I'm on night shifts but not sleeping very well
Handover is the usual "we're short nurses on the wards and doctors in A&E and we have minus 23 beds". I don't react much. You do what you can do, some nights it feels like the sorta war zone medicine I admired so much in med school but knew I wasn't tough enough for, other nights are not so bad
Everyone seems very depressed on here, though I can't really keep up
DP is being generally quite upbeat, he is following polls and stats quite closely and thinks it's all demoralising lies (I think he is also bouyed by how ALL his tory voting mates are refusing to vote tory this time). Maybe he is being upbeat to try and keep me going.
Under 35s seem unusually engaged to me this election, and I think modern methods of communication eg whatsapp/snapchat may help get out the vote, if that makes a difference
We have cancelled our bbc tv licence and sent a complaint, about the doctoring of videos and the refusal to hold the government to scrutiny. other countries are commenting on the bbc propping up the tories now. What a state of affairs.
two more night shifts then working long shifts right the way through to the election. I'm going to be crying with complete exhaustion on election night whichever way it goes.
