hope it's OK to join.
I am about to do my first day of Level 1: have been inspired by the threads on Mumsnet!
My DS is 5 months old and I was still clinging on to the idea that I'd lose the baby weight I gained by 6 months. I am still a stone and a half heavier than I should be: 5'3 and 10st 8. Oops....

So, here I go! My goal is to lose that stone and a half by the time I go back to work in February 2015 and I'm hoping JM will help me kickstart this.
