I don’t think they will agree to a three month extension but would propose two years.

parker did you what today’s half a press conference?

Battel was adamant that there would be no extension unless it was for a reason and that the people of the EU needed certainty, not never ending extensions.

Given anyone of the 27 can veto an extension it’s by no means certain to happen even if the UK requests it.

It really is looking like no deal because BJ won’t shut up about removing the backstop from the WA, which isn’t going to happen so there are no other options.

If he hadn’t tried his Billy Big Bollocks routine he might have been able to secure a fudge that could get through but I can’t see how that’s possible now.

mummmy2017 · 16/09/2019 17:11

What anyone thinks now is of no account.
Parliament has pushed us too this.
Watching Boris on BBC news..

We leave 31st Oct.

Parker231 · 16/09/2019 17:15

And putting my hopes on Barnier and Juncker and their influence. We can’t have a no deal. Boris is an idiot and he, Parliament and the leave voters will have to have to face the consequences. Unfortunately I don’t think Mummmy cares.

jasjas1973 · 16/09/2019 17:39

Johnson says a lot on TV but he is not above law.

bellinisurge · 16/09/2019 17:52

I'd say the Johnson devotion is weird. But I think Mummy passed weird a long time ago.

Bearbehind · 16/09/2019 17:53

What anyone thinks now is of no account.
Parliament has pushed us too this.

You’ve always wanted no deal mummmy

What do you honestly think when you look at the real peoples who’s lives it’s affecting on that other thread?

Bearbehind · 16/09/2019 17:54

And putting my hopes on Barnier and Juncker and their influence. We can’t have a no deal.

Well technically we can.

And the EU have nothing more to give with our red lines.

Parker231 · 16/09/2019 17:56

Maybe we can if Boris breaks the law but realistically for social and economic reasons we can’t. No one should be putting that onto any citizen and why would they want to?

Bearbehind · 16/09/2019 18:02

No one should be putting that onto any citizen and why would they want to?

I have no idea but as mummmy repeatedly demonstrates, those who support no deal don’t give a shiney shite about the consequences and they are still supporting BJ more than any other party so where’s the β€˜out’ going to come from?

placemats · 16/09/2019 18:04

The Johnson pinned his hopes on Luxembourg, he blew it.

I'm thinking he's thinking:

He who fights and runs away gets to fight another day.

Except in this case Johnson you're busted.

jasjas1973 · 16/09/2019 18:06

I think the Luxemburg PMs anger at the UK Govt is just the start.

We are deliberately causing significant damage to the EU economy, a form of sanction against our friends, individual european citizens will be affected.

In another era, this would have been an act of war, it will not be forgiven by the countries affected.

Bearbehind · 16/09/2019 18:23

I think the Luxemburg PMs anger at the UK Govt is just the start

I think you’re right. I also think it’s just the first public demonstration of it; behind closed doors I bet they are much more vociferous about their discontent.

You can see why they aren’t keen on any kind of extension - we’ve wasted the last 2, each time assuming we’d get what we wanted because were so special.

Battel is right, what we need is certainty, not another extension.

mummmy2017 · 16/09/2019 18:31

Bear have you ever watched a program and known what the end will be.
You sometimes seem to see it.
That there will be no deal on the table as both want different things.
Then your back to saying something , I know no longer care I just want out.

Parker231 · 16/09/2019 18:34

Why are you continuing to support a no deal?

jasjas1973 · 16/09/2019 18:36

I know no longer care I just want out

No way!!!! you can't say why, you can't say what benefits there will be, you don't a fcuk about the fragility of the GFA and you certainly don't give a fcuk about any UK citizen affected.

All in all a model citizen.

mummmy2017 · 16/09/2019 18:49

My vote, I use it how I WANT.
Your scoring a lot of home goals this month and can't see it.

Parker231 · 16/09/2019 18:56

What home goals?

mummmy2017 · 16/09/2019 19:00

All the court cases.
The votes.
The no election.
Then rent a mob.
All play out as remain being bullied.
Remain think they are wins.
Leaver are shocked at just how far remain will go to get their own way.
But the silent majority who swing votes, they just see their votes being ignored and the polls will reflect this.

jasjas1973 · 16/09/2019 19:00

Yep my DD was abit like that... when she was 4.

bellinisurge · 16/09/2019 19:00

Using your and you're properly πŸ˜‚

Bearbehind · 16/09/2019 19:02

I know no longer care I just want out.

And that’s exactly why we’re in this mess.

You’ve seen the harm it will and is already causing and you simply don’t give a toss.

Logic or reason can’t fight this so you’ll likely get what you want.

I only hope you pay the price.

Parker231 · 16/09/2019 19:04

Nothing you have said is any reason to be supporting a no deal exit. It will affect people from day one.

Dinosauratemydaffodils · 16/09/2019 19:18

I know no longer care I just want out.

That's pretty much how all my friends and family now feel about the other Union. My dh's Grandfather was killed in the troubles. The ripples of that one (of many) acts of violence are still being felt in dh's family and community over 40 years later and to have that fragile peace risked for this...

mummmy2017 · 16/09/2019 19:23

Do you know what the constant tone of this thread is.
It is not fair. I don't like having my vote go the wrong way. Anything goes so long as it goes my way.
Yet still here it is last 50 days and still no deal looms.

Parker231 · 16/09/2019 19:26

Mummmy - how you voted is now irrelevant. The issue now is the future which you blatantly don’t care about.
