Okay, it's not just 30 Day Shred anymore but if you would like to log your daily JM fix and get some tips and tricks from fellow Shredders, step this way.

I think after 3 goes at L2 I stopped actually dying and moved onto just feeling like I might :o

Tangoandcreditcards · 14/07/2014 13:16

shadows I honestly preferred labour! (my experience may not have been typical).

Sneaky JM, she ALWAYS knows when I'm flagging and slips in some inspirational nugget! That's why we're all here!

Glad to know it takes a few days for others with L2, I'm so blooming malcoordinated! It requires more thought than L1 doesn't it? I just can't engage brain at the same time as abs and biceps!

tabulahrasa · 14/07/2014 14:08

My entire body hurts, so no shred today either...though I'm fairly pleased with my decorated living room :D

ShadowsShadowsEverywhere · 14/07/2014 19:05

Ooh exciting Tabulah! Did you do it over the weekend? When ex left I went out and bought paint and decorated the kitchen in one night, was great, I really love painting walls. It's quite calming I find.

We are not long back from epic walk. Bussed it into the next town, did our shopping and then walked back. 5/6 miles. I've not sat down yet so I don't feel tired, just need to get kids in bed and try and convince myself to do 6w6p and then I shall collapse with the box set that arrived today! Then it's out early in the morning as DS has jabs. He's going to hate me.

OublietteBravo · 14/07/2014 21:41

30DS L2D4 - I think it is getting easier.

Bimblepops · 14/07/2014 21:50

I always take a mini-pack of smarties or some kind of small chocolate bar with me when I take the kids for their jabs. (3. & 5). They soon hush when they see the treat!

30DSL2D8 done (day 13 in total). Very proud of myself for doing it today - was flopped on my bed after putting kids to bed and nearly copped out (it's been a long day in London with the kids). But I forced myself downstairs and did it. Really glad I did, as it felt easier than on Saturday.

Two more days and then it's onto L3 - which I MUCH prefer to L2!

OwlCapone · 14/07/2014 21:50

30DS L2D no idea what day, I've lost count! 10 maybe?

Knackered - the end of the day is not the time to be doing this!

Bimblepops · 14/07/2014 21:58

But Owl, now we get to shower and collapse into bed - which is bliss!

Bimblepops · 14/07/2014 21:59

Not together, obviously!

jocastafantastica · 14/07/2014 22:03

30dsl2 day 7, after a whole week off was not as tough as I expected, I was doing so well and felt great in the dress that motivated me in the first place at a wedding, so I decided to congratulate myself by falling completely off the wagon bingeing and slobbing for 7 whole days, oh but they were good days!. It took a right kick up the backside this morning to get back at it but I enjoyed the benefits of it so much so far I really want to keep it up.
Getting a bit bored with level 2 though, can still only manage Anita style planks, I will give it two more days then move on I think.
Well done everybody reading your posts at 6am was the kickstart I needed :)

OwlCapone · 14/07/2014 22:07

LOLOLOL... No, not together :)

yadahyadah · 15/07/2014 08:43

BR phase 1 week 3 workout 3 done. Ah yes now we are getting in the zone. Lambzig are you here yet? I got nike long length resistance cords from barrington sports - cheapest i could find. Have a good day, all

ImogenQuy · 15/07/2014 08:48

RI30 L2D6 done. I am never going to be able to do those crow push-ups. Or probably squat thrusts either. Everything else is beginning to feel a bit easier, though the cardio circuit consisting entirely of plank jacks and mountain climbers is evil personified.

jocasta, I really need a few days just lying about! Conference last week was hell on roller skates, I'm astonished I managed to exercise while I was there. Sadly back at work this week and next before I can get a break.

macnab · 15/07/2014 09:00

Hi everyone. So I took a rest day on Sunday, and my brain obviously thought that meant a rest from everything so I launched into a gorge-fest that makes me Blush when I think of it! Even had chinese takeaway on Sunday night! I wouldn't mind, but I'd taken some measurements on Sunday morning - I've lost 3 inches off my waist, 1.5 off each thigh and 1 off each arm (didn't take measurements for my ass, wish I had!!) but then I went and undid all that hard work in on day! WHY????

