Brexit

WA or No Deal?

Asked this on a few Brexit threads and didn't get an answer so asking it separately.
Bored of listening to bad winners whining about Juncker and evil EU and all that tedious bollocks. It's come down to this binary question and which is it.
As someone who voted Remain, I prefer shit deal over no Deal.
No Deal would be a humanitarian catastrophe.
Which is it for you?

I was given a vote.. I used it.
There was a general election... Clearly stating we would leave... I voted.
Now your saying you lost, but expect to have it done your way.... Urh no.

bellinisurge · 04/01/2019 20:37

@mummmy2017 this is not being done my way. My way is Remain. But my way didn't prevail in the vote. This is YOUR way.

Even in the war there was food.

Shipped over on the Atlantic convoys, which cost tens if thousands of lives. Don’t be so ignorant.

bellinisurge · 04/01/2019 20:41

So @mummmy2017 you are just another one rocking the WWII reality TV game show vibe. How old are you? Very childish if it wasn't so ghastly for everyone else.

Jeez, mummy2017, it's not about winners and losers. If you'd voted for Jezzer last time round (maybe you did?) you'd still be on the "winning" team. BUT, Brexit is a godawful mess. What do you want? Treeza's WA, or fall out?
I always lose, always, in general elections, but I thole it, because maybe next time, and besides, we have to live together. If you are keen to leave, wouldn't it be better to offer the country a plan? These Brexiteer arseholes, (you know who they are) are taking advantage of all of us.

Urh YES, you were wrong then and your still wrong now.

Brexit is undeliverable and frankly dangerous in regard to NI and Medicines, if young UK soldiers are killed in a resumption of the violence in NI or people cannot get the healthcare they need - you'll not be held accountable for your unwise vote.

mummmy2017 · 04/01/2019 20:46

We don't have brexit yet.
All we have is this might happen, that could happen.
Stop accepting all the worse scenarios as what is going to happen.
Because project fear was projected from the day after the vote and didn't happen..

mummmy2017 · 04/01/2019 20:49

If solders get killed is that not the fault of the person who takes up arms.... No one will put a gun in their hand...
We have free will.

jasjas1973 · 04/01/2019 20:50

If almost every weather forecast says it'll rain, only a fool hangs out their washing.

bellinisurge · 04/01/2019 20:52

So you are happy to take everyone with you over the cliff. Irresponsible. Childish. Deluded.

jasjas1973 · 04/01/2019 20:53

No its your fault for destroying a fragile peace...

nuttynutjob · 04/01/2019 20:54

40% of food are imported in the UK (30%EU , 10%Non EU). The UK is unable to feed itself. Don't tell me that we can just plant more potatoes and turnips. Who will pick those Brussel Sprouts in Lincolnshire?

In the event of No Deal then the supply chain will be disrupted. The last mini Snowmageddon, some supermarkets had no milk and bread.

Just look into Black Friday Chaos and see how bad it is.

mummmy2017 · 04/01/2019 20:56

Unless it is a hot summer day, and the rain is for 5 mins and you know the sun will be out shortly afterwards to dry the washing.

You really did swallow the cliff lie... It will be a downward sloping slide, with an upward slope at the other end... But since you can only see the edge no wonder you are so scared of living a life.

durgha · 04/01/2019 20:57

mummy2017, yes it hasn't happened yet. Are the drugs warnings fake news? Has there been a reduction of EU healthcare workers? Have scientists left UK for EU? (Yes they have, I know some) Has funding left research ?(Yes it has, I have relatives who are sitting on their hands waiting for UK gov to cough up the money that has been lost and they boasted about replacing) I don't need a worst case scenario, bad is already happening. What do you do, that Brexit hasn't touched your life yet?

pointythings · 04/01/2019 20:58

mummy have you ever heard of the saying 'It's better to have something and not need it than need something and not have it'?

So I'm going to prepare for worst case scenario - crash out Brexit. I just wish my good friend whose DD has type 1 diabetes could do the same, but insulin supplies can't be guaranteed in the event of no deal - the government has admitted as much.

Do you know what happens to people with type 1 diabetes who can't get insulin, mummy?

If it happens to even one person, it's on you and on everyone who voted like you did.

mummmy2017 · 04/01/2019 20:59

Nutty is there bread in the shops now?
So as said nothing is for ever.

Buteo · 04/01/2019 21:03

Cliff edge? Did I imagine the appointment of a Minister for Food, stockpiling drugs, government purchasing of fridges (possibly not for drugs), paying millions to a company that has no experience and no ships to run freight services, Operation Brock?

durgha · 04/01/2019 21:05

mummy2017, what do you do, that Brexit hasn't touched your life yet? And what's your preference, A50 or plummet?

mummmy2017 · 04/01/2019 21:06

I refuse to accept that the government won't manage to get the drugs needed.
There is time to sort it, if you want to spend your life living in fear, fine do so but that does not mean I need to follow suit...
I welcome openly the changes that are being forced through, against your will.
To know our political parties are going to have to step up and perform, instead of just reacting.....

Buteo · 04/01/2019 21:07

Nutty is there bread in the shops now? So as said nothing is for ever.

But according to you there was food during WW2.

So - just how does this work?

bellinisurge · 04/01/2019 21:11

I get it @mummmy2017 . You think we are all deluded.
If I'm wrong, happy days, egg on my face. No problem.
If you're wrong? Fucking hell.

OP posts:
pointythings · 04/01/2019 21:11

You can refuse to accept all you want. The government themselves have said they cannot guarantee that everyone will get the meds they need. Because hey, 80-odd days isn't a lot of time to prepare.

Frankly, I'd rather risk the rioting a Revoke might bring, although I suspect that would be an utter damp squib. Millions out rioting? More like a few hundred racists if Nigel Farage's recent efforts are anything to go by. What fine company you will be keeping with the likes of Tommy Robinson.

mummmy2017 · 04/01/2019 21:12

Nutty said there was no bread, when it snowed as if it had been weeks of no bread ... I remarked that it was fixed within days...
The point of the minister for food is surely to ensure there is food post exit, or they are not doing the job!

jasjas1973 · 04/01/2019 21:12

I refuse to accept that the government won't manage to get the drugs needed

On what basis do you think that?

durgha · 04/01/2019 21:13

mummy2017, there is a chance that the govt might step up, by revoking A50. But so far, I agree they've been woefully inadequate. I hope the govt we have saves you and me from ourselves. Plebs like us shouldn't have had to vote on such a complicated issue, but then, it wasn't about us. Still not said why you're unaffected by Brexit....
