Looking for some lighter brexit relief by fellow leavers... Every thread I've glanced at seems to be dominated by renainers?

Is there any space for leaver on here?

Just interested... I wanted to chat...

Or are they just half cut?

TheElementsSong · 18/07/2019 16:28

Well they are consessions to the UK from the EU so are entirely at the EU's discretion as to when they will end. They are not really 'deals' at all.

Well, you know that and I know that, but do the Willy of the People know that? And importantly, what do the Willy of the People think about these little "stains" upon the pure unsullied Clean Blank Sheet of True Brexit? Grin

ShatteredBrianne · 18/07/2019 16:28

No mummy, just a realist who "tells it like it is". Thought you'd appreciate that.
Have you always been obtuse? And slippery when it comes to direct questions? Do you struggle with life generally or do you just not think about it?

sionnachbeag · 18/07/2019 16:30

I think mummy just struggles in general, with grammar, critical thinking, economics. Just a repeater of soundbites

mummmy2017 · 18/07/2019 16:34

And I think you have been told your right so many times on your views , your totally failing to see what IS happening.. .

TheElementsSong · 18/07/2019 16:36

Surely that makes them a cut above ?

GrinGrinGrin

ShatteredBrianne · 18/07/2019 16:36

Oh the irony, mummy

mummmy2017 · 18/07/2019 16:40

most powerful argument I’ve heard.

And what Mr Cameron thought about Brexit in February 2016: I will never argue that Britain couldn’t survive outside the European Union… Let me say again, if we can’t secure these changes, I rule nothing out.

bellinisurge · 18/07/2019 16:43

That's really the most powerful argument you have heard. What about this one ?

All threads in brexit seem to anti brexit? Mn is usually balanced... Were are pro b threads?
mummmy2017 · 18/07/2019 16:45

Yes that bit copied by accident about powerful, but you can't edit on here ..
But DC. Did say it when he was on his way pre referendum... Before Brussels sent him away with a flea in his ear.

bellinisurge · 18/07/2019 16:46

Check the date on the photo. Don't say you weren't warned.

mummmy2017 · 18/07/2019 16:47

Blair and Major said Could not Will...
And Blair has since changed his mind on this . ..

1tisILeClerc · 18/07/2019 16:50

{ I will never argue that Britain couldn’t survive outside the European Union}

That is not good enough. We were promised that the UK would be getting better deals, and a whole host of lovely 'goodies'.

Just 'survival' is complete shit. As members of the EU the UK was among the top few 'best' performers in the EU28, now you want to downgrade the UK to 'surviving'.

sionnachbeag · 18/07/2019 16:51

another soundbite about Cameron not getting anything out of the EU.

He got the vast majoirty of what he wanted, but that doesn't suit the narrative so leavers just make shit up and dimwits like mummy believe them.

mummmy2017 · 18/07/2019 16:54

Does it not strike you as odd, every time there has been a chance to stop this it fails .
Leave vote
Election...
Court cases
Both parties change of leader .
Marches.
Yet still here we are....

1tisILeClerc · 18/07/2019 17:06

{Does it not strike you as odd, every time there has been a chance to stop this it fails . }

Maybe because it is a seriously stupid idea and no one has the guts to say so and cancel Brexit?
Like any journey, if you are going out, you plan where you are going, make sandwiches and take a map (one you have decided where your destination is to be).
Currently the UK is standing on the doorstep, with a couple of wilting crusts and no idea where it is going or how it will get there.

twofingerstoEverything · 18/07/2019 17:08

I also think away from the news papers, these things are already in place, but where are the headlines in saying that

If I read a headline that said 'Don't Worry everyone: We have these things in Place' - followed by a comprehensive list of all the marvellous things that have been sorted out in advance, I think that would be a bloody brilliant and reassuring news story.

The Express and Mail would LOVE to run that story. Their reluctance to do so is therefore baffling... Hmm

DGRossetti · 18/07/2019 17:10

Does it not strike you as odd, every time there has been a chance to stop this it fails . Leave vote Election... Court cases Both parties change of leader . Marches. Yet still here we are...

Yes, still members of the EU ...

WhatdoImean · 18/07/2019 17:33

@DGRossetti

Wish there was an "upvote" button on here....

mummmy2017 · 18/07/2019 17:44

But in each case more people wanted this to continue than to stop....
Which means your views are not the main stream, but infact you are the minority.

ContinuityError · 18/07/2019 18:01

Yet what myself and others have always wanted is no deal.

Really? Not at all what the official Vote Leave (Johnson et al) were promising. I doubt many Leave voters thought the UK would be casting itself adrift.

The EU say they are ready for no deal.

I also think away from the news papers, these things are already in place, but where are the headlines in saying that

The UK is not ready for no deal - civil service prep was stepped down in April. No deal will stiff plenty of people in the UK.

Well done. What a prize you have “won”.

Remain voters are not “saw losers” - they’re fucked off at being dragged into this stupid pointless mess.

ContinuityError · 18/07/2019 18:05

Before Brussels sent him away with a flea in his ear

You really have no idea of the concessions Cameron achieved then.

1tisILeClerc · 18/07/2019 18:06

{Which means your views are not the main stream, but in fact you are the minority.}

Which current, valid, secret vote tells you this. The referendum was 3 years ago and rather more information has come to light. Do you suppose 17.4 Million will put their hands up to say they still want to leave without any definite plans?
When the workers at the factory near you are made redundant, will you be shouting in the street that you helped make them redundant?

mummmy2017 · 18/07/2019 18:12

You do know even May said no point returning a second referendum as leave would still win.
But hey let's not let that enter into it, as no one has n this Echo Chamber wants to admit the UK do want out.

pointythings · 18/07/2019 18:16

Oh, it gets more hilarious! So because May may have said Leave would still win a second referendum, that makes it gospel truth? If she really had a crystal ball that good, why hasn't she sorted a sensible Brexit? And if you have a crystal ball that good, can I have Saturday's Lottery numbers, please?

It has to be said, you're second to none for comedy value on these threads. Even more fun than WhollyFather
