Beautiful moon, me dp and ds went to vote, small queue. Ds said his 3 student housemates are all Tory Sad when he asked why they all said they hated Corbyn.

Big queue for the voting booth most students would use, hope it's a good sign!

ArseDarkly · 12/12/2019 19:27

I meant polling station.. Brain is fried Confused

TheMustressMhor · 12/12/2019 19:29

Why, after spending the last two years eating healthily, and losing six stone as a result, do I suddenly want a huge pile of chocolate this evening?

TiddleTaddleTat · 12/12/2019 19:29

Feeling jittery here. Think I will try and nap a little and get up for the exit poll.
I am no good at napping however and have probably never napped in my life.

ChristmassySpice · 12/12/2019 19:29

Definitely seen more people at my polling station than usual (old person demographic / small village) however we still have a good incumbent Labour MP. My previous constitency was and so far is still a massive Labour hold with the wonderful Nick Brown.

I have about a 2kg bar of galaxy in the cupboard as well as ridiculous range of snacks and drinks... it's not going to help

Wow...well done mhor!

MarchionessOfCholmondeley · 12/12/2019 19:37

I heard "Things Can Only Get Better" on the radio at work today. Took me right back to the halcyon days of 02.05.1997.

It all seems so dim and distant now

Grinchly · 12/12/2019 19:38

I have to say that Manchester evening news piece about Terrence of Oldham melted even my cold stony heart.

Loved his rainbow rug !

Alsohuman · 12/12/2019 19:38

#youthquake is filling this old boomer’s heart with deep joy. The future is looking brighter.

Just made a batch of ginger biscuits. I just ate the first one. Of many.

Icantreachthepretzels · 12/12/2019 19:40

Last night I had a dream about that electoral map where the the constituencies are all little hexagons (I know Blush) - it was the map showing the final result - and it was massively red! Especially in the North West. The South East corner was still blue but it was tiny by comparison and located only in that part of the map apart from - would you believe it - my own frigging constituency was still blue Sad Angry Grin

I have had prophetic dreams before so ... #justsayin'

TheMustressMhor · 12/12/2019 19:41

Thank you stinkyeddie.

I may start to unravel and just go to the local shop and say fuck it I need chocolate tonight. (I won't actually say that out loud)

DH has already declined to go for me on the grounds that he never gets the chocolate I like. This is true but I could write him a list, couldn't I?

HoneysuckIejasmine · 12/12/2019 19:42

I've got some mulled wine and some chocolate fudge ready to go.

ClashCityRocker · 12/12/2019 19:44

Oh I have a Dh who even with instructions, never manages to get quite the right thing.

I'm having Christmas party food in an attempt to lend a festive air to the impending doom.

Lucygoeswalkies · 12/12/2019 19:44

Bercow is on Sky tonight? Bugger. I haven’t got Sky.

Very unusually I for me, I am feeling distinctly anxious. Hardly ever happens. I think my constituency will be ok (lean Plaid according to Yougov MRP), but unaccountably the Tories (who were thousands behind in 2017) are breathing down the neck of the LibDems (again, according to Yougov). I’m surprised, because it’s a fairly strongly remain area (54.6%).

BatSegundo · 12/12/2019 19:44

Flowers stinkyedie

TheMustressMhor · 12/12/2019 19:45

And it is strangely quiet in the B. Arms this evening.

And quite gloomy, too.
