I know there will be difficult times ahead.

Staying there was also going to be difficult times afraid.

But I think it's the way forward ! I'm pleased change is on the cards.

No nerves hit here 😀 Just sharing the celebrations, I do think the clue to our feelings is in the thread title, and I have never and would never stoop to the low level of calling people names or instigating a bun fight. Just enjoyed a celebratory cider as sadly have no champagne or prosecco. Well done everyone who voted leave, I know for me it was tough but at the end of the day we are all entitled to our own views. I will continue to respect the views of all and that is why I am celebrating on this thread and not all over the others! Cheers!

HildurOdegard · 24/06/2016 21:09

We are good people (as a nation). We have a beautiful country of which many are envious and we will thrive. Everyone is as kind and intelligent as they were yesterday and I for one believe in us (you) to make this transition to make us a proud country.

Mooingcow · 24/06/2016 21:14

Rejoicing here too.

Delighted and relieved and optimistic.

And not remotely interested in responding to some vulgar upstart demanding I defend my democratic right to a secret vote.

I've got posh crisps, olives and a bit of cambazola.

Who's got glasses? Been dying to crack the fizz all day but everyone too cross that such an Old Person has broken the future for the poor impotent Young.

Cheers!

BrexitentialCrisis · 24/06/2016 21:19

Yay! I'm so excited that the government has imploded! Who needs them anyway, bunch of fat cat tories. It's also great that my house is going to decrease in value- it will give first time buyers a chance to get on the ladder. I don't have any holiday euros for France yet- might wait a few weeks before buying them - lol!

Ash, it feels so good to have exercised my right to aggravate the status quo and take back control of our borders. There is loads of fencing already dug between Northern and Douthern Ireland- it won't be much to bob on a few passport checkpoints.

Happy celebrating 51%! We did it! And for all the right reasons! Everyone else will realise eventually.

Confused
fryingtoday · 24/06/2016 21:21

So we get to throw out the bloated unelected cash sucking Eurocrats. Hurrah! Personally I cannot forgive what they have done to Greece - you wouldn't stymie your worst enemy like that!

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 24/06/2016 21:23

xenophobic, racist, uneducated, thick as pigshit

Just to quote one of you back at yourselves.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 24/06/2016 21:24

You have all stolen our children's future. I hope you're fucking happy.

WereSmarterThanYouThink · 24/06/2016 21:26

I would like, if it's okay, to ask people who voted leave to write me some sound, bullet-pointed reasons as to what you think you can get out of the "Brexit", including sources of proof that it will happen.
See if you can persuade me that I should have voted leave.
Please try to not repeat each other's points.

HopeArden · 24/06/2016 21:30

Why should we? No one has to explain or justify themselves to you.

BrexitentialCrisis · 24/06/2016 21:31
  • Rats escaping a sinking ship
  • Taking Back Control of our borders
  • Preventing 295million Turkish people from moving here
  • Preventing our obligation to join a European army
  • Preventing evercloserunion
  • Being able to make decisions for ourselves: instead of some elitist foreign bureaucrat making decisions for us, some elitist British bureaucrat can make decisions for us

Isn't it obvious?!?!

BrexitentialCrisis · 24/06/2016 21:34

Here are my sources of proof that it will happen:

Michael Gove: 'we don't need experts'

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 24/06/2016 21:36

I don't care, we are moving to Canada in July. But I will be back in 5 years' time to say I Told You So.

You fucked up. Time and history will prove it. Just wait.

JE678 · 24/06/2016 21:36

Given the whole population of Turkey is only 75 million you are a great example of the ill-informed moron who believes the shite Farage spouts. 295 million?! There was no obligation to join the European army. We had already negotiated out of ever closer union. Try reading a book or an academic paper rather than a red top.

I personally couldn't be happier, HeartsTrumpDiamonds. Thanks for asking Grin.

No thanks WereSmarterThanYouThink, I have set out my reasons hundreds of times on here over previous months. I have zero interest in repeating them and have no desire to persuade you. You sound like a teacher.

Hope - actually, you do owe it to everyone I'm afraid because your votes have pushed us down this road. It's actually the least you can do. If you can spare the time between swigs of champagne that is.

Every time a huge company decides to leave Britain, or our government is destabilised even more, or Scotland and Ireland decide to break away, you keep reminding us, just to be clear. We need to be enlightened of the wisdom that justified your vote yesterday.

BrexitentialCrisis · 24/06/2016 21:41

JE678- I am being completely sarcastic. I think it's part of the grieving process I have found myself undergoing today. Sad

Chattymummyhere · 24/06/2016 21:41

Lazy remainers who couldn't be bothers to vote pushed it thanks just because is leavers actually for off our backsides and voted just means we believe more in our side.

We don't have to justify ourselves to anyone I am very happy for my children's future now we have voted exit.

Why oh why can't remain be gracious losers.

Chattymummyhere · 24/06/2016 21:43

Who my auto correct is having an amazing time tonight but I'm sure you can work out what I meant.

*couldnt be bothered to vote

*just because us leavers

  • actually got off our
HildurOdegard · 24/06/2016 21:43

"Try not to repeat each other's points".

The point is; the electorate chose NOT to repeat 'mistakes' of the past when they voted yes in 1975. We must learn from history lest we are doomed to repeat it.

If anyone had received their P45 today - blaming it upon this is misplaced - the employer was looking for an excuse to lose staff. Making choices on what MIGHT happen is akin to filing for divorce today because your husband MIGHT meet someone hotter/younger in 2 years.

RortyCrankle · 24/06/2016 21:44

There must be 40 threads on here where Remainers can go to have their say. This is the only thread for Leavers to be happy about the result. Of course you can post where and what you like so if you wish to keep flogging a dead horse, please do so but personally I shall not respond to any more of your posts.

ChipStix · 24/06/2016 21:49

I'm worried about Ireland. Sad

MiracletoCome · 24/06/2016 21:51

I think JE678 was too thick to notice that Brexidential was a remainer Grin Too busy reading academic papers.

Pop off back to the other threads now.

glassgarden · 24/06/2016 21:51
