Quite coincidentally I too have been in negotiations today regarding the pubs licence and it's good news here as well, a deal has been agreed!!

There were no amendments or legal objections put forward so a shiny new licence has been issued and normal service can be resumed Smile

Same rules apply.

Now let's hope Saturday's proceedings can go ahead without the usual dicking around and that what has been nigh on impossible during the last 3 years, a majority, can be achieved otherwise I feel we are off to hell in a handcart!

First drink is on the house 🍻🍷🍻🍷Cheers

I wonder if possible Letwin amendments will get a 2nd ref through tomorrow.

bellinisurge · 18/10/2019 16:25

"Best I can understand is that it is a good deal."

I think the clue is in the first four words

BertrandRussell · 18/10/2019 16:25

“ 'Dominic Raab hails a “cracking deal” for Northern Ireland because it will keep “frictionless access to the single market”'

Yep. This is even better than that bloke on Question Time inventing a United Ireland live on the telly.

Walkingdeadfangirl · 18/10/2019 16:33

bellinisurge
You wanted to avoid no deal. Why aren't you happy Boris has found a way to avoid it. Are you canvasing Labour MPs to support the new deal, its all in their hands now.

twofingerstoEverything · 18/10/2019 16:33

mustard - brave of you to admit you've changed your mind. I suspect a lot of people have. However, I'm fairly sure one of the Leavers will pop on soon to say something about 'project fear' or similar.

bellinisurge · 18/10/2019 16:38

@Walkingdeadfangirl , I support this deal. But don't kid yourself that I love Boris. He's shafted you all and you don't even know it.
I have written to my front bench Remain voting Labour MP to beg him to vote for the deal .
Just don't expect me to start loving the slimy twat and his nasty thick as pigshit cronies.

FadingStar · 18/10/2019 16:40

Mustard don't beat yourself up. There were a lot of lies told. Tbh, I talk to a lot of people who are Remain but never actually voted!! And now they're complaining!Confused I find those people more frustrating.

DustyDiamond · 18/10/2019 16:43

Well, I am prepared to get flamed hard now

No flaming from me Smile

Everybody voted their own way for their own reasons, each vote equally valid.

Some people have changed their minds from each side, many haven't.

Everybody is welcome in the Brexit Arms!

howabout · 18/10/2019 16:47

Mustard why are you so attached to the Union? Also what makes you think the Deal makes any difference to the position in Scotland or N Ireland? SNP have been agitating for Indyref2 practically since day 1 of losing Indyref1. Stormont being suspended is nothing to do with Brexit.

Walkingdeadfangirl · 18/10/2019 17:28

I wonder why the SNP are really against this deal?

Back in 2014 they were planning on leaving the UK and the EU and fingers crossed join the EU as an independent country.
Now when UK leaves the EU the SNP still wants to leave the UK and join the EU.

Seems to me they are just hypocrites and facing both ways.

DustyDiamond · 18/10/2019 17:41

Quelle surprise... 🙄

Brexit blocking, grandstanding dickhead MPs now dicking around to trash the deal.

Letwin as per usual crapping all over things

Parker231 · 18/10/2019 18:04

Wouldn’t want to be an MP - vote in favour of an appalling deal which is to the detriment of the UK or end up with a no deal which is even more of a disaster. I hope people soon wake up to realise what they have had with the benefits of the current arrangement.

howabout · 18/10/2019 18:15

Letwin and co need to get the votes to block the Deal and have a 2nd Ref or sort themselves out. Who in their right minds whether Leave or Remain thinks anyone in the UK or EU wants any more endless hours of them yes but no butting.

Even if you were 2nd Ref minded surely you would see how 2 faced this looks to an electorate you would be hoping to persuade?

Anyhow just popped in to have a wee drink on Jo. Doing a great job keeping the Scottish courts to the fore. He'll never cope if we go full Indy. Wine

frumpety · 18/10/2019 18:44

In a year's time how will you rate it's success?

IF the WA passes we will still be in , so you really need to look far further ahead, once we have done the actual leaving bit. So after December 2020 really.

Sunnyuplands · 18/10/2019 18:46

Pp saying this has exposed mps who are un democratic. Your right.

As for the yes... But no

Confused the whole of parliament has turned into a vicky pollard sketch.

Very telling, the sad resignation of junker... I

Sunnyuplands · 18/10/2019 18:47

His resignation and acceptance should have been emotionally resolved years ago when the vote won.

Let's hope everyone else who doesn't want brexit has that same resolve.

DustyDiamond · 18/10/2019 18:49

😂😂😂 Cheers! 🍷

What a twat he is.

Letwin's amendment basically makes the motion indicative - and in that case, why would opposition MPs risk defying the whip for nothing?

He really is a bellend

Dusty01 · 18/10/2019 18:50

I’m in a very similar position to you Mustard. I voted leave too and sorely sorely regret it.

dirtyrottenscoundrel · 18/10/2019 18:53

Who is this Letwin person?
I can’t believe I’m living in a country that has so many tossers in it.

frumpety · 18/10/2019 18:55

Well I say after December 2020, but in reality I think if the WA squeezes through parliament with the width of a fart, come June next year the UK will be requesting an extension to the transition period, a year or two will be granted to allow for negotiations. So after December 2021 or 2022 will be when we get a real feel for the outcomes of Brexit.

I think the WA will lose by the skin of its teeth, but don't think this will be the absolute last time it is presented to Parliament.

Had to laugh at someone interviewed on the radio who suggested that a Corbyn government would be worse than a bad deal, if Labour won a GE , Corbyn would be toast, give him 8 weeks max at the helm.

Dusty01 · 18/10/2019 18:56

But you are one of those tissues.

Dusty01 · 18/10/2019 18:56

Toddlers sorry. You are a tissue aswell

Dusty01 · 18/10/2019 18:57

My phone will not write the word

Limitedsimba123 · 18/10/2019 19:00

Is any one worried about changes to Level Playing Field commitments, as per twitter thread from Faisal Islam (BBC economics editor)?

Parker231 · 18/10/2019 19:02

Letwin has gathered significant support. Shows how low the trust is in Boris
