I need to have someone to do this with, I tried it once and got to day 3 but then gave up. Please join me if you want to attempt this with me.

Lindt....are there 3 or 4 levels on 6w6p? It's quite along time for 3 levels isn't it but I guess it takes that long to see results! Can you see any changes yet?

I'm enjoying Ri30, I'm on D18 and already thinking about what to do when I finishGrin Think I'll do Killer Buns and Thighs.....I think there's a couple of ladies doing it now, how are you finding it?

2tiredtocare · 10/03/2014 15:32

6wk6p has 2 levels, 3 weeks at each level

Lindt70Percent · 10/03/2014 16:17

spinninggirl10 as 2tiredtocare says there are only 2 levels on 6w6p. Yes, I can see results although I don't think I'm ever going to look like Jillian! No more muffin top for me which is great. Feeling much more confident about my body.

I struggle with most of the cardio bits on the floor. I still can't do mountain climbers etc. and so just hold plank. Can't do the side plank movements and am struggling even to hold side planks. Bit irritating but then I am 42; I'm sure Jillian would say that was no excuse.

ErrolTheDragon · 10/03/2014 16:23

No excuse at all - I can do those and I'm 53. Though I've not shredded today - we went for a walk in the sun and then I had other stuff I needed to do so I think I've missed the chance for today. Tomorrow if this weather holds we're planning on getting the bikes out, for the first time in ages.... hopefully I can pick up again Wednesday.

Spinning (and anyone else doing Ri30) - how many days per level are you doing? Last time I did it I did 10 days (2x5 weekdays) per level which is obviously more than 30!

GandTnow · 10/03/2014 16:33

Had a rest day yesterday, mainly because I had family over for most of the day. I've done day 9 level 1 of Shred. I'm thinking of moving up to level 2 tomorrow, but might chicken out and give myself 1 more level 1!

Nightwish · 10/03/2014 17:42

Ri30 L1D6 done.
3 days off due to being useless.
Really need to get my motivation back!
Think I may try doing it first thing in the morning before DS2 wakes up to get it out of the way but not sure how it will work. Can only try I suppose.

Errol I am aiming to do 7/8 days dependent on how well I am doing the level.

Spinning I like KB&T, but that is probably because it is the areas I need to focus on! It is a different format, 4 circuits each repeated once. Some days I enjoy it, some I hate it because it is a bit longer.

spinningirl10 · 10/03/2014 20:05

Thanks Tired and Lindt

Sounds like you're doing well Lindt and it'd always a motivator when you can see a difference! Only 2 levels though!! Think I'd have to mix it up with another one or I'd get bored!

Nightwish Thanks, it's also the bit I most want to tone up so I think I'll do it next!!

Errol.....I've been doing 6 days of each level which will only take me to 24 days, then I thought I would do a different level each day to take me to 30!! How are you finding it?

LakeFlyPie · 10/03/2014 20:18

Finally found my Ri30 and L1 D1 done.
Really enjoyed the change and strangely found the combination of moves more manageable than a lot of the 30DS circuits.
Certainly more sweaty and jelly legged afterwards, in a good way.
Anticipating some new achey bits tomorrow!
May have a look at her diet plan too (although if I just stuck to SW which I know inside out I'm sure the lbs would melt away).
Is anyone following her diet plan?

Crazyhours · 10/03/2014 21:03

No shredding for me today as I went to a Metafit class. I'm definitely finding Metafit easier and I think it's all down to me getting fitter and stronger because of the 30DS, it's great motivation! even if I haven't lost weight or inches yet

Oohdaddypig that's awesome weightloss what's your secret?, have you altered your diet at all?

GeorginaWorsley · 10/03/2014 21:25

L2D2 done!
I find the twist jump things hard though.

oohdaddypig · 10/03/2014 22:17

Crazy - how does metafit compare? Harder generally?

L3D1 done. It's tough but feel quite proud I've managed it and how much stronger I am.

Diet wise - for 6 months I have ditched gluten and processed foods/too much sugar. I started this way of eating for health reasons and it's made a huge difference to how I feel. And by accident the last of my baby weight has disappeared.

spinningirl10 · 11/03/2014 07:31

Ri30 D20 L4 doneGrin

SuchSweetSorrow · 11/03/2014 07:44

I'm late coming to this thread but may I join in please?! Have just joined MFP and starting the shred today for the 10th time. Need to stick at it this time!

