10+ exams Trinity and Whitgift 2023 entry

Hello everybody, starting a thread for parents with children who have applied for 10+ this year.

We had ‘very well’ and have an academic scholarship interview so I think it might mean you met the general standards but not the scholarship standard. Not something to worry about

Still nothing from W for us :(

Anyone else still waiting for W? Think it's probably a no for us.

Yes for us and more for the kids too....my DS has this as first choice

We’ve heard from Trinity with a Y but not from W - still keeping fingers crossed about W

Delighted- DS got an interview at W

@AnnieH01 Yes agreed. Just want to know one way or the other. Well done to all those who've had a yes. They've obviously not yet started with the no's. Anyone been invited to this academic scholarship day they mention on the website?

That's amazing FreeButtonBee. When is DS' interview? And it's it morning or afternoon? Can you pick? I'm thinking about logistics for my DS when we get a date so I can be there (work etc)

For T academic scholarship, it was an email with 'this is the time' and it worked for us so we went with it. Not sure if you could change the time by calling up. Interview with a teacher and a chat with headmaster for the parents at the same time. No info on what it will be like and I'm keeping it pretty relaxed for DS. We shall see!

I'm still waiting for an interview date and time. Do they email only or do they ring you? I'm losing my mind going into my emails constantly to hit refresh and to check junk mail!

Assume that we won't be hearing anymore from W today. Really hope one way or another by tomorrow.

Is anyone sitting the 10 plus exams at trinity and whitgift as a practice run for the 11 plus exams at trinity and whitgift next year?

That was our purpose @Melg100 . Are you looking at other schools too?

We sat the W and T 10 plus exams and have interviews for both. Someone mentioned to me though that if they offer us a place and we decline, we can’t apply for the 11 plus at the same schools next year. Don’t know if that’s the case??
