Leave.

It transpires the EU has used British taxpayers money to help Chinese steel producers....the irony.

If this is accurate we have dire problems.
We definitely need to get a grip.
Plus get a grip of our borders and exit the EU.
Yes yes yes no doubt you will say you know some lovely people of this religion and you may well be correct, however this survey is disturbing.

OP posts:
AnnaForbes · 10/04/2016 19:15

Daisy, this is covered in the Telegraph too. The survey found:

52 per cent of Muslims said homosexuality should not be legal in Britain
39 per cent agreed “wives should always obey their husbands”
31 per cent said it was acceptable for a man to have more than one wife.
23 per cent said they supported the introduction of sharia law in Britain.

How to overcome this problem of failed integration? I really dont know. With Turkey's accession in the near future, we need to face this if we stay in the EU. Its going to be very ugly.

AnnaForbes · 10/04/2016 19:21

Meanwhile migrants are hurling rocks at police on the Greek borders.

What a huge mess this all is. But our taxes are still being wasted on propaganda to convince us remaining in the EU is the best thing for us.

Daisyonthegreen · 10/04/2016 19:29

Anna Forbes
I do fear for our future.
Blair and his perverse quite deliberate immigration policy has a lot to answer for plus Cameron has not stood up to the EU.
I think you will find people are going to send their tax payer paid for propaganda back to Mr Cameron.
Cameron has run rough shod over his constituencies ,there is a groundswell of resentment.
The British are slow to anger but I feel sure millions will send their pamphlets back.

Anna, Daisy
whilst your comments referring to Muslims are very dubious indeed why do you feel that leaving the EU would improve the UKs position or the position of women in the UK?
You are beginning to sound like UKIP supporters at a Trump rally!

Daisyonthegreen · 10/04/2016 20:08

Engineers thumb
Dubious comments please elucidate??

OP posts:
WineAndThyme · 10/04/2016 20:15

Vote Leave due to TTIP

WineAndThyme · 10/04/2016 20:17

Given UKIPs popularity probably a leave will happen

Daisyonthegreen · 10/04/2016 20:22

WineAndThyme
TTIP is not widely known about sadly.People should Google it.

OP posts:
engineersthumb · 10/04/2016 20:27

Oh dear!
It's UKIP central at work on this thread.
The dubious comments were those making generalisations about muslims stating xx% of Muslims believe x. What exactly was the sample size and distribution? If you go looking for extremists you will find them, and if you target your research guess what kind of responses you get! But how about answering my question, how would leaving the EU actually help address integration or multiculturalism issues in the UK?

Daisyonthegreen · 10/04/2016 20:28

This tells you about TTIP and why a Leave vote on the 23rd of June is essential for your family and country.

I didn't do the research,I suggest you direct your question to the research unit.
Regards integration I suggest you get weaving I have no answers.
Regards immigration we need border control and a sensible immigration policy to obviate further integration issues.
That is plain common sense.

The European Union has decided expanding its regime is more important than democracy.
That is a journalistic comment under a photograph in this article, how very true.
The EU has ignored a Dutch referendum.

We simply need to Leave.

Engineersthumb, we have seen a huge rise in rape and assault across the EU, that cannot be denied. The perpetrators are largely men from the MENA region, where the prevailing culture is overwhelmingly misogynistic. Of course this puts women at risk as events in Cologne and Sweden illustrate. When Turkey gains accession, there will be another 75 million muslims able to move here freely. Many of those that come will be men who view Western women as easy prey, the writing is on the wall; women's safety will become compromised further. EU policy is undeniably culpable here. I dont want the freedoms we have fought so hard for to be taken away to appease attitudes that conflict so badly with Western values.

You are beginning to sound like UKIP supporters at a Trump rally! well, you are beginning to sound like a Lib Dem at a Cleggfest and that is so much worse.

Daisyonthegreen · 10/04/2016 21:31

Anna Forbes
I have to say as a female I find this extremely disturbing. All females should be alert to this threat of assault rape and indeed in one very sad case murder that took place in Sweden.I have compiled an inventory of 27 cases of such horrors perpetrated on women and indeed a male child.
It simply cannot and should not be swept under the carpet.
The cases were hidden by Merkle and other countries until it came out on social media.
That is disgraceful.
A countries first duty is to protect its citizens.
If we vote to Leave the EU we will avoid the open borders scenario known as Shengen. We will be able better to order our own affairs regards borders. We need to be a Democracy.

No, it's really really really not. And I'm no Lib Dem.

Complacency regards citizens safety is reprehensible .

Wineandthyme, regarding TTIP, I think people disengage because it sounds boring! It's a pity because I think anyone who read the agreement would conclude it is a very poor deal for us. Giving multinationals the right to sue our Government will inevitably lead to government policy being set to suit companies not people. It is seriously undemocratic.

TTIP also puts the NHS in serious jeopardy of privatization. There are talks to omit public services but I am skeptical given the non success of Cameron's other negotiations.

The TTIP agenda will align our food safety standards more closely with those of the US. The US has far less stringent rules and we will see GM and currently banned pesticides and hormones in our food.

Then there is the loss of jobs. The EU has acknowledged as companies move to the US, jobs here will be lost. No wonder Obama is keen for us to remain in the EU. It benefits him.

Daisyonthegreen · 10/04/2016 22:02

Anna Forbes
Exactly and that's why Mr Obama is coming over to "talk" to us.Im surprised at him really because he actually wanted to try and emulate our NHS in the USA at one time.
I guess big business " got to him".
