"We are going to be an independent Great Britain again - not you - not I, no one can change it"

Nope, we will still be part of supernational bodies and cede some sovereignty to these groups.

"am willing to take what ever pain, or cost as I feel with all my heart this was the best thing I could do to have a country who can be proud once more, and thrive."

Yet you can't explain how the EU was stopping us thriving, or how we will do so in future.

mummmy2017 · 16/08/2017 22:43

Does that mean you wet your pants with fear.

bathildabagshot1 · 16/08/2017 22:46

You make me wet my pants laughing.

The UK will be ok with Brexit, but what it won't be is better off, the fall in standards of living over the decade after we leave will be noticable though, and in maybe 15 years we will have reached the level we are at now.

See that's what you voted for, no change other than for the worse.

mummmy2017 · 16/08/2017 22:50

I am now beginning to see why you don't understand leavers.

We looked and read things, then this great longing inside us of took over, this feeling, this need to do the right thing over came us all too such an extent that well we ticked a box. Hoping against hope that others of our kind were wiling to take a chance on the UK that once was great still had breathe left in it to kick and scream to drag it's self till it stood proud and strong, to take our loved and return it.

littlebird7 · 16/08/2017 22:52

All leave voters just leave the thread...
Our minds and hearts are at peace - only time will show the remainers the true colours of the undemocratic, authoritarian feudal super state the EU actually is - we should let the future unfurl naturally. What we signed up for is nothing like what we have now - and what is planned for tomorrow. Even the Econmist/ US/ Asia are all getting cold feet and jittery about Germany's huge surplus versus the extreme poverty and decline of of Italy, Greece and others and most of Southern Europe / not even getting into Eastern Europe and the decling support in Poland, Hungary and others. It is a failing super state experiment.

We will set a precedent to leave. As we always have. We indeed love the Europeans as we always will, we do not adore the European Commission and all it stands for. I can not wait to leave.

bathildabagshot1 · 16/08/2017 22:53

Appealing to patriotism again dear heart, flawed argument. Lovely usage of the Trumpanzee "make great again" stuff though.

You obviously didn't read enough because not once on this or any other thread have you outlined what will change for the better once out of the EU and you have mostly blamed the EU for decisions made at national level.

littlebird7 · 16/08/2017 22:59

Bath

You know as well as I do that almost all of Europe is failing - unemployment is at an all time high in most counties, debt is at an all time high and just about to tip over in countries like Italy, Greece. You know as well as I do that Germany is the only country flying economically - and we all know why that is!
You simply can not run a super state like this! It is a complete and utter shambles. I don't blame anyone in Europe - I blame our successive governments on both sides for signing us up to this!

bathildabagshot1 · 16/08/2017 23:04

Really? Cause looking at the data most of the economies in Europe are growing. Spain, France, Portugal, Poland, Germany and others all had higher growth levels than the UK last year. The UK seems to have pretty high debts too.

Unemployment levels in many of these countries is historically much higher, even in good times, and the youth unemployment down to decisions made at national level, not EU.
"You simply can not run a super state like this! It is a complete and utter shambles"

Yet it isn't a super state, and we had examption from any moves toward ever closer union. So your critique is incorrect.

littlebird7 · 16/08/2017 23:15

I am not sure who you are, but your English isn't great so assuming you are not from our country.

Your 'data' such a 1980s word is wrong. All the above countries except for Germany have received bail outs, still do or are cooking the books ( re France ) to avoid doing so. None of the above have anything like the employment levels of the UK except Germany of course. Please do not publish incorrect information on here, it is misleading.
Greece, Italy, France, Spain, Ireland are all in dire straits. We are leaving out the usual struggling states of most of Eastern Europe.

The decisions of employment are not taken at national levels - how foolish - they are driven by the economics of the country!!!

Tell your story to the Greek man whom no longer has a job or the Spanish graduate who now needs to work in London! Basic economics - these countries can not adjust their currencies so will never ever escape the quagmire

Carolinesbeanies · 16/08/2017 23:18

Cheers Time4chocolate, dont mind if I do. How was your day?

