I know there will be difficult times ahead.

Staying there was also going to be difficult times afraid.

But I think it's the way forward ! I'm pleased change is on the cards.

Even though it was said that it would be a close call I honestly thought it would be a remain victory. I'm still a little shocked but it's slowly sinking in and I'm happy, just trying to avoid all the moaners with their doom and gloom. They fail to understand that they may have had a nice life in the EU many of us didn't.

TheHoneyBadger · 24/06/2016 15:46

why are people even coming on this thread to attack people?

the minority are very bloody vocal and aggressive.

rather sick of all the sneering on facebook which is totally classist, ageist, etc yet being touted by the right on crowd who are supposedly oh so tolerant.

FriendofBill · 24/06/2016 16:17

It was be fucked over in the EU, or be fucked over out of the EU- with a chance to make things better later- for me.

Our one chance to have a say.

JE678 · 24/06/2016 16:23

Not one person on this thread seems to be able to articulate what positives actually come from this. Are you really watching the economy tanking, the political system fracturing and the U.K. breaking apart and thinking this looks like a positive? Sadly this thread is propagating the preconceptions about those who voted leave. Keep celebrating now and see how long it lasts.

electricflyzapper · 24/06/2016 16:25

To be fair, the OP didn't ask people to say why they voted out so no-one needs to articulate the positives. There are other threads for that.

FriendofBill · 24/06/2016 16:32

Did you read my post?

I made the right decision.
At least we can vote government in/out, not so with the EU.

Many of us saw the chance to get out and took it.
Sorry you don't agree with that!

FriendofBill · 24/06/2016 16:33

I think it is a great day for democracy!

JE678 · 24/06/2016 16:35

Oh wow, the MEPs are elected. How do you figure you can't vote them in or out. You may one day change your mind about whether you made the right decision, time will tell. In the meantime take a look at this value of your pension today vs yesterday.

Chattymummyhere · 24/06/2016 17:08

JE

It's quite clear this thread was started for those happy about the result not a thread asking they they voted that way. This is the issue with us Brits moan moan moan when ever something doesn't go our way. 52% of those who voted wanted the remain side with their apparent superior intellect should accept they lost in a fair democratic vote.

My mum was over the moon with the result when I rang her this morning she's on holiday and hasn't checked the news at that point she was even happier when pig man handed in his resignation.

Chattymummyhere · 24/06/2016 17:09

Wanted out

That should say apparent my phone cut it out.

fourmummy · 24/06/2016 17:31

Some good news:

Grassgreendashhabi · 24/06/2016 17:53

JE - unlike you doom and gloom remainers that want to hijack every thread possible.

Us outs are quiet happy to carry on as usual.

Please feel free to carry a sign "the end of the world" on another thread!

2moreminutes · 24/06/2016 17:55

Wine Cheers.

Well done!

electricflyzapper · 24/06/2016 17:56

I actually feel rather sorry for Cameron even though I voted out. I have to admit I did not think about the consequences to him. But I know that opinion will be unpopular here, and I guess he was going to go before the next GE anyway.

surreygoldfish · 24/06/2016 18:08

This is astonishing...,,,exactly what 'good' do you think will come of this? ?? Other than being pleased the 'elite' have lost????That's really grown up, the pleasure will be very short lived. Economy goes downhill, jobs lost, less tax raised and less invested in services. Sound great? That's even before considering the 'little Britain' mentality. This isn't about being sore about not winning. It's why having referendums is such a bad idea .....popularist idiocy.....

Grassgreendashhabi · 24/06/2016 18:13

Surrey - go moan on another thread!

If you wanted to stay in then maybe just MAYBE you should of all voted Grin

OP posts:
JE678 · 24/06/2016 18:16

Maybe we should 'have'. Oh wait, we did... after making an informed decision.

Fizbo · 24/06/2016 18:17

I am so pleased 🍾 All the people on my Facebook who are being ville about Brexit are financially well off, don't have children or live a rural life in their own bubble. Or are a combination of the three! common sense prevailed in the end, hooray!

Veterinari · 24/06/2016 18:18

One of you voted to exit because your DH's job was under threat from the EU - amazing! Well that decision is likely to ensure that a significant number of blue collar workers now face the same fate, as companies shift their offices to Europe out of the UK

TheHoneyBadger · 24/06/2016 18:24

crazy eh? not allowed one little thread?

i feel rather sad for all these people who loathe over half the population and consider them ignorant idiots and worse. perhaps it's time to consider emmigrating if that's how you feel about the people here?

HopeArden · 24/06/2016 18:25

People have short memories if they are feeling sorry for Cameron.

Tbh I think we were always fractured - the Scots were always going to go for a second referendum and this result has maybe just brought it forward.

surreygoldfish · 24/06/2016 18:26

No common sense hasn't prevailed. All of London voted in - they're not all the super rich. I'm still waiting for just ONE 'leaver' to tell me exactly what will be good apart from having 'won'.

hownottofuckup · 24/06/2016 18:35

Is there a thread where Leave voters have been able to explain why they wanted to Leave and why they believe it is best for our country?
(I do mean explain not justify) as I am genuinely interested and don't understand what people are expecting to happen. I saw someone say they hope now their DC will be able to buy their own home but I can't find information on how leaving the EU will achieve that?
I've heard about how it's undemocratic but my understanding is we were/are represented by the government we elect?
I've seen some vitriol about immigrants but I think that's really the minority. Why would Sunderland have so heavily voted to leave when leaving risks so many jobs in the area with Nissan claiming they will pull out of the area with an EU exit? That can't be about 'immigrants taking jobs'. And alot of people who have voted out aren't in areas heavily effected by immigration, I don't think it's that I think that's the Farage effect.
But, I don't understand what we are expected to gain economically etc by leaving?
Would anyone mind explaining?

MiracletoCome · 24/06/2016 18:36

I'm pleased and my shares have gone up too Smile

There was loads of vileness on here iirc when the Conservatives won the election, it went on for a couple of weeks and some were quite threatening with really personal attacks on posters.
