Good going Earslaps Smile I bet people answer the door in much worse than that, I once opened the door to the amazon driver with a lump of poo in my hand...

Theonlyoneiknow · 03/04/2014 17:12

Hi, sorry lots of newbie to the thread questions! How do some of the other DVDs compare intensity wise to the L3 of 30DS?

IdkickJilliansAss · 03/04/2014 17:14

The circuit ones like BFBM and NMTZ are double the length so quite intense but there again you can pick and choose how many circuits you do.

knottyhair · 03/04/2014 18:04

Shock at serving biceps with 3kg! I have to drop down to 2kg for those, and I still wince my way through them.

nettie · 03/04/2014 18:37

Did l1 shred
with weights today(thanks youtube) I used a 2lb handweight which is what I usually shred with, if I was to in est in a kettlebell what weight would you wise Jillianites recommend I get. Also has anybody bought one from aldi, if so are they ok?

Lindt70Percent · 03/04/2014 20:00

My son (13) keeps well out of the way if I'm exercising. He made the mistake of walking in once and said, "Urgh, Mum!" and closed the door again. I exercise wearing only knickers and a sports bra (saves on washing) so can't blame him really. Blush

DD is 10 and will stay in the same room, although usually on the iPad. She occasionally joins in. She gets a bit worried about how red I'm going sometimes, particularly when Jillian's saying 'encouraging' things like, "I want you to feel like you're going to die" or "you should be gargling your heart". Grin

IdkickJilliansAss · 03/04/2014 20:12

Grin Grin Grin

knottyhair · 03/04/2014 20:59

She's already known as Aunty Jillian in our house Grin.

spinningirl10 · 03/04/2014 21:07

Haha Lindt, your post made me laughGrin

I did KB&T L2 today......it's hard!! I and hoped to get to the gym this afternoon but it didn't happen! Must try harder tomorrowGrin

spinningirl10 · 03/04/2014 21:10

Idkick....a lump of poo?!Grin

EarSlaps · 04/04/2014 00:53

Lump of poo Grin. The things you do with children!

Yes, 3kgs was hard for serving biceps, but it seemed ok after the 4kgs for the other exercises. I did collapse during the plank jack/mountain climbers bit though. L2 ripped is really tough on my wrists.

oohdaddypig · 04/04/2014 07:02

Lindt :) :) my kids are younger and think I'm bonkers "what you doin'" says my perturbed toddler watching mummy groan and pant.

Nettie - I started with a 4 kg weight for kettles and now use a 6kg. But I am one of the punier members of this thread :)

Another one who exercises in bra and knickers. :)

knottyhair · 04/04/2014 09:38

Did ES&S L1 at 6am. The last circuit does feel a bit "meh", I never feel that the Brazilian stuff is really doing anything. So I did star jumps instead - couldn't think of anything more inventive on the spot!

spinningirl10 · 04/04/2014 14:09

Today I've done KB&T L2 and I've been to the gym for a 30min treadmill run and some ab work followed by a relax in the steam room Grin

IdkickJilliansAss · 04/04/2014 14:31

Thanks for the inspiration Spinning Smile

Thecrazy88 · 04/04/2014 14:49

Hi everyone, still here, halfway through phase 1 of Jillian's Body Revolution now so can put away workouts 1 and 2 and move on to workouts 3 and 4 next week. Bits of it are hard but on the whole it is not pushing me, probably because I am used to doing much longer workouts. My main gripe is that there isn't enough abs work so far, which is annoying as that's my main 'trouble zone'. Hoping it will step up a gear next week!

Glad to hear everyone else still going for it. Radio says we are in for a long hot summer, which means shorts!! That's all the motivation I need...

nettie · 04/04/2014 15:10

Thanks daddypig. I think I've got a heavier set of weights somewhere, so might see how I get on with one of those.

oohdaddypig · 04/04/2014 17:01

30DSL2 done. It's still a bloody hard workout. DH said I said "fuck me" three times during it which isn't great given kids in earshot. Blush

Brazilian exercises? What are these if which you speak

Kundry · 04/04/2014 17:10

Well I've had a major set back with the shred after developing horrible pain in both knees. I'd been loving Gillian and was doing Level3 alternating with 3 circuits of BFBM and was noticing dramatic improvements in my fitness but the exercise was clearly setting it off - felt as if things were sliding about in my knees.

Been to physio today and apparently I have very weak quads (no surprise as I've never made them do any work before!), very small and high patellas and loose patellar ligaments. So basically my kneecaps were sliding about whenever I was exercising Sad

She strapped my knees (kneecaps now feel as if they are in the wrong place but apparently this is where they are meant to be) and given my exercises to do to strengthen my quads. I should be aiming for David Beckham quads Shock

So I'm going to spend a few weeks doing my quads exercises only before starting again with my knees strapped - fingers crossed.

V disappointed as I was really getting an endorphin rush, and as Gillian would say the quads exercises 'don't burn hardly any calories' Grin

IdkickJilliansAss · 04/04/2014 18:05

NMTZ done. I agree about the Capoeira, it did nothing for me but I probably did it wrong Grin

notyummy · 04/04/2014 18:42

I'm still here, just completely under the cosh at work- leaving the house at 615am, returning at 630pm and them putting the laptop in when dd in bed and working until midnight. DH away so all the domestic stuff falls to me too so this week had been blisteringly hard.

I managed 20 on the cross trainer on Monday and the first 20 minute of Bobs cardio on Tuesday before a work call (at 9pm...) stopped me. No time on Wednesday. Was so frazzled yesterday from rushing around and lack of sleep that I decided I was going to prioritise myself for an hour but felt so exhausted that the idea of doing anything hardcore seemed too much (those of you who 'know' me from this thread will know that that is going against the grain!) I did Bobs yoga instead and it felt v good. Today slightly better and managed 60 Second Promise (good 40/45 minute workout) and am about to do 30 mins of Tracey Anderson. Will definitely do something tomorrow and Sunday- just not sure what yet!

mamijacacalys · 04/04/2014 19:44

My kids call her the mad womanSmile.
Also been doing long hours at work this week so have only managed a few shred L3s.
Planning on NMTZ tomorrow and Sunday.

knottyhair · 05/04/2014 05:53

Thecrazy, hope you're right about the summer!
Oohdaddy, I'dkick has given them their proper name Blush. One e.g. is you do a sort of side lunge whilst pretending to hold a basketball Hmm. And I'm sure you weren't doing them wrong I'dkick, I've taken a straw poll amongst my Jillian-loving friends (total of 1) and she agrees with me so we must be right Grin.

Notyummy, that sounds very stressful. Hats off to you, and anyone who works and still manages to fit in exercise.
Rest day today although I'm walking into town and back with Ten Ton Tessie (aka DD) in the pushchair (only 3 miles round trip but better than nothing). Tomorrow is an 18 mile training walk. Then next week is a bit of a write off until Friday - I have to rest on Monday but my friend is arriving first thing anyway to stay overnight with her 2 kids, then Weds we're away for a couple of days seeing more friends. Back Thurs eve, so hopefully back to it on Friday.

spinningirl10 · 05/04/2014 16:13

KB&T L2 doneGrin

I can see a difference in legs and bum, really happyGrin

Has anyone got Yoga Inferno? I like the look of it but see its only available to order from America!

IdkickJilliansAss · 05/04/2014 20:49

Yay! I have acquired dents (for want of a better word) in the sides of my bum and much improved arms. Jillian for prime minister!