Howabout, had a lovely day today, weather held out so headed north into the Peaks. Could see for miles. Glorious. Certainly in a far better mood than yesterday. Evening littlebird and all.

Appears to have been a tad messy here in the Tap room today, mummy, its called goading. Rock up, ask to 'explain', (cause of course its not 'demand that you justify' they just want to 'understand') circle the wagons, and then go full remainer rabid. Really dont worry about it, as the whole democratic argument falls down, when Ive yet to meet any remainer, who did indeed vote for Nigel Farage and the UKIP candidates putting UKIP into the leading political party in the European elections, (beating Labour and the Tories) and giving him the largest popular of any party ever in those elections.

Either remainers support the EU yet chose to vote UKIP, or they didnt? Cant have it both ways.

Anyone else up for a beer? WineWine

"Your English isn't great"...

... says the person who posted "Here here Mummy! Hmm

littlebird7 · 16/08/2017 23:23

Two fingers to everything

The clue is in your name. Not everyone is as cynical as you. I actually feel sorry for you. Very sad.

Carolinesbeanies · 16/08/2017 23:23

"Woohoo!
I scored 94% (17/18)"

LOL Faith. Wine

littlebird7 · 16/08/2017 23:26

Random - I think you will find it is grammatically correct when referring to wine. Do check your facts dear.

twofingerstoEverything · 16/08/2017 23:26

The clue is in your name

Grin Grin Grin

Deep.

This is really like a pub tonight with all the Brexiteers getting increasingly more hackneyed and incoherent as the night wear on.

littlebird7 · 16/08/2017 23:27

And we ARE supposedly celebrating or have you forgotten random - Ching Ching and all that

littlebird7 · 16/08/2017 23:29

Two fingers - one can only speak for herself.... trust me no one else here is embarrassing - ah - apart from you of course. Vulgar. Call the cab

littlebird7 · 16/08/2017 23:32

Sure sign you have lost the arguement ( again, may I add) that you have now started to become insulting.
If the EU commission is so bloody great why haven't you got more positive things to say about it!!

RandomlyGenerated · 16/08/2017 23:32

littlebird

You weren't referring to wine, you were agreeing with a comment.

Do get your contexts right. Dear.

bathildabagshot1 · 16/08/2017 23:33

Dear littlebird, I can assure you that my English is just fine, in fact superior to your command.

My data is the economic growth data for 2016, all of those countries and others grew at a faster rate than the UK.

The unemplyment rates are higher, but the UK's figure is masked by 0 hour contracts and self employment.

Portugal and Ireland have paid back their bailout money, with interest, the Spainish government did not recieve a bailout. Greece remains an issue but this is again within historic norms.

So no not all of the countries above had bailouts, only Greece Portugal, Ireland and Cyprus, and two of those have paid theirs back.

The decisions regarding employment, at national levels which keeps youth unemployment higher is that to do with trade unions.

Don't explain "basic economics" when you really don't understand it.

twofingerstoEverything · 16/08/2017 23:34

Random - bird is getting very argumentative. She'll be demanding you step outside in a minute.

(And it's chin-chin, not ching ching but best not to mention that.)

bathildabagshot1 · 16/08/2017 23:35

"Sure sign you have lost the arguement ( again, may I add) that you have now started to become insulting. " Sic

It was you that started the insulting, and its argument, oh the irony.

Carolinesbeanies · 16/08/2017 23:36

(slopes off out the door as the beer bottles fly passed from the Tap room)

littlebird7 · 16/08/2017 23:38

Returning wine to bar - not the place for me - so very bored now.... as we all are. Get A LIFE remainers - moronic support for a failing superstate will end in disaster - it already has. Do try to keep up.
We are absolutely DELIGHTED with the outcome of the referendum. Goodnight one and all - and all support to our country and team securing the best possible independent future for generations to come. History in the making - whatever your view.
