What the actual fuck is wrong with Corbyn?

He is less useful than a chocolate teapot anyway, but for a man who blusters on so much about "listening to the members" and "making policy based on the members" he's certainly got an odd way of showing it.

I just find it extraordinary that such a shambolic, self-interested and, frankly corrupt, government has been enabled to get away with it because the opposition is so extraordinarily ineffectual.

I had a sex dream about him last night and honestly don’t feel myself today. I haven’t been able to look anyone in the eye.

Lottapianos · 04/01/2019 10:45

Dear god Slow, you poor thing! Traumatic stuff Grin

JustAnotherPoster00 · 04/01/2019 10:45

Oh definitely agreed Fay but he came across as quite reserved and measured but in hindsight it was definitely very lukewarm support but wed had weeks of the hyperbole from the blairites and corbyn not engaging with them so it was easy to mistake the ambivilence with being cautious

SillySallySingsSongs · 04/01/2019 10:45

but anything was better than sharing a stage with that ham faced etonian

Oh come on. Lets not pretend Corbyn didn't also have a privileged upbringing and a private education shall we.

JustAnotherPoster00 · 04/01/2019 10:48

But he hasnt been fighting for the rich to keep thin inequality going so I've judged him on his actions in that respect. I'm probably gonna cop it now as if I'm the chief Corbyn supporter with a direct link to him lmfao Grin

thecatfromjapan · 04/01/2019 10:58

I don't think Corbyn did enough in the Remain campaign BUT Justanother has a very valid point.

The Scottish Referendum campaign was disastrous for Labour in Scotland AND the Conservatives royally screwed the Liberal Party in coalition. Sharing a platform with the fragrant Dave was potentially toxic.

However - that was then this is now. The Brexit-enabling hss to stop.

Justanother I'm really glad you posted. The cranks on Twitter claim you, and people like you, don't exist (Corbyn supporter, Momentum member, Remainer). I know you do - and many more like you.

Make your voice heard. Brexit is a disaster for the vulnerable (and Amy but the super-rich and very secure). The Left should be united in telling people this, warning people, mobilising resistance.

It really matters.

(I'm so, so glad you've been brave enough to speak up on this thread. It's pretty hostile to Corbyn, so it can't have been easy. I'm no Corbyn fan myself - no point in not confessing that at this stage 😁 - but I respect your point of view. And I really respect you for posting.)

{but anything was better than sharing a stage with that ham faced etonian}
The post of Prime Minister takes with it the responsibility of taking the country to war where millions may die so the concept of 'not being able to face Cameron' is frankly pathetic.
This degree of responsibility has to be factored into the psyche of anyone running for PM, they have to be coldly calculating and weigh up the situation for the benefit of the majority. Maybe worth a thought when considering who should replace Mrs May, from any party.

JustAnotherPoster00 · 04/01/2019 11:03

thanks thecat I occasionally post about it but then even jasjas couldnt keep up with the Corbyn support and I realised then that I had waivered somewhat due to the last Guardian interview Grin

The WW2 'rescue' of the British and allies from Dunkirk, Churchill hoped that 20,000 would make it back.
Around 300,000 actually returned, out of nearly 500,000 who went originally.

JustAnotherPoster00 · 04/01/2019 11:06

'not being able to face Cameron'

I dont think it was about facing him just that sharing anything with someone who was causing such inequality wouldnt have been 'on brand' for Corbyn and like thecat said Labour had learned its lesson in the indyref about sharing the stage with Tories

Kazzyhoward · 04/01/2019 11:09

UKIP didn't win any seats in the U.K. parliament.

They split the votes of the main parties so were a danger to Conservatives and Labour, which meant that they had to be neutralised, hence the referendum. UKIP would have gained a lot more votes and some seats if Cameron hadn't promised the referendum. It was only the promise of the referendum that tempered the rise in popularity of UKIP.

That is the authentic voice of Corbynism. Unpleasant.

Presumably he never sits in the same room as his chief aide Seamus Milne (Winchester College and Balliol). No wonder his operation is such a shambles.

JustAnotherPoster00 · 04/01/2019 11:13

Oh please, you should hear the things I get called because I support Corbyn and I'm a member of momentum at least as far as I know not 1 of the current Labour front bench as been fellated by a dead pig but I'm heartily sorry if as a rightwing snowflake you feel offended, smh

KissingInTheRain · 04/01/2019 11:21

if as a rightwing snowflake you feel offended, smh

Apart from their fellow travellers, everyone’s right wing to Corbynistas. They hate moderate Labour members the most.

I’m not defending Cameron. I’m pointing out how nasty the cult of Corbyn is. Especially if the target is Jewish.

Stupid student politics thing to say. You and Corbyn both need to grow the fuck up. He didn't refuse to share a platform with Cameron out of principle; he is a Eurosceptic and he wants Brexit and he had no interest in supporting the Remain campaign.

And where we are now is much worse than poor Jeremy having to stand on the same platform as a Conservative for the good of the country.

JustAnotherPoster00 · 04/01/2019 11:30

Soundbites are the usual attack eh Kissing

everyone's right wing to Corbynistas I can only speak for myself with you know not being a hive mind like the right wing tabloids would have you believe, but I've been a Labour voter since I turned 18 and held my nose while I voted for Blair because he was right the left had become to stagnant and it needed re-inventing but I feel that continued much to far and did become Tory-lite enough to make me feel a bit sullied while voting for them but still couldnt get over the devastation the Tories had made of my area throughout the whole of the 70's and the 80's

Has Corbyn ever been antisemetic? I think there are those around in the membership that have been and need to be thrown out I dont think anyone would disagree to that, but as somebody who used to actively protest apartheid would be openly antisemetic but if you have some links proving this and not just the usual soundbites used at thius point id happily reasses my opinion of him

JustAnotherPoster00 · 04/01/2019 11:31

Arent I meant to be attacking people being a momentum memeber and all? Hmm

SillySallySingsSongs · 04/01/2019 11:44

Well I think you will find some that will excuse it away.

JustAnotherPoster00 · 04/01/2019 11:47

There probably are no doubt

KissingInTheRain · 04/01/2019 11:47

Just

I didn’t say he was anti-Semitic. I said the cult around him is. You seem to agree.

It’s all been very ugly for quite a long time now.

Vicky1990 · 04/01/2019 12:39

I have just googled Diane Abbots son, she been Corbyns ex girlfriend who sits with him on the front bench.
She paid for her son to have a private education despite herself slagging of others for doing the very same thing.
The brazen hipocracy is shameful, says a lot about Corbyns choice of company.

DarlingNikita · 04/01/2019 12:44

She paid for her son to have a private education despite herself slagging of others for doing the very same thing.
And managed to start a race row when asked about it. Mind you, she could start a race row in an empty room.

For my sins, she's my MP.

Vicky1990 · 04/01/2019 12:55

Darling you have my sympathy.

jasjas1973 · 04/01/2019 12:57

I've listened to parts of this speech made in early june 2016, seems very pro remain to me.

noblegiraffe · 04/01/2019 13:09

Corbyn has shared a platform with Hamas so why not Cameron?
