Medium sized person and no waist here! I'm very boyish of figure- no waist, hips or boobs. At least that means it's not too hard to keep it all relatively pert. There's still a bit more wobble than I'd like, but I'm not really prepared to put too much more time into it all, or give up the cake Grin.

2tiredtocare · 13/03/2014 20:13

30DS L3 D5 done.

mamijacacalys · 13/03/2014 21:06

Grin at yummy - arse touching my knees!
My arse has definitely dwindled and my waist is more defined.
Belly flab diminishing but still there despite all the twists and crunches.
Boobs have shrunk one or two cup sizes if my bras are anything to go by, but can't afford to replace yet.
Have cut out alcohol completely since January but still eat a kitkat or other choc bar each day so maybe I will try giving that up too for the rest of lent. Have not missed alcohol but will find giving up chocolate really hard!

oohdaddypig · 13/03/2014 21:36

30DS L3 D5. Really went for it and nearly expired during third series. :)

Anyone like BFBM? Not sure i could do 40 minutes Hmm

Ok so my waist is 29 inches - maybe 30. But I'm tall. Id like to lose the last bit of muffin top bit doesn't help that I eat a shed load of chocolate! That's the next step I guess :)

crazy88 · 14/03/2014 09:04

BFBM rules. Just done it this morning. I get up at 5:50 am and do NMTZ one day, BFBM the next, then killer buns the day after, repeat, then rest day. It worked for me last summer and it is (almost) light in the mornings now! Oh and btw, it is not 40 mins - both NMTZ and BFBM are 55 mins long if you include warm up and cool down! But unsurprisingly, they really work!

notyummy · 14/03/2014 09:17

I think you can def cut down both BFBM and NMTZ and still have a good workout though, so don't let the timings put you off. BFBM only has 2 properly tough circuits (1 and 6) so if select the option on the DVD to do it circuit by circuit and then skip the warm up (circuit 1 is as easy as her warms to other DVDs anyway so it can be used as a warm up) and then do 1-6 plus the cool down then it's just over 40 mins. If you are even shorter of time then skip circuit 5 as it is easy too and 1-4 plus 6. In NMTZ I would skip the last 2 circuits but keep warm up and cool down. Brings it in just under 40. They are really good workouts with some great core sections as well as all the standing stuff, so I would hate for people to miss out because they are longer!

Did Bobs yoga last night plus some Callanetics. Out on a 5 mile power walk just now, followed by Bobs cardio rev and possibly half of Tracey A's mat workout later. Can you tell it's my non working day?! NMTZ tomorrow. DH gets back from work in Africa tomorrow evening and I suspect he will want to do Bobs strength on
Sunday

Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine. Just peeking through the fog here in Lincs.

EarSlaps · 14/03/2014 12:04

L3 Killer yesterday and L3 shred today, forgot how much I like that one! I can't do the jumping lunges (they kill my knees) so I did regular lunges with some weights. I was amazed how much easier I found it then when I did shred. I guess all those other JM workouts have improved my fitness and strength.

Very foggy here too notyummy, still not cleared yet.

Whitershadeofpale · 14/03/2014 12:31

That's weird notmummy I find 2 and 6 he hardest, circuit 1 is fine but those damn plie hops and burpees kill me.

Jacksterbear · 14/03/2014 12:34

I'm guessing notyummy meant 2 and 6!

Cough and wheezing is worse Sad so having an enforced break from exercise.

Good going everyone.

notyummy · 14/03/2014 12:37

Sorry!! Yes - I did mean 2 and 6are the hardest on NMTZ. 1 is easiest circuit.

Happypiglet · 14/03/2014 14:51

Hi all...well I did a Ripped week but only 2 days of L1 and 2 days of L2 as I am feeling a bit down and struggling to motivate myself...still I am pleased I did that much. I really like L2...I find the strength quite do-able but the CV challenging...sooooo much plank CV work!
Not sure what to do next week. Maybe Ripped L3 and 4 for 2 days each... time is again short.
On the BFBM/ NMTZ debate I think they are great workouts esp NMTZ I just wish I had more time- I am finding even Ripped which is just a little bit longer than Shred hard to fit ATM...never mind those two. And I hate BFBM as I just find it so hard...CV is my down fall.

