Thanks Smile Yesterday breakfast was 2 eggs on a plate of salad with olive oil and black pepper…was yummy! Ran 3 miles this morning followed by day 2 RI30…had a protein shake for breakfast as had taken kids swimming and thats the best I could do.

This is where I go wrong…I can eat healthily all day. Last night I can 3 glasses of cider! And about an hour ago I was given a small ice-cream at parents in law so took it (tired to say no!) This is where I'm going wrong!!! But if I keep up the exercise will these bits make that much difference?

Thanks!

Jacksterbear · 06/07/2014 20:22

run, if you're not already I recommend logging everything you eat and drink on My Fitness Pal - then it makes it much easier to work out what you can "afford" in terms of treats etc without gaining weight / while still losing weight (whichever you are trying to do).

Shaun T workouts done yesterday and today.

IdkickJilliansAss · 06/07/2014 21:37

I couldn't agree with Jackster more, MFP is the way to go Smile

OP posts:
Runmamarun · 06/07/2014 23:48

Thanks both I have tried mfp (not for long) in the past so will give it another go!

Jacksterbear · 07/07/2014 13:09

Shred L2 done today. Can't manage more than 2kgs on the final strength circuit! Need to work my way up to it (will start with just the first military press bit with 3s and go from there!).

IdkickJilliansAss · 07/07/2014 15:05

NMTZ done. I still use 2kg for the majority of the shoulder section, it used to be all though so a tiny improvement Grin

Hi all! Busy weekend with parents up and then they looked after dd so DH and I sneaked off overnight last night. Managed L2 6w6p on Friday- had forgotten how tough it is! Did 45 mins on cross trainer on Saturday and then went to hotel gym yesterday and today- was a good gym! Did 30 minutes of cardio followed by 20 minutes of weights/circuit stuff each day. Rest day tomorrow and possibly a really horrible Bob thing onwednesday .....

IdkickJilliansAss · 07/07/2014 20:41

Sounds nice, Notyummy a well deserved getaway Smile

Hello all. Still here in mind if not in body and taking inspiration from you lot.

30DSL2 tonight. Only 2kg weights. I've been enjoying a bit of swimming. If I win the lottery I shall buy a house with a pool.

IdkickJilliansAss · 08/07/2014 11:15

Nice to see you Daddy how far along are you now?

IdkickJilliansAss · 08/07/2014 16:42

Extreme shred and shed L2 done, made a change as only did it once moons ago when I first started out and hated it as found it way too hard and I'm now fit enough to do it properly! yay Smile

My circuit class got cancelled due to rain so me and a friend tried Zumba for the first time it was fun and then we madly decided to stay for the insanity class after Zumba so I think tomorrow will be a day off

Jacksterbear · 09/07/2014 17:29

Zumba + Insanity sounds scary but awesome idkick!

NMTZ done today, first time in ages and first time using 3kgs (but had to go down to 2kgs for circuits 1&4). Enjoyed it!

Exercise is keeping me sane at the moment - having a v hard time with DS (who has ASD amongst other difficulties and lots of anxiety problems Sad [knackeredface]).

IdkickJilliansAss · 09/07/2014 17:45

It was crazy but so fun, couldn't make a habit of it though!

Circuit1 NMTZ is the worst! Sorry to hear about your DS Jackster How old is he?

OP posts:
Jacksterbear · 09/07/2014 17:48

Thanks idkick; he is 7, and lovely but exhausting!

oohdaddypig · 09/07/2014 19:25

Thanks idkick only 17 weeks and still sick but managing exercise. What is insanity like?!

jackster NMTZ is tough - even dropping to 2kg for some. It feels long to me. Sorry you are having a hard time. Exercise keeps me (relatively) sane too....

Aiming for JM yoga tonight as looong day at work.

IdkickJilliansAss · 09/07/2014 20:22

I've got a nearly 7 year old DD, no ASD but she worries a lot about stuff I never even thought about so I imagine it must be hard for you Thanks

Wow Daddy you're impressive, do you feel sick during the exercise? Insanity was relentless, I thought we were well in to it when the instructor said now that's the warm up over!!

OP posts:
notyummy · 09/07/2014 20:29

Hope the exercise gives you some much needed endorphins Jackster- that sounds tough.

Idkick- I did Insanity about 18 months ago (the whole programme) and unfortunately I credit it (in part) for me needing back surgery last year :-( Having said that I think I was possibly prone to these things (tall, which is apparently a risk factor.)

oohdaddy- NMTZ is tough and I always find the first circuit the hardest!

Managed Bobs Cardio Rev today which was 'fun'....
I would have liked to do his yoga tomorrow but have been invited to school awards evening because dd is nominated so realistically won't have time. Obviously keen as I am exercise wise the awards thing is more important! Will try and do something Friday- maybe NMTZ.

IdkickJilliansAss · 09/07/2014 20:46

Lucky i'm a short arse then ;) I did read that it can give people who arent already fit a risk of having a stroke Shock it'd wouldn't have been as bad if it wasn't straight off the back of Zumba but it was a fun one off replacement for circuits

EarSlaps · 09/07/2014 22:00

Kettlebell class last night, really went for it on the weights. Surprisingly not aching today so just did 6w6p L2.

I've heard insanity can cause people injuries but then I guess any intensive exercise can cause problems for some people. It's really important to listen to your body but then some injuries happen so quickly.

IdkickJilliansAss · 09/07/2014 22:13

I think you're right Earslaps jumping into kettlebells with Jillian really put my back out but I was fine with insanity, I get on well with crazy cardio though and i'm not so good with heavy weights and long levers

OP posts:
oohdaddypig · 09/07/2014 23:34

Mmm - mixed thoughts on insanity then. (Not that I would try it right now...) everyone but me has back problems in my family so I'm quite wary of back injuries (I think they only reason my back is ok is yoga). JM hasn't hurt my back though....

Kettlebells definitely make my lower back ache if I overdo it i'dkick so I dunno how I would be with insanity.

For some reason exercise liftsy nausea and I sleep better so it does help. Can't believe how breathless I am though - I normally walk up 4 flights of stairs at work no problem but now at the top, I am panting like a smoker! I'm guessing it is hormones....

earslaps impressive two days! Hope pain stays away although I quite like the post exercise feel Hmm

EarSlaps · 10/07/2014 07:12

I like a mild post exercise ache too- I'm always disappointed if there's no ache at all Smile. I'm a little sore today but ok. My hamstrings are very tight so I'm trying a bit of yoga stretching (ouch) and a foam roller to get the knots out.

Don't think I'd do insanity, I'm not good with crazy cardio! I prefer to go for heavy weights. I was doing squats with two 12kg weights on Tuesday. Then presses with two 10kgs- I never would have believed I could do that.
