Mumsnet does tie itself in knots about Brexit, doesn't it?
I understand that it must be hard to police such a hellishly emotive subject. I understand it must be hard to appear non-partisan.
But, tbf, shutting down 'debate' from both camps is worrying.
Please, MN, show some courage, here. There are inflamed passions, yes, from posters from either side of the 'divide'; but we can't ever 'come together' if all sides are censored.
You, MN, know who the hell-raisers are. Keep an eye, yes, but please don't censor, then shut down this debate. It needs to be had.
I could happily, viscerally slap some of the goady Leavers- but, apart from a few, I recognise that discourse must be had.
Yes, the 'Arms' became a goady, triumphalist place, and needed some 'intervention'. But some Remain stuff also probably needed some oversight. I'm probably guilty, too.
Passions run high.
