If the LD's had gone Tory in Blythe...
I think the LD and Labour people will be regretting not standing down in some places.

SheOfManyNames · 12/12/2019 23:34

TreesSandSea- Brexit. Whatever that means to them.

lonelyplanetmum · 12/12/2019 23:35

PotterHead1985 · 12/12/2019 23:36

Even in the two seats they have taken their majority has gone quite far down.

ConfusedDotty · 12/12/2019 23:36

TreesSandSea. Democracy? Yes?

TheMustressMhor · 12/12/2019 23:36

And watching that cow Kuenssberg gloating is beyond sickening.

RedToothBrush · 12/12/2019 23:36

I think the LD and Labour people will be regretting not standing down in some places.

Been obvious for months... even from before the election was called.

Does this forensic analysis matter? Surely the Cons have a majority. We're either leaving the EU with a shit deal, or No Deal.

Maybe we now need to, now 'accept' this, as much as to stop worrying about the losers, who are either us (sorry) or beyond our help.

There comes a time where people need to own this.

colouringinpro · 12/12/2019 23:37

TheMustress me too (((hugs)))

TreesSandSea · 12/12/2019 23:37

Yeah it would feel more like democracy if liars were held to account.

The Tories could have been defeated if all the Remain parties cared enough to cooperate

That is a decision I'd blame Corbyn for
He'll step down
and looks like Swinson will be booted out too

dreichXmas · 12/12/2019 23:38

@TreesSandSea, they get to win Brexit.

One of those large badly made toys that you win at a fair after spending four times what the toy is worth because your dc are desperate for it.
Only for them to get a close up look at it and realize it is a pile of tat they don't actually want.
So you end up carrying it home.

The80sweregreat · 12/12/2019 23:38

Tories always do well. We are not a socialist country. It's sad , but this is just history repeating itself.
Centre left politics go down better with people : Labour will have to lick their wounds and regroup.
It's the only way forwards.

prettybird · 12/12/2019 23:41

Motheroffourdragons - you are indeed at the front of the queue - and in fact, you have the spare room allocated Grin

QueenofThorns - I'll add you to the priority list Wink ....and have a word with the downstairs neighbours (GPs who work with the vulnerable rather than having a geographic practice and have a sign up in the window saying "Refugees Welcome") about using their half of the garden so that the capacity is doubled Smile

TiddleTaddleTat · 12/12/2019 23:41

Any theories about why the latest yougov MRP underestimated the scale of the Tory majority ?

colouringinpro · 12/12/2019 23:42

good question

pinboard · 12/12/2019 23:43

dreichXmas
that's a good description of Brexit as a crappy fairground toy.
I'd only add that when you get it home you realise it has fleas and is filled with sawdust mixed with manure and it makes you really really ill.

Apileofballyhoo · 12/12/2019 23:43

Centre left? Under Miliband Labour policies were nearly as far to the right as the Tories at the time. Labour didn't win then either.

pinboard · 12/12/2019 23:45

I'm off to bed.
Thanks for your company and all the brilliant points on these threads.
Good luck to those pushing on through x

chomalungma · 12/12/2019 23:47

On the bright side, we won't see Farage any more on the TV
