But leavers definitely 100% are NOT thick as pig shit...

Motacilla · 14/02/2020 12:20

Oh Colin.

ExohExohGossipgirl · 14/02/2020 12:27

I was laughing at my cousins hubbie this morning posting how he is delighted that britain is now not part of europe anymore till i read this. Dumb as dogshit.

PortiaCastis · 14/02/2020 12:28

Haaa oh dear Colin but I'm laughing because I've got a Phd in I told you so, you nobnugget

HalfBiscuit · 14/02/2020 12:32

Hahahahaha

GoldenMarigolds · 14/02/2020 12:37

Has to be a parody, reverse, whatever.

I could be wrong but I thought nothing would change until the end of the Transition period? If so, why the separate Q now.

ExohExohGossipgirl · 14/02/2020 12:45

Because you are out of the EU now. YOu do not get to go in the EU queue. Why is this not sinking in?

Bearbehind · 14/02/2020 12:50

I could be wrong but I thought nothing would change until the end of the Transition period? If so, why the separate Q now.

Even if it hasn’t changed, why would someone who voted for the right to not be part of the EU join anything other than the non-EU queue now that we have officially left?

Other than because those people only want the parts of Brexit that suit them.

If it mildly inconveniences them then they choose to ignore the fact we’ve left and take advantage of the bits they liked

MysteryTripAgain · 14/02/2020 13:06

I pass through Schiphol twice per week. My UK/EU passport can be used at the self service scanner no problem. However, might change after 31 December 2020 depending on the outcome of negotiations?

Clavinova · 14/02/2020 13:07

Even if it hasn’t changed, why would someone who voted for the right to not be part of the EU join anything other than the non-EU queue now that we have officially left?

Because EU citizens still have freedom of movement into the UK during the transition period?

puds11 · 14/02/2020 13:08

Ah did we not vote for longer queues?? But we’re British...

Reallybadidea · 14/02/2020 13:10

That's pretty clearly tongue in cheek IMO.

EnjoyyourBrexit · 14/02/2020 13:30

The rest of his tweets suggest he is a hard Brexiter who hates cyclists. It's a good parody account if it is.

Someone suggested that Schipol were doing a test of the new post Brexit arrangements?

Bearbehind · 14/02/2020 13:30

Because EU citizens still have freedom of movement into the UK during the transition period?

But for many it was all about being able to say ‘we’ve left the EU’

So why on earth would anyone who supported Brexit stand in a queue that is specially for people from countries that are part of the EU when we have actually officially left?

Other than, as I said, because it’s more convenient for them on this occasion

MysteryTripAgain · 14/02/2020 13:36

I went through the Non EU line on 3 Feb as directed by staff at Schiphol only to be told by the guy who checked my passport that it was not necessary. Extra time was 12 minutes as I timed it out of interest.

Can't see 12 minutes bothering people much. Certainly nothing for the remainers to get excited about as it will affect them too in the future.

Clavinova · 14/02/2020 13:44

The New European magazine;

"The airport responded to Twitter comments saying: "New staff members were being trained yesterday, leading to longer queues at the passport control than usual."

mummmy2017 · 14/02/2020 13:47

If we don't reply to the unhappy leavers, then they won't get their fix of the blame game....

BothALarkAndAnOwl · 14/02/2020 13:59

"...nothing for the remainers to get excited about as it will affect them too in the future." Well, yes, of course it will. Doesn't mean we have to like it or stop getting "excited" about it.

Or is this another example of how we're meant to be getting behind Brexit? (Oh! I forgot! Dominic Cummings Our Dear Leader has told us not to use that word anymore.)

mummmy2017 · 14/02/2020 14:03

But we are all leavers now.

Worrieddad72 · 14/02/2020 14:07

Brexit supporter in thick-as-mince shocker

GCAcademic · 14/02/2020 14:14

Colin is also very angry because Sky Sports sent him a notification about women's netball. Poor little snowflake, I hope he finds a safe space to recover from his trauma.

ListeningQuietly · 14/02/2020 14:20

I'm a ReJoiner
its my preferred version of Brexit Grin

Mistigri · 14/02/2020 14:44

He hates cyclists and I bet if you scroll back far enough you'll find that he's not a fan of Greta.

You can almost always predict people's Brexit vote by their stance on climate change and cyclists Wink

MysteryTripAgain · 14/02/2020 14:49

@LQ

So start a campaign called Bre-Entry.

However, be aware that the script has already been drafted if a furhter referendum is called soon. It goes like this;

Remainers did not give Brexit sufficient time to take effect

EU are not obliged to accept UK's application. Although Malylis seems to think it has already been agreed?

Even if EU accepted UK's application they would be fools to offer the same terms as before.

Campaign to rejoin = Uncertainty

Uncertainty = Risk

Risk = Reduced inverstment

Reduced investment = reduced growth

Reduced growth = fewer jobs

Etc.,.......

Essentially leave supporters will say remain supporters are responsible for making UK worse off than before.
