April 30 day shred anyone?

I hope there isn't already a thread, had a look & could only find the March one. I have it on good authority that Tesco have the DVD for a fiver - I'm off to spend some club card points so that I have no excuse to not get cracking tomorrow!

I've also taken a 'before' photo (eek!) so that I can marvel at my transformation at the end of it if the shred doesn't kill me first

L1 30DS done L2D1 tomorrow

Did a sneaky measure and seem to have list no weight but 5 cm off my waist Shock am amazed as also an inch off my hips

Result!

well done hinky - inches off for same weight suggests trading fat for muscle which is excellent!

Really!? Well that is good. Very glad I measured at the start as I'd be totally disheartened as the weight stayed the same. Am still in disbelief that I've lost 2 inches from my waist but seems to be right.

L2D1 today and urgh so much arm and shoulder stuff in this one was grunting by the end but made it through. Got to take it to mil's with me for 5 or so days so should get most if level 2 done while I'm there.

L2 D3 shred done. I did Fri, Sun and today and it's not getting any easier. I think this is about where I wussed out when I did it before.

Mmack I think most people find level 2 veeery tricky 9I certainly did!) In fact I decided not to stay on it for the whole 10 days, I think I did about 6 and then went to level 3, then revisited the other two levels at then end. It was great to see how easy I found some of the moves.

Level 2 of Ri30. Like it, but after having 4 days off I think I'm going to ache tomorrow. Still can't believe that I missed exercising - a new concept to me!

I only did 7 days level 1 so am determined to do the full 10 of level 2. I think I am partly finding level 2 harder as I have an audience of Easter holidaying dcs giving advice and making observations. I think I will send them all to tidy their rooms tomorrow when I am shredding.

30ds l3 day 2 completed! Have done it intermittently but am counting from today. Those mountain climbs get me every time. Am proud today that I could do the double butt kicks at the end. DH does it with me and drips with sweat, thinks it is a brilliant workout

KB&T L2D4 done.
Not going to be able to fit in any tomorrow, won a competition and have to travel 4 hours on the train to meet an entrepreneur guy then 4 hours home. Will be out 7am til 8pm and have a feeling I will be worn out.

Well it took me 4 days to get to it but 30DS L1D2 done. It all felt better except the lat raise-side lunges, I can't do all the lat raises with my hand weights (3lbs each) but I do as many as I can with weights then finish without. Hopefully by the end of level 1 I'll be able to do them all. I should be able to fit it in again tomorrow though I might give the yoga one a try instead. Going to catch up on thread now.

Ripped today with a little bit of NMTZ. It is so fast I only got through the first section before collapsing! Such a big jump up in pace Confused.

Cheese, most of us find that we need smaller weights for the anterior raises than for other moves. But your approach of doing what you can with the weights and then carrying on without is good too - you may improve faster that way.

Thanks Errol I've started having a look for some smaller weights but may just keep on as I am.

GandT was that NMTZ that was fast? I have that one but haven't tried it yet.

I don't think it'd be worth getting smaller weights than your 3lb-ers TBH - if you want something less than that until you're stronger you could use filled water bottles and save your money for when you want some bigger ones for the bicep curls and chest flies etc Wink

Bloody Easter holidays have caused me to fall off the newly jped upon wagon Sad. I only got as far as L1D7.

From what you've commented, is it worth starting again once the kids are back at school and we have no house guests/are not away?

Just thinking that if L2 is a killer then I would effectively be going in after a week off then 3days of L1...

Cheese, if you've got some bigger weights you might want to see if you can go up a size for the bicep curls and chest flies

BadRoly - do your 3 days at L1 and see how you feel. maybe stick with it for the first week back?
