Welcome MsFiremanSam!

L3D1 done. L3 seems to go very quickly. I'm having to substitute jump ropes for the rock star jumps. Even though I'm doing it for the second time I'm still doing mainly Anita moves in L3 - I just can't do the plank/push up type moves unless on my knees.

Hope your DD is feeling better giraffes.

Just finished L1D2.
Will admit I didn't find the time yesterday but have decided it's best to keep on going even if I don't manage every day rather than give up because I missed one.
Wasn't overly much easier though.
Hope your DD is better soon giraffes.

giraffeseatpineapples · 06/12/2013 18:20

thanks nightwish and will! ok my confession is I haven't ordered my replacement shred dvd (was hoping it would turn up and using you tube for level 1) so have been doing week 2 of ri30 - it is really hard - i did just over 20 minutes.

ElleBellyBeeblebrox · 06/12/2013 19:03

Evening all
Giraffes hope your dd is feeling better. I find it's hard to find spare time for exercise anyway with DC's about, let alone when someone is poorly.
I did L1D9 today. Managed 5 proper push ups which I couldn't do any proper down to the floor ones last time round,so trying to add another each day. Any kind of lunges still crap. Knee still hurting so pleased to have weekend off!
I find the chest rows and chest flies (is that what they're called?) fairly easy but only have the 5lb weights so can't up them. Either that or I'm doing them wrong! Pelvic floor still hit and miss during the cardio, jumping jacks still a no no :(

will I couldn't do those rock star jumps either, I can't really get my head round exactly what my legs are supposed to be doing!
Have a nice weekend shredders :)

EauRougemasTree · 07/12/2013 15:34

L2D5 done and I think it's getting easier. I managed Natalie plank jacks although I'm still doing Anita squat thrusts. I can do the plank twists now but the one where you swing your legs over to the side still makes me fall over. I just can't get that one right.

giraffeseatpineapples · 07/12/2013 20:42

Well done eau and elle - lovely when you can do exercises that were difficult.

DD more poorly today Sad luckily she was ok early on in the am so I got some exercise done (week 2 d3)

Still on Ri30 at mo but just doing 1st 2 circuits, will be lovely if it gets easier

Nightwish · 07/12/2013 21:46

L1D3 complete.
Glad I managed to squeeze it in during a nap for DS2, any later I probably wouldn't have got round to it.
Slightly easier today.
How is Ri in 30?
I was researching her other workouts for what to do after Shred. (Positive thinking - I will complete it this time!)

ErrolTheDragon · 07/12/2013 23:00

How is Ri in 30?

a bit harder than shred, IMO - there's quite a lot of balancing on one leg and a lot of planking. But it starts easier than shred ends, I think, so def doable.

Glad to see you've all been hard at it while I've been having my week off - during which I had a nasty cold so I suppose that was good timing!

Nightwish · 08/12/2013 12:34

L1D4 done.
Giraffes hope your DD is better today!

May get Ripped for after Shred then Errol.

MsFiremanSam · 08/12/2013 12:35

Another one here with a stinking cold, plus both the DC's. Misery all round!
Really want to finish the Shred before Xmas and got 2 days of L2 left yet. Plan is to do Ri30 in the new year.
Hope all the ill people and their little ones feel better soon!

MsFiremanSam · 08/12/2013 12:36

Nightwish, Extreme Shred is good too, although more like 40 minutes.

andagiraffeinapineappletree · 08/12/2013 20:41

Day 14 jillianing, it was really really hard today and my wrist was hurting for plank exercises - could I be positioning incorrectly?

thanks mrsfireman - she was pretty perky today so fingers crossed she is on the mend Smile

andagiraffeinapineappletree · 08/12/2013 20:45

Ooh sorrymrsfireman hope you and dc feeling better too - much much harder when all ill at same time Sad fingers crossed we are just getting the bugs over by christmas.

thanks nightwish too!

WillColbert · 09/12/2013 09:04

L3D2 done. I always look forward to my Monday shred although it is usually quite hard after the weekend excesses/break.

Great to read how everyone is getting on. Hope all bugs are gone and all shreds completed by Christmas.

Shred fail this morning, DS teething so very unsettled night and ended up in bed with us so I didn't get up bright and early like usual to do it. Oh well tomorrow is another day!

ErrolTheDragon · 09/12/2013 09:14

I'm back - decided to do a couple of weeks of Shred before xmas - not sure how many days I'll do each level but anyway, L1D1 done. Its still hard work but def easier than previous rounds!

PrimalLass · 09/12/2013 15:43

Me too ErroltheDragon. I started again today. Last time I really knackered my back doing the L2 plank stuff, so not sure what I'll do about that. I might need to substitute something else in.

MsFiremanSam · 09/12/2013 16:11

Still too poorly to Shred Hmm but well done people still at it!
Hoping to be back on it tomorrow or Weds.
Can't manage a plank yet either and still have a two finger gap in my stomach so I'm substituting the abs exercises on Shred for post-natal ones.

andagiraffeinapineappletree · 09/12/2013 19:41

I havent shreded or whatever yet today - might try to this eve - would like to skip it but then i wont have met my christmas challenge. Sort of feel like if I don't do it today I will lose motivation,

andagiraffeinapineappletree · 09/12/2013 21:37

Grin i decided to take things back a step so did ri30 week 1 - and I could do it from start to finish, ok I still cant do a proper push up or hold some of the exercises quite as long as they do but I am getting there!

andagiraffeinapineappletree · 09/12/2013 21:41

realising I have ignored everyone Blush

Waves to errol and primal

Hope everyone gets good nights sleeps and feel well tomorrow [thaks]

ErrolTheDragon · 10/12/2013 08:56

L1D2 done. Still can't do full pushups but the knee ones are pretty solid now. Using 3kg weights for most of it except the anterior raises 1.5 and 5lb for the second set of a couple of them.

ElleBellyBeeblebrox · 10/12/2013 14:38

Welcome back Errol! L1D10 today, wasn't very motivated after a weekend of excesses! Not looking forward to level 2, but perhaps it'll be easier than I remember?! Knees ache. Hope everyone is well and recovering from illnesses.

WillColbert · 10/12/2013 15:25

Well done shredders. L3D3 done today. It's a good job I have this thread to help me keep track of the days.

AddictedtoCrunchies · 10/12/2013 15:30

Sorry to butt in but do you find the Shred helps with weight loss or is it more of a strengthening and toning exercise?

I did it once and felt firmer but can't remember whether I lost weight too. Thanks.
