The Electoral Commission have said that 2 million people have registered to vote since last December. 1.5m since May alone.

There were over 6m applications and approx 2m eligible.

The problem is 'intention to vote' isn't the actually same as doing so.

This is to some extent as to why compulsory voting I guess is often muted.

There was an 85% turn out for the Scottish ref. It would be amazing to reach something even in that ballpark.

The spread betting on turnout suggests around the 68% mark.

Over 80% turn out is currently around 9/1
75-80% is between 7/2 and 4/1
70-75% is around 2/1

Anything above / below 68% is worth looking out for.

I would like it to be so the result is representative but I don't think it will be.

I think leave will clinch it, just. The idea doesn't make me at all happy and I hope I'm wrong.

The higher the better as far as I am concerned - for selfish reasons and for the interests of the country.

It's a bit bloody rich that people who are so proud of Britain and beinv a British don't trust their country to run a fair vote. That sort of tin-foil-capped fuckwittery really pisses me off.
