Remainers are so mean. I reconciled myself on June 23 to remain winning. At least it would be what most people wanted, I thought. I would have wanted things to turn out fine. I would have been willing everything to turn out just fine. I would nor have wished I'll on the UK - for what? To be proved right? That would matter more than the prosperity of the country? Inconceivable. Not remainers. They are mean.

time4chocolate · 02/11/2016 20:39

Unfortunately, the grinning is typical and it's a bit like the thread where people are going to boycott certain shops as a mark of protest but they can't see that it is extremely counterproductive and shortsighted as that is going to cost people their jobs (but hey as long as it makes them feel better) fortunately there are 17m people who are not so childish.

TheElementsSong · 02/11/2016 20:39

Now Remainers are to blame for a pub chain doing badly? My god, is there no end to their nefarious superpowers?

(It's never a good thing for people's jobs to be at risk - but, as I'm sure I have read on these threads many a time, companies doing badly and jobs being lost "happens all the time" and "isn't because of Brexit").

WinchesterWoman · 02/11/2016 20:42

It's awful isn't it? Weren't there some people who wanted Nissan to pull out? I can't imagine wishing I'll on the country if we'd voted to stay.

Kaija · 02/11/2016 20:42

A lot of people are going to lose their jobs because of Brexit and it is horrible. Any of us may lose our jobs as the consequences start to kick in. There is no pleasure to be had there.

But the world's tiniest violin is still not small enough to play a sad tune for Tim Martin. What a fucking idiot.

WinchesterWoman · 02/11/2016 20:43

For enjoying it of course elements. Obviously. Perhaps you are not a grinning loon about it though. Wonder how other remainers feel. Who else is grinning?

WinchesterWoman · 02/11/2016 20:45

Are you grinning kaija? Would you prefer wetherspoons to be doing well?

WinchesterWoman · 02/11/2016 20:46

It's not leavers saying it's due to brexit. It's implied by that other poster, element. Can't remember the name.

Kaija · 02/11/2016 20:47

I would prefer everyone to be doing well. But I don't give a flying fuck about Tim Martin's woes seeing as they are a direct result of what he was advocating and is bringing on all of us.

WinchesterWoman · 02/11/2016 20:49

So you'd prefer wetherspoons to be doing well?
You must know it's not just him affected - that's an odd comment.

WinchesterWoman · 02/11/2016 20:50

And element kaija is saying it too. Not leavers.

TheElementsSong · 02/11/2016 20:51

fortunately there are 17m people who are not so childish

It's childish to choose where and when to spend one's own hard-earned money?

Would you say that it is childish for me to boycott products containing palm oil, or tax-evading companies like Starbucks, or companies which aggressively marketed baby milk in poor countries? After all, people might lose their jobs!

Or is it only with regard to Brexit-supporting companies that it is our (entirely mature and grown-up) patriotic duty to pour our money at them?

You could conversely reflect that, if people are choosing childishly to spend their money with (say) Remain-supporting companies, maybe those might have a chance to do better in these difficult times and thus secure more jobs? Whereas, as a Brexiter you presumably believe that golden times of unparalleled wealth have been bestowed upon us - so why would any company be doing badly??

Kaija · 02/11/2016 20:51

Yes WinchesterWoman I would fucking prefer Wetherspoons to be doing well. And the rest of the economy. I would very much prefer it if we hadn't been pointlessly thrown over this cliff. I would have thought that was perfectly clear by now.

Kaija · 02/11/2016 20:52

"And element kaija is saying it too. Not leavers."

Saying what?

WinchesterWoman · 02/11/2016 20:55

I can't find the report, only a bunch of predictions that nlw would hit profits. I can't find the report about sales down

Bearbehind · 02/11/2016 20:56

Your arguments make no sense ww you're all sad because businesses are struggling but this is happening as a direct result of your vote.

As for the Remainers are all mean FFS.

this isn't some race where the only thing that mattered was who crossed the line first- crossing the line was just the start of it.

Remainers don't want this to fail but can't see how it won't, largely because you lot can't tell us why it won't.

WinchesterWoman · 02/11/2016 20:56

You are blaming wetherspoons news on brexit. Element said it was leavers doing that I think? In the post above. Maybe I mistook her.

WinchesterWoman · 02/11/2016 20:58

Yawn bear

Kaija · 02/11/2016 20:58

Yes you mistook her. Try again.

Bearbehind · 02/11/2016 20:59

Fantastically reasoned argument as ever there ww

time4chocolate · 02/11/2016 21:00

Element - it's very childish to do it for that particular reason - it's like having a tantrum because you didn't get your own way.

You can spend your money wherever you like, it's your money to do with what you want with. The same as my vote was my right and I was free to do whatever I wanted with it.

Cxc78 · 02/11/2016 21:01

Did I hear the door bell ring?

WinchesterWoman · 02/11/2016 21:04

Kaija: read again - the part in the brackets
Bear do you fancy me? You seem to stalk me around and try to tease me, and get a rise out of me , like a boy pulling a girls pigtails. Why do you need my attention so? Do you want to go out with me?

WinchesterWoman · 02/11/2016 21:06

So the grinning is because of a boycott? I still can't find the report. Yes remainers it seems can be bullies in real life as well as online. How very adaptable.