2tiredtocare · 14/03/2014 15:30

30DS L3 D6 and 6w6p L1 D11 done Smile feeling a bit proud

threestepsforward · 14/03/2014 16:09

Well done guys, let's hope we can keep this up until the weather gets better and we can show off our good work!

Going to struggle this weekend as dh away so I have the kids, and ds3 has suddenly decided that 6:30 is a reasonable time to get up in the morning Hmm. I might do killer tonight so that I can have a rest day tomorrow.

mamijacacalys · 14/03/2014 20:42

L3 Shred day 3.
Ripped in 30 has arrived but will do a few more days of shred before I start alternating.
Have signed up to an active work programme with work colleagues to keep up the motivation. Smile

2tiredtocare · 15/03/2014 11:23

6w6p L1 D12 and 4 circuits of BFBM done, thats the first time i've tried BFBM and I enjoyed it especially since you can choose how many circuits you want to do

notyummy · 15/03/2014 12:25

Well done 2Tired! From memory that sounds like a good combination as L1 6W6P not too cardio intensive so a core workout followed by some cardio probably ideal.

Aching slightly from quite a heavy day yesterday- 5 mile power walk in my MBT trainers (they are heavy!) followed by Bobs Cardio Rev. Although the name is cardio, he actually also uses weights got 2/3s of it- in a kind of kettle bell style. Most of the time it is one heavy weight, so I used 7kg rather than 5 yesterday- and there are a LOT of squats- and thighs slightly feeling it today. Did half of Tracy As mat workout in the evening too.

Did NMTZ this morning and plan to do Tracy A again later today. Easter holiday booked which involves a new (fairly skimpy) bikini, so needs must...

2tiredtocare · 15/03/2014 12:36

Sounds fantastic notyummy bet you'll rock that bikini. Yes 6w6p isnt cardio heavy and BFBM definately is and I sweated a satisfactory amount Grin

oohdaddypig · 15/03/2014 12:39

Notyummy - you must be VERY yummy!

I'm going to do a few circuits (all?) of BFBM tonight although with a slight hangover it could be interesting.....

How long is the bob cardio one? Is it more like a kettlebell workout?

notyummy · 15/03/2014 14:40

Bob cardio one is about 58 mins incvwarm up and cool down. I have never done a kettle bell workout although once watched one on a fitness channel and it looked quite similar tbh. Your heart rate def gets up there! There is a particularly delightful section which involves 30 secs of mountain climbers as fast as you can, straight into press-ups- then repeat. Then hold in plank. Not fun. The whole thing is quite Insanity levels of cardio, but it's hard.

notyummy · 15/03/2014 14:45

Should read 'isn't' Insanity level of cardio...

EarSlaps · 15/03/2014 19:59

Gosh I feel tired reading about what you've all been up to!

I'm having a rest day today, then hoping to exercise Sunday to Wednesday. Ds1 is having his tonsils out on Thursday so I don't know how much exercise I'll get done around the two weeks he'll be off. Plus then Easter holidays. And I've only just got back in the swing of it after all the kitchen works too!

crazy88 · 15/03/2014 21:20

I wish I had the time to do 2 workouts a day!

Dh away and ds1 slept with me last night, so instead of getting up early and doing jm I decided to stay in bed and have a cuddle with him! Which wouldn't have been so bad but I also had a McDonalds Blush

Anyway I have just done killer buns level 1 so all not lost but there is a box of Florentines in the cupboard that is speaking to me Confused

spinningirl10 · 16/03/2014 13:09

Hi ladies, I did pop on once and I traduced myself in January but since then I've been checking in daily on the monthly shred thread!

Anyway I've completed 30ds and am 6 days away from finishing Ri30 so I've started thinking about what to do next!

With healthy eating I've seen fab results from JM and now I want to concentrate on toning thighs and maintaining this weight.

I see lots of you mix up your DVDs so I think I might do this. I have killer buns so if I was to do this 3 days a week with either nmtz or bfbm on alternate days does this sound like a good plan?

I also go to the gym and run on the treadmill but with the lighter mornings I will be outdoor running or cycling soon so maybe not quite so much JM after Easter.

crazy88 · 16/03/2014 13:16

spinningirl yep that's pretty much what I do, you do need to allow quite a time commitment but as others have said you can be selective about circuits if you are short of time.

Congrats on finishing ri30!

Rest day for me today and I am eating BADLY so feeling really crap. Sad
