I shredded last night- only L1 but used 5kg throughout apart from the side lunges and front raise when I had to drop down. Used 2kgs during the cardio- and added a leg raise to the chest flys as well. Phew!

Going to do Bobs Pure Strength later today Going away this evening for a long weeks so will only be able to do cardio stuff as no access to weights, so though I should get the strength stuff in today.

knottyhair · 13/02/2014 13:00

I haven't done any Davina since "graduating" onto Jillian a few years ago. But my friend, who is a fellow Jillian devotee, has Davina's new one, 15 minute something or other, and says she quite likes doing 2 of those, feels the cardio section plus the core section is quite effective. I may borrow it at some point to investigate...
5kg throughout a Shred is some going notyummy! I did Ripped L2 yesterday as planned (still HATE that bloody cardio section in plank). Walked into town and back this morning. Was planning a Shred L2 tomorrow but DP now has to go into work earlier than normal so I don't think I'll manage anything (he has DD in the morning for half an hour so I can work out). But I'm planning Bob's Pure Strength for Saturday, good luck for later today notyummy!

Happypiglet · 13/02/2014 14:54

I am still here but have had a week catching up with friends before half term and enjoying myself too muchm and haven't done anything until today. Blush
Did Killer L3 today which I lurve...
Will try a quick Shred tomorrow before another coffee catch up and too much cake
Next week half term here so won't be JMing...
Any one else glued to the mad people flinging themselves down huge slopes on skis and boards.... I feel very old!

notyummy · 16/02/2014 18:25

Hello from the sofa! I am horrendously hungover following a very boozy (but fun!) wedding yesterday. So no exercise for me...

I did Bob on Thursday, BFBM on Friday and 6W6P L1 yesterday so don't feel too bad for having a day off. Not sure what to do tomorrow. Maybe 60 Second Promise...

threestepsforward · 18/02/2014 00:57

Hi to all x

Sneaking on in the dead of the night - it's not been a great new year as yet. My lovely, amazing, loved dog was put to sleep this morning. He was in terrible pain and I'm relieved to know he's not suffering any more. We had 10 minutes together, just us, before the sedative properly kicked in and I'm so thankful for that.

His head was wet with tears by the end :( I will miss him more than I thought imaginable. If anyone wants to know what 'the best dog in the world' looks like his photos are on my profile...

Yet to hear the results for Mum and I'm hoping and praying all will be good for her.

Friends and family, most of all mum, have been amazing. Am I being silly about a dog? He's been my wing man for 13 years and seen me through many a stupid year of my life with no complaining and constant love.

Anyhoo, had a special evening with my ex-DP when we talked about him and chose some pics to create a little page for him.

So my thread shyness continues it seems. I promise I'll be back soon and am as ever really impressed with you all. Go y'all :)

Threesteps xx

Threesteps, so so sorry my love. He was a beautiful dog, love his eyes! And you're not being silly at all, you obviously had a very special relationship. Really hope your Mum gets good news Thanks.

notyummy · 18/02/2014 11:49

So sorry to hear that threesteps. We lost my family per dog at the age of 18 (she was 18 and so was I) and although we knew that the decision was the right one, she was sorely missed. Eventually it will you will be able to look back with fondness rather than sadness.

Jacksterbear · 18/02/2014 12:13

Oh 3steps Sad Thanks Thanks. What a lovely dog. Not silly at all to be devastated - I still well up thinking about my childhood dog and the day he had to be put to sleep, nearly 20 years ago!

Having a break from Shaun / return to Jillian this week! Did L1 6w6p yesterday, will have to play the rest of the week by ear.

Kundry · 18/02/2014 22:11

So sorry Threesteps, def not being silly about a dog - they are family Thanks

I managed to do all of level 2 for the first time today (modified moves only) - thrilled as first time I nearly gave up on the whole thing as it was SO HARD. Also I've lost a inch off my waist and hips!

Currently debating sticking at level 2 longer than 10 days but upping my weights to 1kg. Also wondering what to do when the shred is over - have loads of weight to lose so thinking about BFBM.

EarSlaps · 19/02/2014 06:30

Threesteps- sorry to hear about your dog. Pets are never 'just animals', they're a part of your family. I lost my first cat when I was 17 and he was 18, I was devastated and needed a day off work as I couldn't stop crying. He saw me through a lot of teenage angst and I still miss him.

Half term, so not much exercise going on at the moment! Other than running around after two boys Grin. Once I can get back on it I'm going to do some Killer, some 6w6p and try ES&S.

threestepsforward · 19/02/2014 11:02

Thanks so much everyone for the kind words. I can't believe how much I miss him.

Exercise has taken a bit of a back seat at the moment but I should really get back to it as I know it will help my mood.

My fantastic ex-DP has made him his own facebook page Grin (which non-facebookers, like me - a facebook refuser - can also see).

If anyone is interested the link is:

www.facebook.com/SlimRedFred

(I appreciate not everyone will find an entire page dedicated to my pet that interesting!)

