10+ exams Trinity and Whitgift 2023 entry

Hello everybody, starting a thread for parents with children who have applied for 10+ this year.

Congrats on Whitgift and Dulwich WNLastX. That's fantastic news. I'm sorry to hear about Trinity but it's fabulous your DS got two offers. Very well done!

We have received an offer from Whitgift and Emanuel 11+. So thrilled for DC. Congrats to all with offers, stay strong if you’re on waitlist (we were a previous time), and commiserations to those for whom the news is not so good. It will all work out ok.

Scholarship isn’t mentioned so I don’t think so but we are awaiting for a further email with details. The first email is the confirmation of the place offered with bursary but no further details.

That’s very kind, thank you. It’s good news, he has done well. Once we found out what they are actually offering we will consider the offer. There is a lot to consider, not just the money.

Still no news for you from either school?

No news. Sigh. I said to myself I'm going to put down my phone and not pick it up until 5. I'm still sat here and have a work meeting to present at in a couple of mins. Argh

@user1473290348 Have you had other emails from them? At some point Whitgift lost my email address and only started sending emails to my partner. I never corrected them, so I had the nervous wait of being forwarding any mails they sent to us. Could that have happened to you?

Offer of a place at W 10 + for us, had the email this morning. Beyond delighted.

Congratulations to all with places and good luck to those waiting, I have been through the 11+ with my daughter and it’s extremely nerve wracking. Hope you all get the results you want.

Also had a W10+ offer which we will probably release start of next week as T is our preference

Whitgift 10+ got offer this afternoon but seems no scholarship.. so will decline it and try next year

We’ve also had an offer W10+. @FreeButtonBee I’m impressed with your ability to make a quick decision! I’ve always had a preference for T but my DH and DS are more inclined to W. I think we’ll need the offer holders day and as many views as we can gather to make a final decision! On the other hand I’m comfortable that we can’t really make a wrong decision here, two brilliant schools.

Out of curiosity, anyone got academic scholarship at W 10+

No offer holders day for W I was told at interview. T is 23rd

i just had an instinct. You have to go with your gut on this stuff right as both are great. But for me, T was a bit more low key and less corporate and felt a bit more like a ‘normal’ school. Also slightly smaller. And the music! although my son is not super amazing he loves playing his instrument and the suppeort and range is just out of this world. I just had a really warm feeling about and my son said ‘the teachers were nicer’. We were also lucky enough to go to a school tour on a school day in June and do the sport scholarship day as well as exam and interview so had quite a lot of time there.

No academic scholarship for us but we don’t want to risk turning down a place at 10 and then also not getting one next year. It’s our top choice and we’d also have to pay registration fees at several other schools for 11+ if we turned W down now, so happy to take the place with no scholarship.

Does anyone know if T have an 11+ offer day? I can see on in the school calendar but no mention of it in offer letter or email

Whitgift 10+ : I mailed admission team regarding academic scholarship. They replied below. I don’t remember for 10+ , there was separate scholarship day. I think it was for 11+ only.
