There are signs that traditional party alignment might well have broken.

The Tories have split, labour are pretending they have not.

The pattern so far seems to be closely following the EU. This favours a Tory majority.

A long way to go.

Labour is putting party interest first by trying to retain support by sitting on the fence with totally unconstructive ambiguity.

Whats ambiguous about it? [eye roll emoji]

Are there other things you find difficult to understand, turning on taps, driving a car, using a phone?

JustAnotherPoster00 · 10/11/2019 11:09

The majority of Conservative party
members polled said they:

✅ Oppose gay marriage.
✅ Support the death penalty.
✅ Support media censorship.
✅ Believe schools should focus on teaching kids to obey authority!

Tatiana Caroline Lucas said that about the Lib Dems and as she is part of a Remain Pact I thought it was worth sharing.

Just seen Boris laying a wreath at the cenotaph on the news and he looks a bloody mess, doubt the press will crucify him for it though. All the opposition leaders look smart.

Caroline Lucas on the Lib Dem’s, who she is in a pact with;

• Swinson putting Party interests above national interests

• Sending message to 17m people that they don’t ‘give a fuck’ what they say

Watch in full:

Butterymuffin · 10/11/2019 11:12

With the caveat that it's not about appearances, obvs, I'm watching the Cenotaph coverage at the moment and Corbyn is doing a far better job of looking prime ministerial than Johnson, who can't even do his fucking coat up.

thecatfromjapan · 10/11/2019 11:12

Totally agree, Red.

Just Very, very disturbing.
It's become nastier out there.

I suspect the abuser wasn't Jewish, or even sympathetic. Rugby had a Brexit Party vote of 40% in the EU elections & I think some of those voters use anti-semitism as an excuse.

I've experienced similar.

And before anyone says that's an excuse for the anti-semi tins issues in the LP - I'm the last to excuse it.

And before anyone leaps on me to say 'How dare you say that about the possible beliefs of the abuser,' I'll just repeat: that's just a speculation based on personal experience.

It's unbelievable that people think it's OK to attack people doing democratic stuff.

We've come to a nasty, nasty place.

I woke up this morning and thought, for the first time, very seriously about leaving the UK. ☹️

MockersthefeMANist · 10/11/2019 11:14

...and when it's all over, while the rest of the VIPs are hob-nobbing over free drnks in the foreign office, Corbyn is out talking to the old boys in berets and getting on like a house on fire. Not that you'll see that in the Daily Heil, ('hurrah for the blackshirts!')

Why I’m voting tactically for Labour in Leeds after 24 years loyal service to Tories – Dr Jason Aldiss

Just seen Boris laying a wreath at the cenotaph on the news and he looks a bloody mess He certainly does.

QueenMabby · 10/11/2019 11:29

With things like this occurring in our MSM is it any wonder the average voter (and I include myself in that number) don’t know which way is up??
I’m a floating voter. Over the last 25 years I’ve voted Tory, Labour, Lib Dem, Green and Independent in a variety of local, general and EU elections. One thing in common - I always vote.
I don’t know who I’m going to vote for this time. My remain-voting Tory MP isn’t standing (and I wouldn’t vote Tory this time anyway) so it’ll be either Labour or LD depending on candidate and who looks like they might have the best chance. Either way - it’s unlikely not to be blue on December 13th - massive majority. It’s all just such a bloody mess.

Whats ambiguous about it?

Neutrality is ambiguous.

If they win they want to renegotiate the WA and put it to a vote. At that point they will hold a conference to decide which side to back. We don’t know what that Brexit position will be because they don’t know either.

JustAnotherPoster00 · 10/11/2019 11:35

See you do get it

Superfluous

TatianaLarina · 10/11/2019 11:35

@Violetparis your post was clear that you were quoting Lucas.

Hoooo · 10/11/2019 11:36

Any idea when postal votes arrive?

TatianaLarina · 10/11/2019 11:43

Superfluous

It’s superfluous to know what the Labour Party official position would be on the most important issue facing this country since the war?

CendrillonSings · 10/11/2019 11:51

Labour’s Brexit position is the epitome of ambivalence and cowardice. First they desperately try to hang on to their Leave voters by pretending that they actually want to Leave, just with a better deal. But out of the other side of their mouth, they promise their Remain supporters that whatever new deal they get, they’ll campaign against it in a second referendum in favour of Remain.

It’s such a transparent ploy that both sides of their support should be insulted by Labour’s attempt to have it both ways and play them for fools. There comes a time when a leader has to choose and then to lead. Corbyn, naturally, does neither!

JustAnotherPoster00 · 10/11/2019 11:52

Labour unlike any other party currently are trying to represent everyone in the 52/48, so its likely that PLP MP's will be given a free vote, I hope they dont take a position as a party or you will have people voting the other way just because of Corbyn

JustAnotherPoster00 · 10/11/2019 11:53

Cendrillion does Russia pay you or is that just reserved for Johnson?

CendrillonSings · 10/11/2019 11:54

Just whatever Labour HQ is paying you, it’s too much! Grin

I’ve made a policy decision not to engage with the 17th century fairytale. Life’s considerably easier if you just ignore them.

bellinisurge · 10/11/2019 12:01

Over in The Arms they are saying Corbyn looked smart.
Just in case you forgot @JustAnotherPoster00 , equal marriage was introduced by a Tory government. I hate Tories but I have to give them that one.

TatianaLarina · 10/11/2019 12:04

No they’re not. They’re trying to hold the party together and to keep their voters onside by not revealing the small print until the contract is signed. This has of itself lost them voters.

They’re not trying to represent Jewish voters who have deserted them in droves.

Tory Party suffers backlash on plans to legalise gay marriage as members resign in mass protest

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2272248/Tory-Party-suffers-backlash-plans-legalise-gay-marriage-members-resign-mass-protest.html

Wonder if it would have been the same reaction by Labour members for such a progressive move