Anyway, back on the wagon now - 11 days to my holiday Smile

Yesterday evening I did Level 2 Day 6. Today my right shin really hurts, hope I've not injured myself. There will be no more rest days for me from hereon in.

tabulahrasa · 15/07/2014 11:32

30DSL1D9

Shadows...yep, painted and wallpapered one wall, washed the couch seat cushions, swapped over the other couch cushions and put down a new rug. I hate doing it, but it really needed done and it looks nice. :)

macnab - no way can you have undone it all in one day, lol.

DontBeBlueBeARainbow · 15/07/2014 12:51

Arghhhhhhh, from your comments, sounds like I should not be looking forward to tomorrow - the start of LEVEL 2!

I actually had a watch through after I finished today's L1 D10, it does look hardcore, a lot of plank type exercises, I'd better clear my day Grin

First compliment from DP yesterday, he said my bum looks better Blush very promising, he he. Looking forward to D30 when I will do measurements once again and see! Scales not showing anything as of yet.

Can I ask, you long-term shredders, what do you do when 30 days is over? Pick another JM DVD, or go back to regular running routine or something else? Thanks.

ShadowsShadowsEverywhere · 15/07/2014 13:51

I want this to be a permanent change DontBe so I've got a selection of her other DVDs lined up and will be doing one 20/30 min routine from one of her DVDs every day until I die (may be slight exaggeration but you get the gist). I think they are so effective for twenty mins exercise compared to going for a run etc. I'm naively chosing to believe that if I can keep this up for say 3 years I will look better than I did pre DC.

It's all about the time v health benefits for me and being a lone parent makes going to the gym or going for runs a bit more difficult.

ShadowsShadowsEverywhere · 15/07/2014 13:55

I do feel a bit addicted actually. Does anyone else feel like that? I'm looking forward to working out and stuff, it's very alien, I was the kid who used to fake notes to get out of pe!

ShadowsShadowsEverywhere · 15/07/2014 13:56

Ooh Tabulah just spotted your post. Exciting! I keep rearranging the living room. Partly due to DCs who climb but also because I love it when it's all new still. It sort of surprises you every time you walk in.

OwlCapone · 15/07/2014 14:56

I can't see myself ever loving this. I do it because it has improved my fitness and toned up assorted flabby bits but I could easily give up - I have to force myself to do it every day. Which is why the fact that it is only 20 minutes is absolutely brilliant. I also wouldn't be able to commit to going to a gym each day to do the equivalent exercise due to lone parenthood and general laziness. This is here as soon as I can force myself to do it, no need to faff about getting to a gym.

I think that once I've done the full thing, I might mix it with running, simply because I can walk the dog at the same time. It is a goal of mine to be able to run 5k at some point.

yadahyadah · 15/07/2014 20:27

Dontbeblue - I went from Shred to Ripped in 30 and have now started on the body revolution largely because it is a 90 day workout program. Initially I thought I would do it until the hols began and then switch to the longer banish fat boost metabolism but actually I am enjoying the workouts enough to see it through. After shred and ripped I find the idea of not exercising every day a bit yuk. It makes me feel I am nourishing my self - you know the one who is forgotten in the demand ridden day of mothering, working etc. Definitely something I intend to keep up. This forum has been great for giving me the space to workout everything from when to fit it in, to how to improve my eating etc - just stuff that would otherwise roll around in my head and probably never get actually put into action. So thanks everyone, for continuing to put in your highly prized tuppence worths.

30DSL2D9 done, another evening session for me. Day 14 in total.
Hamstrings very tight this evening.

Only 2 days til my holiday...will be taking Jillian (and a mat and my trainers) with me! Don't want to completely undo all of my good work and have to start at the beginning again when I get back.

ShadowsShadowsEverywhere · 15/07/2014 23:55

30DSL2D8 and 6w6pL1 done.

ShadowsShadowsEverywhere · 15/07/2014 23:59

Bahahaha! In my v tired state thought i should check tummy muscle gap hadn't started to return. Did the exercise to check and flew into a panic, omg I could get FOUR fingers in the gap, shit, fuck what have I done!
Sit up, look at where my fingers are ... Ah yes, that's my belly button! Grin

Chococroc · 16/07/2014 07:10

Ended up having a rest day yesterday, had a few niggles and twinges in my knees, ankles etc so thought it would a good move.
Back on it this morning though, so 30DS L2 D9 completed! Day 10 tomorrow then onto level 3....
