Thanks errol

I can't do it on YouTube as the pc is in the smallest room so no place there to excersice.
plus I couldn't look after DD there.

which is why I bought the DVD so I can do it in the living room, and she can either be in the playpen or climb on the sofa, on me, on the windowsill...Grin

ZingWantsCake · 18/09/2013 17:46

bump
thanks, I will start asap - I noticed people here are on different levels and days anyway (no shit Sherlock!Wink )

boo

get your arse in gear! is that better?Grin

PeppermintCream · 18/09/2013 17:48

I'm looking for level 2 on YouTube - would any of you share the link?

Bumpotato · 18/09/2013 18:00

Peppermint you have to keep pressing the next arrow to eventually get one. The first few are restricted. I got fed up and just got them on iTunes!

Are you the same peppermint creams as from "the pink place" ?

PeppermintCream · 18/09/2013 18:02

Thanks, I might just get it from iTunes. No I'm not from the pink place - I think there is also a peppermintcreams

ErrolTheDragon · 18/09/2013 18:20

zing - yeah, the tv is the only thing that works for me too. My DVD showed up really quickly from amazon with just the free delivery so hopefully yours won't be too long.

DorisShutt · 18/09/2013 19:47

L1D6 all done. Not actually as bad today thankfully.

BUT I'm having a bad body image day. I was exercising and just felt so flabby and cellulite-y! I can feel muscles that I couldn't feel before so I know things are moving underneath, but it just isn't shifting things on the outside. And I know it's not a quick fix, and a lifestyle change etc... but I want to be slimmer!!!! Gaaaaaah!!!! Sad

Anyway, rant over. Day 7 tomorrow!

ErrolTheDragon · 18/09/2013 19:51

Well done Doris.

Not sure if it was on this thread or another, but there has been some discussion to the effect that wearing decent kit - eg knee length leggings which keep your flesh in check is good for morale.

ZingWantsCake · 18/09/2013 21:49

dorris

you are 6 days ahead of me so well done!

I actually worry about loosing too much weight and my tummy looking like an inflated balloon!Sad

deeplybaffled · 18/09/2013 22:53

Level 2, day 6 done...and I am a fetching shade of maroon. Oh, the sex appeal!

L3D1 - quite enjoyed that. Have to do Anita walking planks and side planks, really can't do the travelling pushups so I did knee normal ones. And really can't do rock star jumps - my feet just don't get far off the ground. But apart from that...Grin

rubbishfamily333 · 19/09/2013 10:19

Hi everyone I'm joining the thread for support and inspiration!

Today I did level 1 day 4.

I did the shred before for 11 days straight and lost 1 inches off my hips and toned up a lot then stopped Confused

I would love to hear of others results to keep me going. Also is everyone dieting while doing the shred? I'm not at the moment as I have a lot going on right now and I'm not ready to diet right now.

Will I still get results without dieting??

ErrolTheDragon · 19/09/2013 10:53

welcome rubbish! (sorry, you chose your name!)

I'm doing 5:2 but think that the shred is the main thing altering me at in terms of tone and increased strength so I reckon its definitely worth doing without 'dieting'.

RippingYarns · 19/09/2013 12:11

the shred has given me a new lease of life!

might sound cheesy, but it's true.

i did L1 today, not tired, not achey, just had a shower and getting on with my day.

i can run upstairs, put my chin on my chest (instead of my chin/chest melding into one tyre of thick flesh) and move my arms up my back. none of which i could do before august Blush

i think i've got the hots for JM Wink

DorisShutt · 19/09/2013 20:20

L1D7.

And now Chinese takeaway and wine for dinner Blush

Sleepyhead33 · 19/09/2013 22:27

Late night at work lat night so no shredding. Think I needed a night off though. back on it tonight and actually managed to complete level 2 (day 7) without exchanging any of the moves-did do Anita versions mainly though.
the military press thing is definitely easier now. I am not wobbling about so much. Also the walking push up athe beginning. I can now dip down about an inch :)

I know what you mean ripping...I feel so much stronger already. Plus it is making me eat so much better-mainly as I can't stand all this hard work to be for nothing! I really need to lose weight though unlike some of you.

Enjoy the Chinese Doris-my favourite takeaway. Sooo jealous.

Errolthedragon, that has made me never want o do L3! Side planks, travelling push ups-eek. might just stay safe in my level 2 bubble for a while....

DorisShutt · 20/09/2013 06:11

Must admit, I nipped up the stairs at home yesterday and back down and realised that, once I was back down, I'd actually been quite speedy going up. We have a no running on the stairs rule as DS is only 3 (almost!) so it wasn't a full run, but it wasn't my usual "where's the bannister to drag myself up with".

I must admit though I have swapped out the jump rope cardio with butt-kicks as otherwise it knackers my knees, but hopefully JM wouldn't shout at me too much Wink

ErrolTheDragon · 20/09/2013 08:25

The anita side planks are fine, honest.

Doris, I think JM would shout at you if you did the jumps that knacker your knees 'no injuries!' - subbing lower impact moves, so long as you try to get the same sort of intensity, is entirely sensible.

ErrolTheDragon · 20/09/2013 13:12

Oh, forgot to update earlier - L3D2 done.

ZingWantsCake · 20/09/2013 14:08

can I get a WHOOP WHOOP?

My dvd arrived! yay!

ZingWantsCake · 20/09/2013 14:13

apart from dumbbells and a yoga mat what other equipment do I need?

I don't have sportsbra or a skipping rope.

I don't want to start the programme and find out halfway through I don't have anything I need.

maybe I should just watch it first - there's absolutely no instructions inside the dvd box.

RippingYarns · 20/09/2013 14:16

Zing - some good running shoes, the best you can afford really, but don't try to do it in bare feet

you don't need a sports bra, but they are useful, i bought a 2 pack from asda and wear a tight underwired one underneath

don't watch the dvd, DO the dvd Wink

ErrolTheDragon · 20/09/2013 14:24

you don't need a sports bra
speak for yourself! Depends on your norkage. Easy to test - can you do jumping jacks comfortably without one.

You don't need a skipping rope, you only pretend to skip thank goodness!

I think its worth running through each level using fast forward a lot to get anidea of the moves and the 'anita modifications'.

RippingYarns · 20/09/2013 14:28

oh Errol believe me, i need 2 Blush

i meant as a given, of course, norkage dependent

ZingWantsCake · 20/09/2013 15:56

thanks, I was going to use DS2's astroturfs (most comfortable shoes ever!)
but I remembered I have a brand new pair of Nike Air trainers - given as a present, but I haven't used them yet (others still good enough!)

can't do jumping jacks without boob clapping.
all I have is old bf bras - I know, I know, I stopped bf a few months ago and should have bought something since... [bad Zing]
I just never have the time for shopping for me
