I know there will be difficult times ahead.

Staying there was also going to be difficult times afraid.

But I think it's the way forward ! I'm pleased change is on the cards.

The wine is flowing in the chatty house Wine and I shall share with any leavers we have been in fabulous moods all day including the extended chatty family

yzme · 24/06/2016 21:56

Being called racist and uneducated by people who post updates such as this:

People who haven't got two GCSEs to rub together have voted to Leave the EU and the ASOS website is down. What is the point anymore?

Hmm I voted leave and I'm happy with the result. I have huge sympathy for those who have/are facing job loses, however I think it was the right decision in the long-term, along with 52% of the voters.

JE678 · 24/06/2016 22:01

Oh in that case I'll join you all. I'm convinced, I've seen the error of my ways Wine

wiltingfast · 24/06/2016 22:02

this isn't a bloody card game. This decision has huge repercussions for uk and countries outside uk.

How is your children's future now better?

I'm not even in uk and im upset! Never mind people do live there and have had this pointless crisis imposed upon them.

HildurOdegard · 24/06/2016 22:03

I've already posted this today, but I have a 50k euros pension in another eu country. I believe in us all more than the contents of my purse. I'm also disabled. I don't expect to be rooting through bins come Thursday. I love my country.

Ignoring the doom and gloom invaders hopefully tampons will become vat free once we are officially out... You no the blood obsorbing things that the EU believe are a luxury yet helicopters have no vat Hmm

glassgarden · 24/06/2016 22:09

the long term agenda of the EU is to consolidate political power in the hands of a few
absolute power= absolute corruption

we are better off out of that, it's bound to be a bit bumpy but things will settle down

the UK will innovate and come up with solutions, we dont need to be held back and bossed about by the EU overlords

RortyCrankle · 24/06/2016 22:09

Can I top up everyone's Wine?

glassgarden · 24/06/2016 22:10

people are bound to be upset, it's a shock, no one thought it would happen, thing will calm down and we will deal with it

Chattymummyhere · 24/06/2016 22:11

Think I've had enough tonight Rorty Grin Wine

Ackvavit · 24/06/2016 22:12

Can I ask what is the gain? I've adult children and soon to be grandchild and being in the EU worked for us. Can someone in exit explain how my family will benefit please?

pinkiponk · 24/06/2016 22:15

pulls up a chair I've been called (not personally, but as a leave voter), racist, intolerant, uneducated, unintelligent... I'm many things, but I'm quite sure I'm none of those. Things are already stabilising, they'll see in the end.

Roonerspism · 24/06/2016 22:15

I am delighted.

I feel sad too that it has come to this. That it may be the end of the EU. We were offered nothing else.

But in the next few years, I believe we will absolutely see this as the best option.

Markets already favouring UK over France/Spain/Greece

MiracletoCome · 24/06/2016 22:15

i have an adult child (22) who is buying a house soon, hopefully it will be a bit cheaper for him if prices fall. He voted out too.

MangoMoon · 24/06/2016 22:38

Yay! Wine
I'm over the moon too.

I have been awake for about 40 hours now and am like the walking dead - exciting times ahead I think.

Am heartily sick of the doom mongering all over the place - not being able to afford your second home anymore is not a ruined life in my mind, but apparently it is in MN world...

Hopefully I can get some sleep now Grin

Ackvavit · 24/06/2016 23:03

Yes I understand all arguments. What annoys..... Over 50 plus voting out who neatly ( older end) voted in during 1970s. Halcyon days rose coloured glasses.

HildurOdegard · 24/06/2016 23:07

Or perhaps learning through experience.

glassgarden · 24/06/2016 23:15

things have changed immensely since we voted in in the 1970's

BurningBridges · 24/06/2016 23:20

I have huge sympathy for those who have/are facing job loses, however I think it was the right decision in the long-term, along with 52% of the voters

Sorry, tell me again how you have this huge sympathy? My DH was due to retire this year, it was our only chance to get out of debt, now we might have to sell the house. (Course I understand in Brexit world anyone with a house and pension is an entitled bastard). But not to worry eh? We'll muddle along!

If the happy leavers were giving intelligent answers to the problems this will now cause, I think I'd feel a bit more confident about their intentions.

Surferjet · 24/06/2016 23:22

The nastiness of the Remain camp, their disgust with the electorate, is even worse than I was expecting. It can be summed up as "you greedy, old, ill-informed, brainwashed, overemotional, xenophobic idiots, look at what you have done". They've dispensed with the PC veneer to their elitism. They've parked the polite euphemisms they normally use to express their concerns about the throng. It's all out in the open now. Hell hath no fury like a Guardianista spurned by the masses.

TooMuchMNTime · 24/06/2016 23:25

There's been so much hate, I only just now thought phew.
I am worried about how close the vote was, or does it just feel like that because I don't know other leavers?

I'm a Londoner and I also think, do the other areas hate us?

borntohula · 24/06/2016 23:25

i don't understand why the working class Brexiters think the government (especially with someone like Boris Johnson as PM) will suddenly have their best interests at heart without the involvement of the EU.

TooMuchMNTime · 24/06/2016 23:27

I'm dreading work on Monday, I know I'm losing my job but I don't know how long I can keep up the act anyway, they're all passionate Remainers.

Unless they lied too.