RunningKatie · 11/03/2014 08:19

Question for shredders! On level 1, could you do the full press up before you moved to level 2?

I'm doing day 4 today, did most of the advanced moves yesterday and tried the press ups but managed 6 before switching to doing the easier on the knees move.

I'm going to try again today!

GandTnow · 11/03/2014 08:29

Did level 2 day 1 today. RunningKatie, I didn't manage all the harder moves on level 1, but just got sick of doing the same thing everyday. My plan is to do maybe 8/9 days on level 2 then move up. At the end I'll have a few days where I'll mix up the levels (and hopefully see how easy I find them now - ha!)

Haven't noticed any weight loss and I'm a bit worried about checking inch loss in case there isn't any - would be very demotivated. Someone who has done this before - is this normal? Do I need to alter my diet?

OP posts:
StuntNun · 11/03/2014 10:35

Katie I'm on level 2 and still can't do press ups however there aren't any on level 2, just this pita walking press up thing so it shouldn't stop you moving up. I found I didn't work up much of a sweat on level 1 so level 2 is much better for me apart from the wretched squat thrusts.

Lindt70Percent · 11/03/2014 11:14

Errol, you totally destroyed my attempt at playing the age card!

Pah, I guess I'll have to have another go at those mountain climbers then. Actually, can I have another go at playing the 'I'm doing this barefoot' card? Haven't wanted to fork out for trainers but have to admit that any moving around in plank is tricky when barefoot as I do tend to slip around a bit.

There, I think I managed to justify that excuse!

2tiredtocare · 11/03/2014 12:13

It's definately harder barefoot Lindt

Lindt70Percent · 11/03/2014 14:30

6W6P L1D11 done.

Thanks 2tiredtocare! Grin

I actually tried the plank jacks and mountain climbers this time and they weren't too bad! So, Errol's right too, I can do it. However, I have to say it all felt a bit out of control and I'm not sure what those moves were doing for me. I think I actually get more out of holding plank, it feels harder and I can feel my abs working and am more in control.

Still cannot do the side planks though. I have some success holding side plank on my left arm but can't do it at all on my right side. It may be to do with hurting my shoulder when I fell down all the way down our steep stairs last year. That was my 'injured-falling-downstairs' card by the way - I'm full of excuses reasons!

Anyway, I'm feeling good and the bits I am managing to do are working!

MammaGnomes · 11/03/2014 15:48

not shredded today but I'm at aqua jog later. not looking forward to it. not a strong swimmer and they put weights on you and throw you in the deep end. hoping its not as bad as it sounds

2tiredtocare · 11/03/2014 17:46

I tidied instead of JM today as tuesdays is my back to back exercise class day

NotGoodNotBad · 11/03/2014 18:09

RunningKatie, I've been doing Shred and now Ripped in 30 for 2 months now (am on Level 3 of Ri30) but still can't manage a full press up. I've never managed one in my life and if I waited to do one now before moving up a level I'd never make any progress.

GandT, only lost 2-3 pounds until I started eating less as well. I've lost around 5 pounds now (yeah, big deal!) but I do feel fitter and stronger.

Crazyhours · 11/03/2014 21:19

30DS L2D2 done!

Still a sweaty mess!

Oohdaddypig your diet sounds like what I try to aim for, but all too often break it with something sugary when it all gets a bit stressful. Hearing how great you feel is very motivational though.
Metafit is fab. It is tough but I wouldn't say it's any harder, it's actually pretty similar. You work at your own pace/ability and is only 20 minutes or so, which makes it easier to give it your best shot. It's different each time which keeps it interesting, and has improved my fitness a lot in a relatively short space of time.

MammaGnomes · 11/03/2014 21:50

1st time at aqua jog tonight. was hard but good. slightly pissed off with the instructor. she shouted from the sidelines whilst eating a McDonald's. WTF?! back to shred tomorrow

GandTnow · 12/03/2014 08:08

Day2 level 2 Shred done. Feeling sore again and getting a bit down that I'm not seeing results. My fitness is improving but still got wobbly tummy going on.
mammaGnomes McDonald's! That's harsh!!!
