Part 10 of our long running thread.

Not sure what to say, really, other than it is worse than I feared.

Strap in, folks. It's gonna be a rough ride...

But god knows what comes next if Truss resigns. Another bloody leadership election?? Not like, you know, anything more important happening in the UK right now. We’re like a rudderless ship in stormy waters.

Adam Ramsay has tweeted:
"Worth noting that this was all caused by Labour’s shadow Secretary of State for Net Zero & Climate Change bringing a vote on fracking.
This is, in other words, chaos with Ed Milliband."

Although minor in some respects the fact the home office (Patel followed by Braverman), has been deemed by lawyers that the retention of child migrants in hotels is unlawful. This among all the other messes means that the 'government' is under fire From all angles. I would suggest it is a good time for the UK to be invaded. A handful of 12 year olds armed with sandwiches that do not have the correct sanitary certifications would be enough.
Can anyone imagine a serious and 'humane' investor willing to invest in UK PLC now? I mean any company/corporation that would follow human rights laws so that it can easily export to the EU and worldwide. The UK is heading rapidly towards Myanmar on sea

Could be worse ...

Could be worse ...}
I wish you hadn't posted that. I have a degree of Aspergers and although pretty 'NT' most of the time I tend to be a bit literal at times and your post sent me into a whirlwind of obscure thoughts. I need a cup of coffee and a rest now. We can only wonder what excitement the Tories will 'unleash' today.

More brexshit winning

More brexshit winning

Leavers will be celebrating it as evidence of the doughty British bulldog Blitz Spirit! (Remember all that sloganeering? Halloween Grin)

DuncinToffee · 20/10/2022 13:40

Truss has resigned

prettybird · 20/10/2022 13:57

That presumably means that Sturgeon and Drakeford will never get to speak to TrussWink

Maybe the next PM will deign to talk to them Hmm

How relieved they must be!

HannibalHeyes · 20/10/2022 14:52

So tofu got rid of Cruella Braverman, and lettuce got rid of Truss.

Well done the vegetarians for stepping up their game, after leaving the pork pies to get rid of BoJo...

HannibalHeyes · 20/10/2022 14:53

And a message to CCHQ; When I say I can't imagine a worse PM than Liz Truss, please don't take it as a challenge as you did last time...

ILeclercreturn · 20/10/2022 16:10

Sorry a copy from another thread but the hedge funders will be happy as the Pound wobbles
Not many cat photos on here for ages but I hear that Larry has asked the buildings maintenance persons to install a 'person flap' at number 10 because it is getting chilly at night and the Prime ministers are causing a draught.

TheElementsSong · 20/10/2022 16:11

I don't suppose any Leaver will ever admit that all the rot started with their beloved Brexit.

ILeclercreturn · 20/10/2022 16:19

All that pampering, hair dos and whatever she did to look more like Thatcher hasn't done Truss much good, unless she qualifies for a PM's pension now.

But at least we can have fun pestering Brexiteers by asking them what Brexit freedoms they would most miss when we rejoin the EU. Because for a bunch that were allegedly "the majority" they ain't half insecure.

And until rejoin is an option, the Tories can hardly be accused of "thinking the unthinkable" can they ?

SerendipityJane · 20/10/2022 17:16

I imagine BoJo is the bookies favourite then ?

ILeclercreturn · 20/10/2022 18:01

The list of reasons for the EU not to let the UK rejoin gets longer by the day.
It started ad 'not much chance', then less chance now it must be near no chance.
That is if the EU bother thinking about the UK at all.
Well the k got a bit smaller today (temporarily) as Shetland has been cut off. Yet more intrigue.

And ask them how they feel about the anti-growth coalition given they’ve chopped 5% of GDP.

DuncinToffee · 20/10/2022 18:54

The Telegraph is already blaming Remainers for the Tory Party's downfall.

Is that because there were more remainers than leavers ?

I feel so powerful now.

DuncinToffee · 20/10/2022 19:11

And I don't even like tofu

ILeclercreturn · 20/10/2022 19:36

Not that I believe the rubbish in the daily fail in the slightest but having just looked I am curious. It has spent the last 4 years 'rubbishing the EU' and twisting any slight issue in any EU sovereign country as being a massive EU fail and concluding that the whole EU is about to collapse. Now it has lifted a whole load of clips from several EU papers/TV to say that the EU is mocking the UK. Quite bizarre really.