Lovely to read how everyone is getting on - I will be back soon and throwing myself back into it :)

I had a quick look threesteps. He looks so cute, though I have to admit I'm a cat person rather than a dog person Smile.

I finally cracked open ES&S- I did just level one and really enjoyed it. I like the format and I can see that doing the whole thing would be great if and when you get the time. It was great to get back to exercising too after a break over half term.

The new kitchen is finally functional. Still need the flooring and decorating done but it's great to be able to cook again at last. My diet is already improving. I got a new slow cooker too so going a little slow cooker crazy, should be great for some nice healthy meals.

EarSlaps · 24/02/2014 13:07

Did a L1 6w6p- forgot how much I love that workout. It's great to be back to exercise again after the half term.

Jacksterbear · 24/02/2014 14:14

Earslaps I've never been a big L1 6w6p fan although it's growing on me a bit! Too much plank work! L2 I love.

Last week did 6w6p both levels, and Ripped L2 and L4. Good to have a Jillian week, and found myself able to attack the moves much more (eg feet further in on squat thrusts, further round on plank moguls, lower squats). Partly am fitter and stronger from T25, but also because I've got out of the rut I was in, of only pushing myself as far as I was comfortable with, when I was doing JM workouts that I was very familiar with, over and over. Doing loads of new workouts, where I'm pushing and testing myself, has made me realise I can push myself further than I thought!

Glad you liked L1 es&s. It's a nice fun workout with no nasty bits (except the burpees at the start but they are over very quickly).

Back to Shaun this week.

notyummy · 24/02/2014 14:59

A fairly busy exercise week! Managed a cross trainer session, Pilates, NMTZ twice, L1 6W6P, Bobs Yoga- and his Pure Strength. Looks quite a lot when you see it written down like that! Am planning cross trainer tonight, Bobs cardio rev tomorrow, a Shred on Thursday and a play with my new home TRX system and DVD on Friday.

Happypiglet · 24/02/2014 22:17

Hi all, sorry to hear about your dog Threesteps and as everyone else has said you are not being silly!
Last 2 weeks were pants with no JMing...too busy the week before half term and then half term a write off.. although did some biking and walking with the kids but nothing to write home about.
So determined to have a god week this week. Shred L1 today. Will prob have a L1 week and do Ripped, Killer and ES&S as well and repeat one of them as time allows.
I need to have concerted effort over the next 5 weeks as I have put about three or four pounds on over half term...not good...

notyummy · 27/02/2014 16:32

Lunch out at work involved massive burger and now want to sleep. Will force myself to do L2 ripped later... Legs still aching from Bobs cardio rev on Tues.

EarSlaps · 27/02/2014 20:03

I made Nigella's blondies today. Ate slightly more than I should have so I'll give dinner a miss this eve since DH is out.

Did a L1 shred yesterday with weights for the cardio and did a L1 Killer today. Not sure if I'll manage anything tomorrow but I'll do one over the weekend.

Happypiglet · 27/02/2014 20:13

Hiya did Shred 1 Monday, ES&S 1 Tuesday, Ripped 1 yest and rest day today.... Will do Killer 1 tomorrow. Too busy at weekend as have house guests so back to it next week.

knottyhair · 28/02/2014 05:41

Hellooooo! Still haven't managed to get back into it properly - just the odd Shred in between colds etc. Ridiculously busy week preparing for DS's 10th birthday today (although the celebrations go on all weekend Grin), plus another fecking cold started on Tuesday after sitting next to my friend Mon night whilst he very kindly coughed & spluttered all over me. If I feel better, I may try and fit something in on Sunday inbetween cake baking but otherwise my usual 4.5 mile walk on Monday and hopefully back to it on Tuesday - I genuinely can't wait.

notyummy · 01/03/2014 12:09

Bobs pure strength done this morning. Hard but good. 60 Second Promise yesterday and ripped on Thursday. Not sure about tomorrow. Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine.

2tiredtocare · 03/03/2014 10:01

6w6p L1D5 and 30DS L2 D9 done. Sorry about your dog threestep he looks like he was a cutie

EarSlaps · 03/03/2014 21:08

Good work 2tired!

Well, I just did L2 Killer and I am dripping with sweat. I probably managed maybe a quarter of the moves at advanced level but struggled with beginner for a few too! I hope I can walk tomorrow!

Hope everyone else is plodding along nicely Smile.

Jacksterbear · 04/03/2014 08:07

Well done everyone. EarSlaps L2 killer is hard and getting through it at all = good work!

knotty today's the day! Get back on it!

Feeling slightly discouraged as for the first time ever had to pause a Shaun DVD yesterday for a 2 minute breather, and then kind of limped to the end of the workout. Urghh. Was feeling knackered though and was attempting a pretty hardcore workout so I probably was being overly ambitious! At least I got to the end of it, though. Onwards and upwards today!

notyummy · 04/03/2014 11:17

Did NMTZ on Sunday and 45 mins on the cross trainer yesterday. Bobs Cardio today and plan a quick shred tomorrow and Bobs yoga on Thursday.

Shaun T is tough- no shame in needing a break!
