I know this thread will get trolled and spammed with the usual suspects demanding answers from us.

But I'm hoping any leavers out there could ignore them and tell me how their feeling.

Right now I'm wondering who the hell is speaking out for us? It's gone very quiet....

There is some momentum from pro Europe voices... but aside from a damp squib march from farage..does anyone else think it's gone eerily quiet!!

Butterymuffin · 26/03/2019 21:53

there are also loads of hypocrisies said by EU that leave could call out or remain MPs

Again, such as...?

BlackeyedGruesome · 26/03/2019 21:54

What do you think the results would be of a no deal Brexit?

AssassinatedBeauty · 26/03/2019 21:54

"You really don't have any faith in the British public's need/want for a better future with British values at the centre".

It's not about what the British public need/want, it's about what is possible and what is likely. I would really love for your vision of the future to be likely, I really would.

I don't have a clue what insular has got to do with anything.

Hellenbackagen · 26/03/2019 21:54

And I tried to ask pertinent questions today. On another thread. I didn't vote so am still on the fence and invited remainers to educate me.

Most were horrible and rude . I wanted to know how the uk managed before the eu.

I wanted to know if it gave value for money and if so how
I wanted to know these things so
I could decide if there was another vote what to do.

I hid the thread after the first few vile
Answers. Given I had a stil birth the day of the vote I didn't pay much heed but my god I was shot down I flames for not knowing more by now.

I really had no interest- I'd just lost a
Baby girl and the results were in. No need for me to get involved o thought.
Then looked like another vote so asked a few pertinent questions and got hung drawn and quartered for daring to ask as such a late stage! Hid thread quick and will
Stick with first instincts for a leave vote should it happen!

BurpsandHustles · 26/03/2019 21:56

But where is the leave momentum?

No pun intended!!

Theresa may seem too be the only person actually vocally speaking out about breixit. And every morning on TV set to start at 7am pier's Morgan wakes me up... grilling various guests on why they are not listening too vote!!

He keeps stressing he's a remainer. But believes in democracy.

Where is the optimism... momentum..
Positive stuff about leaving gone.
Literally all well have is battle worn beleaguered t. May.

Farage saying to 50 pre paying part time marchers.... your not alone..

And pier's Morgan. . what can leavers do??

Soft brexit, happy to go with WA.

I thought the same for a while until I realised that the WA does not protect us from a very hard brexit at the end of the transition period.

GoFiguire · 26/03/2019 21:56

I like cake.

Ohjustboreoff · 26/03/2019 21:57

@Songsofexperience and why should it be easier to deal with EU over somewhere like China? I order from Asian all the time and the shipping time averages about a week. I ordered an outfit from Bulgaria a month ago and it's still not here.
We live in a glorious massive world with great transport links. Exploit them.

BlackeyedGruesome · 26/03/2019 21:58

Do you think there will be problems?

What can be done to alleviate these?

What do you think should be done about the Irish border?

It is really interesting to read the thread and see a range of opinions.

Do you think MP s will ever decide what they do want from leave instead of what they don't want?

TalkinPaece · 26/03/2019 21:59

@AssassinatedBeauty and that is why people like you will never be visionaries.

Mookatron · 26/03/2019 22:02

There's still no indication we won't leave. I don't know why you think remainers are feeling any more represented in Parliament because we're not. All anyone is talking about is respecting a bent, illegal referendum result.

All the brilliant remain stuff is made from hard work and fundraising. I've been donating what I can to it (and I earn a pittance). Admittedly this stuff should've been done before the referendum but seriously if you want stuff like marches and pithy sentiments on the leave side, do something yourself. Or yes look at that well known voice of the working classes, The Telegraph.

AssassinatedBeauty · 26/03/2019 22:02

No doubt! Not many people are. There's a fine line between being a visionary and being a fantasist too.

Ohjustboreoff · 26/03/2019 22:02

@TalkinPaece I try to buy local / British whenever possible which is a majority of the time.

grumpyyetgorgeous · 26/03/2019 22:02

*Where is the optimism... momentum..
Positive stuff about leaving gone. *

Perhaps it's up to people like you to start the process. We've got very bogged down in fighting each other and being angry at people with opposing views. Personally though I'd love to hear a bit of optimism and positivity about Brexit.

Unescorted · 26/03/2019 22:02

May's "deal" isn't a deal - it is a agreement to start negotiating a deal. I have seen Heads of Terms agreed on the back of a fag packet with more certainty.

And yes I do think it will be tough in the beginning but eventually I believe it will lead to better individual trade deals with nonEU countries.

It has taken 3 years to negotiate 4 trade deals... with Switzerland, Faroes, Chile & Zimbabwe. Japan has agreed to enter into talks - but is going cold due to the rhetoric being bandied about by our Brexit ministers. All 4 of the negotiated deals replicate the terms that we trade with those countries under EU terms.

How long will it take to improve those terms? JRM is optimistic at 50 years.

Mistigri · 26/03/2019 22:04

But where is the leave momentum?

The leave momentum is sitting in bedrooms posting shit on the internet, when it could be turning up at rallies and marches.

There were a few lonely leavers demonstrating in Trafalgar Square on Saturday. Nige held his "damp squib" rally. All you folks who claim to still want Brexit so much could have been there too.

Why weren't you?

TalkinPaece · 26/03/2019 22:04

grumpy
Personally though I'd love to hear a bit of optimism and positivity about Brexit.
Please elaborate?
tell us the things we should be optimistic and positive about

Figmentofmyimagination · 26/03/2019 22:05

ohjustbore what about climate miles and clean industrial processes? It is much better for the climate for us to trade with our nearest partners, and levels of industrial pollution in China are terrifying. Let’s not add to them if we can help it. Brexit is a side show compared with climate pollution.

BurpsandHustles · 26/03/2019 22:06

if there had been cross party consensus from the off, strong front presented too EU. Strong negotiation. Clear strategy from cross parties....

A) we wouldn't be where we are now

B) if that had failed I would feel more inclined to look at other options.

We are left with scenario that it's not Been attempted yet with proper gusto.

Jsmith99 · 26/03/2019 22:07

It’s just not true to say that “politicians are only out for themselves”.

The majority of MPs, including many Tories and almost every MP in all other parties except the DUP, are completely sincere and genuine in their belief that Brexit is a catastrophic mistake which will damage and weaken both Britain and the EU. Many of those MPs represent seats which voted Leave, which means they are torn between their duty to their constituents and their own consciences.

If they really were “only out for themselves” they would just shut up and vote for May’s deal.

BlackeyedGruesome · 26/03/2019 22:08

I am at risk of sounding like the MPs and saying I don't want a no deal leave. We should have a trade deal.in place with the EU before we leave.

Sorry to hear about your baby. Flowers it takes a long while to even think of anything again so not surprising that you have not paid attention to Brexit.

I have disabled children and there are times when you just have to think about the now, here, and can't follow politics as one is dealing with what is going on at home. You have had to deal with more than your fair share of crap.

Figmentofmyimagination · 26/03/2019 22:08

But May’s deal was never meant to be about the future trading relationship? That’s a job for the next fifty years. What more did people expect from her deal?

TalkinPaece · 26/03/2019 22:08

Burps
What strategy?
CU / SM?
No CU / SM but with backstop?
Hard Brexit?
which strategy should have been followed?
