Bottom line is this is a huge week in politics and dictates a lot of what will happen,
There are many things going on, a legal challenge to prorogueing parliament, a possible motion to allow MPs to sit longer, a potential to get no deal legislation through and require an extension, and a likely but not inevitable move to a general election, depending on what occurs.
It really has become very very explosive in a way it wasn't with Teresa May who was much more moderate in her approach. Boris is playing extreme hard ball with all comers, be it the eu, or mps who rebel.
He doesn't want no deal. There is a lot of outcry and supposition, he's said he doesn't wish to have no deal, and he thinks the eu will capitulate at the eleventh hour,,, but that's a huge risk.
He certainly doesn't want to be Teresa May and be forced into asking for an extension, so he will take the risk over a general election if it comes to it. The eu are saying they may remove him deadline themselves of Oct 31 to take away the risk. I suspect thEy will if we move to a general election.
Right now he doesn't have a majority to make anything stick. A general election with all leaver mps could give him that power to get it done.
This week is beyond critical, but it's going to a be a roller coaster between now and October.
