If we end up with a no deal exit as opposed to remaining in the EU, how will I benefit?

twofingerstoEverything · 27/09/2019 18:03

I'm sure someone will be along soon, Parker, to tell you that the benefit is intangible and will not be felt for 10, 20, 50, 100, whatever years and the problem with remainers is that they don't want to suffer, unlike the brave Brexiteers who are prepared to die for the cause like this idiot

jasjas1973 · 27/09/2019 18:23

If Remain is on the ballot then it would not be valid unless it exceeded the bar set by 2016 ref

Why do you keep trotting out this rubbish? that is not how elections or votes work, you do not appear to want to compromise and that is the problem in the HoC and the country.

Regardless, the WA is not a 'deal' - it is a transitional arrangement which provides time to negotiate the 'deal'

Yawn! yes yes we all know this, the time table was agreed at the very start and its exactly what johnson may or may not get...

Put it to the public? a confirmatory vote, followed by a GE.

A GE first could just lead to more stalemate and anger, Angela Rayner received a message from a serving soldier that she will be killed in the forth coming civil war.

DustyDiamond · 27/09/2019 19:05

you do not appear to want to compromise*

I've repeatedly and explicitly stated my wish for compromise.

The extremist, anti-compromise positions in this Brexit debate are: no-deal & no-Brexit

Put it to the public? a confirmatory vote, followed by a GE.

Put the transition arrangements to the public?

Surely it's the final deal that should be put to the public if anything?

Unless you'd like a separate ref for every step of the way?
(A ridiculous notion.)

We have a representative democracy & it is up to MPs to navigate Brexit.

Direct democracy was utilised for the existential question (Leave Or Remain) and we delivered an instruction for our representatives to enact on our behalf.

DustyDiamond · 27/09/2019 19:08

Angela Rayner received a message from a serving soldier that she will be killed in the forth coming civil war.

Then he will likely be disciplined & dishonourably discharged via a courts martial as well as being dealt with by civilian police.

The hatred & violent rhetoric is prevalent from all sides in this & is disgusting.

bellinisurge · 27/09/2019 19:12

Before I get jumped on and shouted at by the uncompromising posters, I'll run a suggested compromise past you: NI made a special economic zone - customs alignment and single market alignment with EU. Border in the sea. All the economic benefits stay in NI .

jasjas1973 · 27/09/2019 19:12

The final trading relationship, even if any WA was signed tomo, is 2 or more years away, Canada took 7 years and we are a far bigger economy and will have fishing & Gib to sort out.

S.Barclay isn't over there negotiating a FTA.

I thought you knew this stuff.

DustyDiamond · 27/09/2019 19:15

S.Barclay isn't over there negotiating a FTA.

Confused Who said he was?

DustyDiamond · 27/09/2019 19:17

Bellini you've run variations on that past posters on these threads loads of times now.

Do you just not bother to read the replies?

jasjas1973 · 27/09/2019 19:19

Before I get jumped on and shouted at by the uncompromising posters, I'll run a suggested compromise past you: NI made a special economic zone - customs alignment and single market alignment with EU. Border in the sea. All the economic benefits stay in NI

what about the rest of the UK ?

bellinisurge · 27/09/2019 19:43

And yet no one comes up with a GFA friendly alternative. If someone can, I'd be delighted.Whereas all I hear is fake interest in NI as an indivisible part of the Union and how Scotland can't be "given ideas" 😂

DustyDiamond · 27/09/2019 19:49

Well I agreed with you on a previous thread 🤷🏻‍♀️

bellinisurge · 27/09/2019 19:52

And so why aren't you lobbying for it instead of going on about how mean people are to Leavers. It's a solution that gets you Brexit. Why aren't you jumping at it? Why aren't you telling your MP? Why aren't you running with it on here.
Could it be that whinging about how no one understands Leavers is more important to you than actually Leaving.

DustyDiamond · 27/09/2019 20:07

And so why aren't you lobbying for it instead of going on about how mean people are to Leavers.

Confused Lobbying who?

As I told you on a previous thread I wrote to my MP to tell him to vote for it

I wrote before each vote, he voted against twice & for it the last time.

bellinisurge · 27/09/2019 20:10

And on here? This is the Brexit Arms. Apart from whiny people like me popping on to slag off No Deal, Leavers generally come on here and congratulate each other. They'd listen to you.

DustyDiamond · 27/09/2019 20:14

Could it be that whinging about how no one understands Leavers is more important to you than actually Leaving.

Do you ever bother to actually read what people post?

I am entirely consistent with my support for compromise & a deal over no deal.

I couldn't give a fuck if you 'understand leavers' or not.
I'll happily draw attention to the double standards of remainers & their selective & manufactured outrage though.

jasjas1973 · 27/09/2019 20:21

Then he will likely be disciplined & dishonourably discharged via a courts martial as well as being dealt with by civilian police

Not good enough, need to be looking at the causes.

The hatred & violent rhetoric is prevalent from all sides in this & is disgusting

The direction of travel is predominantly from the far right toward the remainers.

I think its not unrealistic to get to a stage where social media will be trawled to find out who supported remain.

We've already had Priti Patel say food exports should be used against ROI and that EU citizens should be denied NHS treatment in a no deal brexit.

bellinisurge · 27/09/2019 20:29

Jesus,@DustyDiamond . I don't give a shit what you think of me. It beggars belief that you are wasting time posting about tedious old arguments.

frumpety · 27/09/2019 20:39

I'm not sure no Brexit can be described as extremist, given it is where we are now and have been for many years. No Brexit is the mundane, the ordinary and the boring.
You might want something else, but no Brexit is by no means extremist, more dull and Tuesdayish Dusty Smile

Lonelycrab · 27/09/2019 20:49

I am entirely consistent with my support for compromise & a deal over no deal.

But there is no prospect of a deal is there? Bj doesn’t want one surely you must understand. Ask his sister? How about JRM or Banks n fargage (sounds like a drum and bass Smile)

No they’re going to be minted but best not talk about that.

So by default you want no deal, I guess you must be very wealthy and well insulated.

DustyDiamond · 27/09/2019 20:56

Jesus,@DustyDiamond . I don't give a shit what you think of me

I've never expected you too to give a shit!

DustyDiamond · 27/09/2019 20:58

I guess you must be very wealthy and well insulated.

Nope.
Single mum on benefits at the mo.

Lonelycrab · 27/09/2019 21:02

So Dusty, tell me,

How does BJ and all his rich backers shorting the pound, plus JRM moving his money from our country to make more from its demise square with improving the lives of so many people that are struggling, alongside big increases in the cost of everything to the average person?

Where does this utopia come from?Hmm

Things don’t add up, do they?

Lonelycrab · 27/09/2019 21:04

Well single dad running a struggling business so cheers to that if nothing else

Imnotthrowingawaymyshot · 27/09/2019 21:06

Jas your so disingenuous.

Bellini I don't know how you perceive mn but it's just a chat forum.
It beggars belief that your always on here, what are you trying to do?
Do you think your endless posts could really convince the handful of leave posters who can be bothered to post on here anymore that we should do what you say?
