Is there any space for leaver on here?

Just interested... I wanted to chat...

You misread the mood.
You were sat in your little world and all was well.
But the person unemployed and in bad rental housing with no money , is and has voted, you have no choice, you have no way to change this....

Isthisafreename · 19/07/2019 11:24

@mummmy2017 - If food prices do go up, then the benefits will have to rise as they are linked.

Do you really think that if unemployment increases and government revenue decreases, the tory government would increase benefits? Where do you think the money for that will come from? Do you think the government actually cares enough about the poor to ensure they are not hungry?

mummmy2017 · 19/07/2019 11:26

I would hope they will.
But this is happening, we are going to find out....

1tisILeClerc · 19/07/2019 11:27

{But the person unemployed and in bad rental housing with no money , is and has voted, you have no choice, you have no way to change this....}

Well you will be delighted to know that it is due to get a whole lot worse.
Boris has been proposing tax cuts, for the wealthy, guess who will be paying for them?
Unemployed? With the likelihood that zero hours contracts, many of which fail to establish a practical living wage, will continue and probably be expanded. So far BoJo and Hunt have said nothing that will help the low paid. It has been 'Tory' policy forever, and they won't be starting now, especially as they are wasting many Billions unnecessarily to 'Brexit'. Leavers have backed the wrong horse.

mummmy2017 · 19/07/2019 11:31

Worse will mean big changes.
People voted for them.
Which means many things now have to happen because they must....

Peregrina · 19/07/2019 11:33

What puzzles me is what the smug Tories of the south east who voted for Brexit want out of it? They can't all be hedge fund managers and tax dodgers wanting to avoid some inconvenient EU legislation which will let them hide their wealth. Not many of them will be unemployed with few life chances, so why?

1tisILeClerc · 19/07/2019 11:36

{People voted for them.

If it means you lose your house, car and job, that sounds like a good deal to me. Enjoy your 'change'.

sionnachbeag · 19/07/2019 11:37

Change will happen for the worse.

The loser vote that leave cultivated will be far worse off.

And still blame someone else.

ContinuityError · 19/07/2019 11:37

It should worry you, that people voted for change because now is so bad....
Because it means you got it wrong.

So the Tory government austerity policy was the fault of Remainers?

But 63% of those very Tory voters who elected the Tory government who created austerity are the ones that voted Leave?

And why do you think Remain voters should shoulder this blame yet Leave voters get a free pass on the effects of their vote “because that’s for politicians to sort out”?

Weird.

mummmy2017 · 19/07/2019 11:37

I think it was the wedge effect..
The younger you are the less likely to vote and you vote remain.
There are more older people, they registrar to vote they in higher numbers and vote leave...
The sheer numbers of older mean leave won.

Isthisafreename · 19/07/2019 11:39

@mummmy2017 - I would hope they will. But this is happening, we are going to find out....

What makes you hope they will? Is that based on facts and history or is it just a vain hope that they will have an epiphany? If you look at their history and policies, it's apparent they don't care about the poor. Why do you think that will change?

DGRossetti · 19/07/2019 11:42

This popped up in my inbox today ... kinda fits in the flow of things ...

All threads in brexit seem to anti brexit? Mn is usually balanced... Were are pro b threads?
mummmy2017 · 19/07/2019 11:44

As I said hope.
Once more I have no plan .
I am not in the government.

sionnachbeag · 19/07/2019 11:46

what do we want? Changes!

What do you want to change? We don't know.

prettybird · 19/07/2019 11:46

As I posted earlier, there is no point arguing with the ignorant.

mummmy2017 · 19/07/2019 11:46

DGRossetti, that applys to you as well.
You pretend to care about the poor, so long as your pension, house and job are not effected..

DGRossetti · 19/07/2019 11:47

"When do you want change ?"

Now !

sionnachbeag · 19/07/2019 11:56

"You pretend to care about the poor, so long as your pension, house and job are not effected"

Never seen any evidence of this.

Nor is brexit going to impact the poor positively.

What jobs are coming their way? What increases in spending on services and education?

Why do you think a campaign led by the public school elite, backed by billionaires and those who think the British are lazy will benefit the poor?

1tisILeClerc · 19/07/2019 11:58

{You pretend to care about the poor, so long as your pension, house and job are not effected}

Only the terminally stupid can think that by making EVERYBODY* poorer will improve the chances of those who already have very little.

*Of course those who are already very rich will benefit from the Tory tax cuts for higher earners.

mummmy2017 · 19/07/2019 12:02

Look back on the threads, not just this one
Loads made comments about how Brexit will cost them personally.
As said let us see what wednesday will bring.

DorisDaysDadsDogsDead · 19/07/2019 12:02

Frankly I'd say that it's mummy who is only pretending to care about the poor. Everything we can shows that the will be worse off after Brexit, yet she keeps wittering on about "change" as if there is only such a thing as good change.

The stupid! It burns!

jasjas1973 · 19/07/2019 12:09

Loads made comments about how Brexit will cost them personally

Another load of rubbish... i follow these threads and few if anyone talk of personal loss.

Much more about cultural and economic loss affecting the UK generally, house owning middle england MNs will survive brexit.

mummmy2017 · 19/07/2019 12:11

Any way you play it Wednesday will bring changes, and so will The day we leave .

Isthisafreename · 19/07/2019 12:12

@mummmy2017 - As I said hope.

I hope I win the lottery. But I'm not planning anything around that hope as I have realistic expectations.

bellinisurge · 19/07/2019 12:14

"But the person unemployed and in bad rental housing with no money , is and has voted, you have no choice, you have no way to change this...."
Are you from the UK, @mummmy2017 . That doesn't sound like a statement from someone who regularly speaks English.
