I hadn't done anything since Friday but today I've done KB&T L1D3. Don't know what's up with me, can't seem to get enthusiastic about it at the moment. I'm eating the wrong things and drinking too much too. Had been doing so well until the last 2 weeks.

You lot sound amazing! I'm so impressed at you doing more than one session a day. I've never tried NMTZ but it always translates to No More Tearz in my head. Perhaps I should try it.

oohdaddypig · 02/04/2014 07:38

Ha ha i'dkick - I WILL start that and it will see me through the tedium of doggy kicks in yellow leg warmers!!

Jackster - you must be the same age as me :)

Lindt70Percent · 02/04/2014 09:21

KB&T L1D4 done. I was drenched in sweat by the end of it and feel quite achy now.

Liking the sound of NMTZ as an 80's workout.

IdkickJilliansAss · 02/04/2014 10:43

Well done Lindt getting back in to it is half the battle imo

Theonlyoneiknow · 02/04/2014 11:30

Hi!

Can I join your group! DP & I have been doing 30 Day Shred 3 or 4 times a week since January. Am combining this with running and cycling and definitely notice a difference especially my stomach muscles. Haven't really lost weight but am more trying to tone up than lose pounds (although always a bonus!).

I had posted another thread asking this question before I spotted this group! What DVD would you guys recommend we do after the 30 Day Shred? Just looking for a change as although I don't cruise through it am just getting a bit bored!

Thanks!
TOOIK

knottyhair · 02/04/2014 12:52

Hi Theonlyone - Charlatans fan?? Smile. If you want a similar format to the Shred (i.e. 3 mins strength/2 mins cardio/1 min abs), go for Ripped in 30. If you fancy a change, TBH I love all of hers! 6 week 6 pack has 2 levels, each about 35 mins. Banish Fat Boost Metabolism is 7 x 6 min circuits, no weights, more cardio heavy. No More Trouble Zones is the same format as BFBM but strength stuff with weights. Killer Buns & Thighs is one of my favourites - 4 levels. Extreme Shred & Shed is 2 levels, designed to be done together (about 70 mins in total) but you can just do one at a time. Probably forgotten some but that should give you enough to be getting on with!
Did BFBM this morning but as with NMTZ yesterday, just did each circuit once through but I did add weights.

Theonlyoneiknow · 02/04/2014 13:24

Thanks knotty yes an old school Charlatans Fan Smile

I understand the acronyms now that have been spelt out, thanks!

I think I would like something of about 30mins ish like 30 Day Shred as I just cram it in when the kids are in bed before I do the chores/chill out! I am running two or three times a week so do it on the alternate days.

I think I will try NMTZ or ES&S and just do one level. DP is enjoying it too although he normally does 45 mins of dancing with the xbox (I think) afterwards!

EarSlaps · 02/04/2014 14:33

Just checking in to say hi. Not much exercise going on here as it's been difficult to fit it in with DS off school recovering. The evenings he's been struggling to get to sleep and waking up a lot. He's starting to get a lot better but I'm exhausted! He's back at school tomorrow so hopefully I'll manage something tomorrow and Friday. Then I'm home alone with the boys all weekend so I might struggle there.

I got some 4kg weights for Mother's Day so I can work on getting stronger now Smile.

knottyhair · 02/04/2014 14:33

With NMTZ and BFBM, if you're stuck for time, you can either do 3 or 4 circuits or as I've been doing the last couple of days, do each circuit just once through (she repeats each one before moving on to the next). That works out about 30 mins.

knottyhair · 02/04/2014 14:34

Cross posted with you Earslaps! Really hope your DS feels better soon, and your nights improve.

Theonlyoneiknow · 02/04/2014 15:07

What do people think of Ripped in 30? it sounds quite good?

spinningirl10 · 02/04/2014 17:03

Hi allGrin

I've been busy doing KB&T, rest day today and into L2 tomorrow.

Theonlyway, I've done Ripped in 30 and loved it. Same format as shred and a great all over workout.

spinningirl10 · 02/04/2014 17:04

Sorry, That should have said theonlyone Grin

Theonlyoneiknow · 02/04/2014 17:44

Thanks spinning, think will get that one.

Sorry knotting just realised you recommended that one, Doh!

EarSlaps · 02/04/2014 22:30

Well I got back into it! L1 6w6p with a 4kg weight.

oohdaddypig · 03/04/2014 06:52

Managed level 2 yoga last night.

In bed psyching myself for RI30.....

Did someone up thread say they do BFBM with weights?!?!

knottyhair · 03/04/2014 09:38

Great work Earslaps! Oohdaddypig, that was me, but only because I rarely never do the whole thing. I either do 4 circuits or each circuit just once through, so not as bad as it sounds! Woke up feeling a bit crap again today - DP came home feeling rough last night and I woke up with sore throat/headache, so going to leave it today. Fingers crossed I'm OK for tomorrow - have ES&S L1 planned, nothing for Saturday and 18 mile training walk on Sunday.

Theonlyoneiknow · 03/04/2014 11:36

OOOOO have spotted some JM collections on Amazon!

Any thoughts? Think I will get one of these rather than a single DVD as they are near 10 anyway each:

or

or

Smile

Sorry you aren't feeling well knotty I should have done 30DS last night as tonight is my night off (late night shopping!) but I just couldn't be bothered! DD ate a stick of chalk (!) which threw me and I just wanted to sit and watch TOWIE Blush. Wednesday is our weigh in day at work too so I didn't feel too bad, just need to pick up the pace now in advance of next week's weigh in!

Lindt70Percent · 03/04/2014 13:58

KB&T L1D5 done. Find it really tough in places. Those chair squats are a killer and I can't do the side plank bits. Apart from that I quite like it because I can do most of it but it's hard going.

Theonlyoneiknow I have the 2nd box set you listed. So far I'm trying out KB&T but am looking forward to trying Ri30 too. I'm not good at mixing and matching like the rest of you. I tend to want to work through one DVD at a time, probably because it takes me a few goes to get the hang of a routine.

Kids break up tomorrow which will cramp my style a bit. I hope I can keep going while they're off because it will be awful trying to get back into it if I have a break.

IdkickJilliansAss · 03/04/2014 14:02

NMTZ done, might do RI30 later depending on what DH is doing. I'm going to be cramped in the style department too Lindt as will have the older two off school, I could do it in front of them I suppose but it'd feel weird Grin

knottyhair · 03/04/2014 14:17

I do in in front of my DS when he's off school. He sometimes joins in! But I can't do with 15 months old DD as she tries to lift my weights whilst going puce in the face.

IdkickJilliansAss · 03/04/2014 14:19

I think mine would all try and join in and things could get crowded! How cute, I have a 15 month old DS and bet he'd poo himself if he tried to pick up some of the heavier weights Grin

EarSlaps · 03/04/2014 14:49

Theonly- I have both those DVDs and they give me a brilliant range of workouts to pick from.

I exercise with children around too- usually just if only one around so I don't have to stop to referee Smile. Did l2 Ripped today with ds2 watching Team Umizoomi on the iPad. Used my new 4kg weights for most of it but 3kgs for serving biceps and tricep extensions. Rather embarrassingly the electrician turned up when I'd just finished stretching so I was in workout tights and sports bra and rather sweaty! Oh well, I guess some people wear less at the gym.

EarSlaps · 03/04/2014 14:49

I meant DVD collections obviously.

EarSlaps · 03/04/2014 14:51

Yes- DS2 went quite red trying to lift my 4kg weights! I think it sets them a good example to see you workout. I tell ds1 about the benefits of exercise- more energy, fitter and stronger etc.
