But I do care
Why should I want to be trapped in Neverland for ever just too please remain.

Parker231 · 16/09/2019 19:40

So what positive changes should I be expecting from 1 November?

mummmy2017 · 16/09/2019 19:42

Well you can stop your moaning about staying in the EU

Bearbehind · 16/09/2019 19:47

It is not fair. I don't like having my vote go the wrong way. Anything goes so long as it goes my way. Yet still here it is last 50 days and still no deal looms.

Yes and here you and all the other hard core Leavers are, preening about their success despite the fact that

a) you can’t articulate a single benefit of leaving

b) you’ve seen examples of how real people are going to be affected by this

You know that β€˜special place in hell’ the Tusk mentioned - well, it should apply to all those who voted Leave.

Lucindainthesky · 16/09/2019 19:47

I hate how leavers like to use the word moaning. Remoaners. It's so belittling to those with genuine fears.
My DH is an insulin dependent diabetic. Is my worrying about his health post brexit "moaning"?

Septembersunrays · 16/09/2019 20:38

Has anyone posted, seen guys new quote.

Preaching for eu empire, defending eu way of life... And talking up the need for the army again.

Septembersunrays · 16/09/2019 20:42

Parker you should be looking forward to having our own money, to spend for where its needed. Not taken off us and re branded.

You should look forward to none of our money chucked into vortex of corruption and waste.

You should look forward to never having to worry about who the hell these eu officials are... What they talk about... And only having to concern yourself with UK level government.

In economic storm our government can worry solely about us and how to navigate out without being tied to countries with vastly different aims and needs.

Jason118 · 16/09/2019 20:46

@Septembersunrays In economic storm our government can worry solely about us and how to navigate out without being tied to countries with vastly different aims and needs
You mean, like we can already?

Parker231 · 16/09/2019 20:50

There is corruption and waste in the UK - remember the MP’s expense scandal?

There will be less investment and money into the economy as jobs and funding are already leaving the UK.

Trade deals will take years to agree and will be on less preferable terms that we enjoy now. The supply chain will struggle which will increase the risks to employment. This I know about as already one of my clients is moving out of the UK. All the UK jobs will be lost as the employer wants to be EU based as it easier for their trading.

The UK will lose the freedom of movement of people and frictionless trade. It will take a generation to recover.

Septembersunrays · 16/09/2019 20:56

I've never understood the logic of that sort of argument Parker..

The UK gov is corrupt, so let's have an additional layer of corruption and have moreHmm

Bearbehind · 16/09/2019 21:02

september have you read the thread about how this is affecting some people?

How do you square that with your conscience when nothing the EU does affects anyone you can name?

Parker231 · 16/09/2019 21:03

The running and structure of the EU is nothing compared to the losses to trade, industry, investment, research. The UK will become isolated in its trading and future opportunities

Parker231 · 16/09/2019 21:10

We will loose the free movement of goods, services, capital and labour. How can that be replaced or replicated when the UK leaves?

yellowallpaper · 16/09/2019 21:12

Interesting view on the radio today about how the world economy is more Asia and Africa focused and away from older established economies.

Parker231 · 16/09/2019 21:18

ec.europa.eu/trade/policy/countries-and-regions/negotiations-and-agreements/

The EU is covered with trade deals or policies across the world including Asia and Africa. The UK will have to start from scratch.

frumpety · 16/09/2019 21:28

We won't revoke. care to bet on that Mummy ?

jasjas1973 · 16/09/2019 21:31

September

We should address UK corruption first because that affects us the most directly, its noble you care so much about abuse of power in other countries but ultimately, its up to them so sort out.

Diving trying to fix other countries when we have little say in independent countries affairs is rather pointless.

Septembersunrays · 16/09/2019 21:36

Jas I don't understand why you separate the states in the eu when they are all in it together.

It's far easier for the UK journalists, political commentators etc, us the public to keep an eye on our direct government than have two layers of government.

Septembersunrays · 16/09/2019 21:37

Parker very glib attitude to uk money there!

Parker231 · 16/09/2019 21:39

What about the loss of the freedoms - September?

frumpety · 16/09/2019 21:41

There are only a handful of people in the UK at this time who could pull off revoke and live well (to tell the tale) , Boris is number one, hence why he is where he is. Good old 'Hulk says smash it' , five go mad in Dorset, Boris the flop haired, bumbling Eton school boy.

Leavers, are you sure he is the man for you ?

frumpety · 16/09/2019 21:50

And remember the man who is currently bending the PM's ear , doesn't think you are awfully bright, having been taken in hook, line and sinker by his campaign, which to give him his due was spectacularly brilliant. I reckon its up there with 'clunk, click, every trip' in its ability to effect the mortality rate in the UK. Still clever rich chaps are always better than the rest of us

Aren't they ?

Dinosauratemydaffodils · 16/09/2019 22:03

In economic storm our government can worry solely about us and how to navigate out without being tied to countries with vastly different aims and needs.

So do you support the breakup of the United Kingdom given one thing Brexit has demonstrated is that it's constituent parts have very different aims and needs?

Clavinova · 16/09/2019 22:08

The EU is covered with trade deals or policies across the world including Asia and Africa. The UK will have to start from scratch.

We agreed another trade deal last week;

"Britain initialled an Economic Partnership Agreement with the Southern African Customs Union (SACU) - comprising South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, and eSwatini (formerly known as Swaziland) - and Mozambique"

uk.reuters.com/article/uk-britain-africa-trade/britain-agrees-post-brexit-trade-deal-with-southern-africa-idUKKCN1VW1N5

We have already signed agreements with over 40 non-EU countries;

Liz Truss is touring New Zealand, Australia and Japan this week;

AuldAlliance · 16/09/2019 22:33

According to your link, Clavinova, trade with the Southern African Customs Union in 2018 was 0.75% of total UK trade.
