Tomorrow the Indicative debate starts at 3pm

The Speaker will choose options to go to vote.

Vote at 7pm for yes or no for each option.

7.30pm The SI debate on extension followed by vote.

Announcement of the indicative vote sometime between 8.15pm and 9.30pm

Meanwhile the DUP have indicated they would prefer a long delay (and presumably EU elections by default) rather than May's deal, in a strange twist of Brexit.

Is there any chance they will votes AGAINST the SI and we'll be back to No Deal on Friday???

No. 29th is not Brexit Day any more.

lonelyplanetmum · 26/03/2019 20:53

So JRM, who put in a vote of no confidence against TM is now going to vote for her deal.

Is this definite? AngryAngryAngry

Their obsession with one issue caused this clusterfuck in the first place. Cameron cracked at their posturing and in s fit of pique gave them the bloody referendum.

Billons of pounds spent, the £ plummeting, business leaving, international status lost, weeks of delays, game playing and then they capitulate and vote for the WA once no deal became a chimera?

All funded by us. JRM receiving our hard earned taxes in addition to his £7m from the pound plunging.

Why is this shitty party within a party allowed. I've tried to find an historical precedent but am not well read enough. It feels wrong to have a subversive group undermining constructive politics.

lonelyplanetmum · 26/03/2019 20:55

Incidentally I was checking the definition of the word chimera and look at the definition!

Dear god, they are bringing back the Malthouse compromise for the indicative votes. What part of this is complete fantasy do they not understand. I have lost all respect for Nicky Morgan.

RHTawneyonabus · 26/03/2019 20:58

@Dockray. Since local authorities (or more properly the Acting Returning Officer) deliver elections it may be that they are just being prepared for the eventuality rather than they have inside knowledge. 11 April is the point at which they HAVE to start prepping hence why the EU either want us out by then or ready to hold elections.

Peregrina · 26/03/2019 20:59

Hasn't the Malthouse compromise already been defeated? Surely Bercow wouldn't allow it?

I have to laugh that Mrs Brexit means Brexit and I intend to make a success of it, hasn't even managed to get the agreed date to stick.

lonelyplanetmum · 26/03/2019 21:00

FFS April fool's day...
The day after we would have left!

Parliament is going to debate the petition you signed – “Hold a second referendum on EU membership.”.
https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/2351388_
The debate is scheduled for 1 April 20199_.

Malthouse?! Shock 🦄 Confused 🙄 Hmm

TheMostBoringPersonEver · 26/03/2019 21:04

Marking my place.

Annoying that the debates are in the afternoon. Might have to kick the children outside so I can listen in peace!

What is on in the afternoon in other words how much work am I going to get done tomorrow?

Icantreachthepretzels · 26/03/2019 21:07

Parliament is going to debate the petition you signed

Looks like they're doing the revoke and people's vote debates on the same day.

Those parliamentary debates on petitions only ever have about 5 people at them. Email the tiggers, Ken Clarke, Grieve, Boles, Mark Fields, the Lib dem Mps, some SNP and Caroline Lucas - and tell them to be there!

BigChocFrenzy · 26/03/2019 21:08

Malthouse is when Nicky Morgan went over to the dark side (ERG)
i don't know what they promised her.

The problem with Malthouse?
It's a cake variation and the EU won't accept it

Total FUCKING waste of time voting on Malthouse
If it did pass, we'd be out with No Deal after 12 April

PMK with the cheesiest of fondues. Last night’s voting did me in, so I’m going to bed now. Hopefully tomorrow will be a good day for common sense and sanity!

Holidayshopping · 26/03/2019 21:19

Does the petition stop any more signatures being added to it once it’s debated on...?

SeeYouLaterUserData · 26/03/2019 21:20

.

CheekyChops666 · 26/03/2019 21:21

I call them "Croy-sants" only because it drives my OH nuts, and he's weirdly peculiar about foreign language pronunciation...

But he slices them and puts filling in them whereas I KNOW the correct thing to do is daintily tear pieces off and dip them...

MarshaBradyo · 26/03/2019 21:21

Did anyone else get an email from the petition?

Screen grab it goes on a bit

CheekyChops666 · 26/03/2019 21:22

I should add, once you start calling them croysants there's no going back

BercowsSilkTie · 26/03/2019 21:22

Goodnight all. LO has a temp of 39.1 tonight so who knows what kind of night we'll have. He's currently curled up to me and feels like a hot water bottle. Very odd to have him so quiet so must feel poorly even though he says he's ok Sad
Brace yourselves for tomorrowGin

dreichuplands · 26/03/2019 21:24

Hope your ds feels better soon red

On the subject of cats it is clear that Siamese are the global elite citizens of nowhere preferred choice.
I have also realized that my cat will lose his lovely Eu passport as well.

Labour tables plan for close economic relationship with EU
This is the alternative Brexit plan tabled by the Labour party for tomorrow’s indicative votes in Parliament.

The plan includes:

· a comprehensive customs union with the EU, with a U.K. say on future trade deals;

· close alignment with the Single Market underpinned by shared institutions and obligations;

· dynamic alignment on rights and protections;

· commitments on participation in EU agencies and funding programmes, including in areas such as the environment, education, and industrial regulation; and

· clear agreements on the detail of future security arrangements, including access to the European Arrest Warrant and vital shared databases.

www.theguardian.com/politics/blog/live/2019/mar/26/brexit-government-may-ignore-result-of-indicative-votes-process-says-hancock-live-news at 21:23

BercowsSilkTie · 26/03/2019 21:26

Funniest bit of the response letter (so funny I could cry):
Revoking Article 50 would break the promises made by Government to the British people, disrespect the clear instruction from a democratic vote, and in turn, reduce confidence in our democracy. As the Prime Minister has said, failing to deliver Brexit would cause “potentially irreparable damage to public trust”, and it is imperative that people can trust their Government to respect their votes and deliver the best outcome for them.

Erm...

AutumnCrow · 26/03/2019 21:27

Night, Bercows. Hope tonight isn't too grim.
