10+ exams Trinity and Whitgift 2023 entry

Hello everybody, starting a thread for parents with children who have applied for 10+ this year.

Also J and haven’t heard

Has anyone heard from Trinity re 11+ yet? Am wearing out the refresh function on my email.

My DS is in group A11 for W11+. Still waiting for the interview email.

Tell me about it. Really frustrating. Worth sharing with the school on how can they handle the Comms better to avoid anxiety.

I called the school just a while back, they said we will either get the interview email or rejection email. They did not want to give me a date by when either will happen, very poor from the school.

I called trinity yesterday and they said they will send our results on Friday ( tomorrow)

The waiting is so hard!
We heard yesterday from W with an invite to interview. My DS was group A…so maybe they are working through the groups alphabetically/in order. Quite strange that they’re sending out in batches when schools with similar volume of applicants seem to be able to send out in one go. Although saying that, I really don’t envy any school this task!

@PKSP thanks for calling. I'm not sure how they're working out who to email as we're J and I know someone else from J who has been told about an interview. Has anyone been contacted about scholarships or the academic scholarship day?

Trinity 11+ email just out

First time post from long time lurker!

Wondering if the grouping codes are related to the order of when we receive W interview offers. Are the people in A group the ones who are also applying for various scholarships and J group not scholarships? They seem to be issuing the A emails first, guessing as those DSs will have other stages to get through. Also, my DS is a May birthday and was in J9 so not sure if the number is the birth month of the academic year or if this is just a coincidence- thoughts?! (ie Was wondering if they review at the assessments in relation to others of the same birth month?? Not sure is this is still a factor at 11+)

Just received our Trinity email. Over the moon as our DS got an interview date, it's our first choice even if it's far less local than other options.

Does anyone know how many go through to interview?

W 11+: we are in the initial batch of receiving an interview invitation. I don't think it has anything to do with exam score ranking. Otherwise, the scholarship invite should already be out. Maybe the alphabetical order of school or the order in which they mark the papers etc.

It is more likely because of the crash of the system as I said above. They are probably fixing it and making sure it works before sending out the second batch, and avoid canceling booking and rebooking. In the initial booking yesterday, all the slots remain available after half a day, which cannot be possible, and probably many slots were booked multiple times.

W10+. No candidate codes at exam but I just looked at the interview booking confirmation. There is a code there. L10. My DS is July born.
I thought the “10” refers to 10+ but maybe it is something to do with their age.

Also, I just learned that another student from DS's school (who has a very high chance of King's and only sees W as backup) hasn't received any email yet.

Trinity 11+ interview. Anyone else? Is the wording the same "XXX has done well enough in the exams to be invited for interview"? Or is that an indication that DS just scraped through??
