L1D6 done. can't believe I have made it to the end of the week. my past exercise dvds barely made it out of the packet!!
im at a house warming party tonight ao weighed in today and ive lost 3lb. didn't do any measurements before I started but I'll do some later as I know you tend to loose inches rather than weight with this.
I do really need to loose a stone though .... well 11lbs now Grin

StuntNun · 08/03/2014 10:10

30DS L2D2 done but I'm regretting not having done it since Monday, damn real life getting in the way. At least my DH is away next week so I'll be able to exercise in the evenings instead of getting tempted with drinking wine and watching TV.

Crazyhours · 08/03/2014 14:01

30DS L2D1 done! As Lindt forewarned, I'm a horrible, sweaty mess.

StuntNun i found some of the moves tricky too, I'm hoping my form improves as I get stronger.

Also, think I may need to get some lighter weights for some of the arm exercises, had to put them down for a couple of them. Would be good to know what people are using?

Mummytom1403 · 08/03/2014 14:14

Have done L1D2 actually quite enjoying it and looking forward to what the results will beGrin

LakeFlyPie · 08/03/2014 14:31

Finally another Shred day following departure of the ILs!

Another L1 day, was intending to start Ri30 but having a little trouble locating the DVD, will track it down and have a go tomorrow.

Great to see so many new Shredders and the die hard oldies too of course Smile

Mummytom1403 · 08/03/2014 14:55

What's Ri30

LakeFlyPie · 08/03/2014 15:05

mumy Ri30 = Ripped in 30, another 30 min Jillian DVD which is reported to be a good follow on from 30DS.

MammaGnomes · 08/03/2014 16:56

Crazyhours how long did you do L1 for before moving on to L2? is it much harder or just as hard as L1 was on Day 1??

2tiredtocare · 08/03/2014 20:14

30DS L3 D1 done, sweated profusely with this one! Someone pointed out the background music turning sinister on the last lap of this level and it really does! Lindt You'll be pleased to know the JM has changed into a more supportive sports bra/top for this level

Crazyhours · 08/03/2014 20:22

MammaGnomes well done on your 3lb loss, that's really good. I only did L1 5 times. I do find L2 harder than I found L1 to be at the beginning, but it's a good challenge! I couldn't keep up with them during some of the cardio bits, so I just went at my own pathetic pace, but I'm assuming this will improve! The bits I couldn't keep up with them you can't watch them as you're doing it anyway so I don't think it really counts.
Try it! Grin

Crazyhours · 08/03/2014 20:23

Oh god yes 2tired I couldn't keep my eyes off her bouncing norks today, suppose it distracted me from the pain though! Well done for surviving L3!

StuntNun · 08/03/2014 20:32

Crazy I use 1kg weights for level 2 but I would need heavier weights for level 1 of 30DS.

Mamma I did level 1 six times before moving to level 2. I like some of the level 1 exercises better so I'm wondering about mixing and matching, particularly on the aerobic sections. The walking down to push ups on level 2 are a literal pain for me as I have a dodgy weak wrist so I would rather just do the level 1 press ups instead.

oohdaddypig · 08/03/2014 22:18

Mamma - that's amazing weight loss. Well done!

I prefer L2 of 30DS as it's not as tough in the old creaky knees. I think mixing it up works well.

No shred for me tonight. I'm really tired so did the JM yoga DVD instead thinking it would be relaxing. NOT so! Loved it and I feel better for doing something different.

spinningirl10 · 09/03/2014 08:53

Ri30 L3 D18 done!!

I'm going to move on to level 4 tomorrow!

Mamma...fab weight loss, well done!

Crazy....I have 2kg and 4kg weights.

Crazyhours · 09/03/2014 09:25

My weights are 2.5kg, they're ok for most things (though I wouldn't want them any heavier!). For the Anterior hand raises in L1 I could only do it if I just held one of the weights. For one of the exercises in L2 (don't know what it's called but it's the one where you're squatting and pulling the weights towards you) I just cannot do! My arms are so weedy! Think I'll need to get some 1kg ones.

I'm so very impressed you're using 4kg weights spinningirl10.

Butt is hurting today, which is actually a good feeling! Other than that not very sore. Went out last night for a 4km jog, possibly might take today as a rest day, will see how I'm feeling later on.

StuntNun · 09/03/2014 12:06

30DS L2D3 done and it's definitely getting slightly easier every time. I'm not convinced I will be 'shredded' at the end of 30 days though - I might need to lose some fat first. Is anyone doing the JM-approved diet as well as the shred? I'm wondering what it involves or whether it's just a standard reduced calorie low fat diet.

GeorginaWorsley · 09/03/2014 13:25

Enjoyed L2 on Fri
Did 5 mile walk/climb(,don't ask)in Lake district yesterday and although hated it at times, especially climbing uphill,I did manage it which I never would have a few weeks ago.

LakeFlyPie · 09/03/2014 20:13

No Shred today and still haven't found my Ri30 DVD but dug over th'allotment and swam a km so haven't been completely sedentary. Concerted effort to locate Ri30 will commence shortly.

2tiredtocare · 09/03/2014 21:11

30DS L3 D2 done

Lindt70Percent · 09/03/2014 22:33

6W6P L1D9 done after 2 days off. Too tired to say any more!

oohdaddypig · 09/03/2014 22:41

Well just over 2 weeks into shred and I have lost 5 pounds. I didn't set out to lose weight so this has been a surprise. I don't want to lose any more! But it does show how effective shred is - I was only doing it 5 days a week. But weirdly I haven't lost any inches off my waist which was why I took it up to begin with. Hmm

I am much MUCH stronger though. My stomach has lost its hang out look it did after two babies. I look leaner and stronger. Overall I'm impressed!!

Have done the JM yoga the last two nights for a break. I do yoga anyway so found it not too hard but really enjoyed it. I get bored easily.

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

spinningirl10 · 10/03/2014 07:47

Ri30 D19 L4 doneGrin

I prefer L4 to L3, seems easier on the knees!

Oohdaddy....well done on weight loss!

2tiredtocare · 10/03/2014 13:09

30DS L3 D3 done, no 6w6p today as have pilates class tonight

RunningKatie · 10/03/2014 13:17

30ds l1d3 done. Also walked about 4 miles carrying 2 stone of ds in a sling.

Going to a group this afternoon so will be having a biscuit whilst i'm there.

Lindt70Percent · 10/03/2014 13:41

6W6P L1D10 done. Feeling stronger but still can't do the side plank stuff which is really irritating me. I can just about hold plank on my right side but not at all on my left.

Can't believe I've done 10 of these now. I started 6W6P on 26th Feb so will keep doing level 1 for another week (which will mean I've done 3 weeks of level 1) and then move onto level 2.

Sort of enjoying it but also pretty bored!
